I had a very busy weekend and no time to be online. I don't think I'll be able to catch up with what I missed, but I will visit your latests posts today :)
Our dear Neolinchen is without a doubt the most unusual cat we have ever had! She has her own will in everything, which she also maintains consistently! But that is only one of the reasons why we like her so much. She came to us 15 years ago and must have been through a lot before. She is always with us and has even learned to purr over the years! In addition to her typical black chin, she always has a sceptical look in her eyes, no one can fool her, and „wise Neo“ is absolutely a clever little head. For her age she still looks good and is always well-behaved, you can always rely on her! We are happy that Neolinchen found her way to us in 2006, as I am sure she is happy about her beautiful home. May she stay with us for a long time!

Esta curiosa y pintoresca formación montañosa denominada “Los Castillos”, pertenece a la Quebrada del Río Las Conchas.
Es imponente. No solo por su color y estructura, sino también por su gran tamaño.
Está situada en la Provincia de Salta en el Noroeste Argentino, y a sólo 90 kilómetros con rumbo Sudoeste, de la Ciudad de Salta.
La distancia que la separa de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires es de aproximadamente
1.400 kilómetros.

Absolutely one of the saddest vibes I have experienced for a long time. I had the most awesome rural drive seeing all the almond trees in blossom and stopped by this old restaurant bar in the middle of no where. The parking lot is in terrible condition and as I walked thru the doors the empty sadness within was overwhelming. Not a person in sight. I wandered about clicking a few photos and as I entered the bar an old man was behind it staring at the tv unaware I was there. I spoke loudly asked if lunch was served. He struggled to make conversation and shared his kitchen is shut down for inspections. I dont think it will be reopened. Everything was in the state of neglect . Old age, illness and poverty have taken their toll. It literally gave me a headache and feeling of sadness.
Absolutely the last one folks ....for now, and will start another series tomorrow of something I really like.

I absolutely adore pikas. Not just for their cuteness, they are also extremely ambitious in how they gather food for the long winters where they live as they do not hibernate. They live in talus fields near or above timberline and store food in haypiles among the rocks that they will eat during the long winter months.
They'r not hard to spot, but can be difficult to capture as they don't sit very long in one location. They can usually be heard before they are seen as they call out back and forth, sometimes in search of a mate and others as a warning to impending danger. They are 6-8 inches in length and can live up to 6 years or so.
There is a small colony on the western side of Cottonwood Pass in western Colorado. The elevation here approaches 12,000 feet and is an ideal location for them. More to follow!

One of the greatest joys of travelling along the Lofoten islands besides its absolutely breathtaking nature and topography must be the many many MANY tunnels that links some of them or which lead the E10 through insuperable mountains. It became one of my pleasures to be at the ready with my cameras and shoot while we were inside. Soo much fun, especially since most of the time you are all by yourself, not a single other car at sight and where else does one have that pleasure?! :)

This guy absolutely stole the show for me today at Irvine Nature Center. While not uncommon by any means, Hoodeds aren’t a species I get to see everyday, so when the short boisterous warble of the male rang out in the forest I was really excited. A species of the understory, they’re quite comfortable foraging at eye level and lower, although this can mean that they’re often hard to see, despite boasting strikingly yellow cheeks and underparts which contrast nicely with the olive back and, of course, the black hood. It was a pleasure to spend a couple hours with this bird, who was completely unbothered by my presence and was happy to sing and forage the morning away while I observed in awe.

Well I enjoyed the wavy image I posted last week and just wasn't finished playing with it so I took the original images from last week and added a few of my favorites in. Stirred a bit and there you go!
I may be a little off and on for a bit (even more so than lately) due to my fall workload with school committments and the Marching Band. Please accept my apologies and I'll still be trying to keep up as always and as always, I appriciate every fave and enjoy reading every comment!
For Slider Sunday Group - HSS
This is the spectacular Waikato River which is the longest river in NZ, 264 miles long. We walked about 5 miles of it from the famous Huka Falls. The water is crystal clear and absolutely stunning!

After an absolutely white knuckle drive along the former Santa Fe Parker district, chasing the Arizona and California's westbound towards Cadiz, I stumbled into another westbound on the transcon leading me towards my ideal destination of Barstow.
It was such a relief to finally be on a paved road. Pretty much anything would be welcome after driving on sand for 50 miles.
I absolutely LOVE these little Bushtits. I looked into this dead tree and noticed about 150 of these little fella's in that tree and proceeded to try and capture one or two as the popped about. Then after a few moments of trying to focus on just one to get a shot, I realized there are actually only 2, but they were popping about so fast it merely seemed like the tree was full of them.
I wonder if these little guy's are on SPEED or some other drug that makes it possible for just 2 of them to be everywhere at the same time? I hollered at this one, "Hey, take a breath will ya, I'm trying to get a picture. How about a little cooperation, OKAY?"
He stopped for just a second and voilà. Is he cute or what, God bless him, he's adorable.

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

I absolutely am enchanted with the Plankbarrow Harbor sim at Fantasy Faire 2024. So much so that I shopped the stores there and created this look! I'm going to be making a shape using these items so the details will be on the styling card. But if you shop that sim before the Faire closes on May 5th, you might just find a few things I'm using.
