The local AMC owners club is represented well at the Grauland Gap Cruise Night event with a pair of Javelins. Lisa Tremonti brings out her slammed to the ground 71 Javelin pro-street ride in brilliant blue. While next to her Jim Garand displays his 71 Javelin/AMX resto-mod in era correct Burnished Brown livery. Which is quicker? Only an idiot would challenge either of these owners to a drag race.

A local Chrysler dealership had a MOPAR show, I got there very early the sun is just rising over the tree tops I know the owner and mentioned to him that he would receive a copy of this pic if he moved his car away from the other vehicles.

The Australian Maritime College (AMC) was founded in 1980 and is based in Newnham near Launceston, Tasmania. At Beauty Point they have two training vessels and this is where all the practical work for students is carried out. You can see a group of students here piloting a tender vessel as it moves around the training ship, MV Stephen Brown.

The AMC AMX is a two-seat GT-style muscle car produced by American Motors Corporation from 1968 through 1970. As one of just two American-built two-seaters, the AMX was in direct competition with the one-inch (2.5 cm) longer wheelbase Chevrolet Corvette, for substantially less money. It was based on the new-for-1968 Javelin, but with a shorter wheelbase and deletion of the rear seat. In addition, the AMX's rear quarter windows remained fixed, making it a coupe, while the Javelin was a true two-door hardtop.
