Maunakea Marketplace, Chinatown, Honolulu.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Flickr contact, Jana Obscura when she returned to Honolulu during the recent holidays. We spent a fun couple of hours eating Chinese food and walking around Chinatown with our pinhole cameras.
From the images she posts on her photostream, I admire Jana's thoughtful compositions and her use of the pinhole with it's ability to uniquely record time and space. It was neat to watch her work.
Above is a pinhole image of Jana and her trusty Zero Image 6x9 camera. I think she will appreciate the frozen chopsticks and blurred torso.

These little markets throughout many European villages are so cool! The bread guy, the cheese guy, the produce guy, the wine guy….what more do ya need?

This location opened on October 6th, 1994 and closed in January 2005. The right portion of the building became a Dollar Tree in October 2007 and the left portion became a Big Lots in September 2011, which closed on February 27th, 2025.
This photo wasn't taken by me. I stole it from the Gloucester County Property Records site and I'm just sharing it cause its cool. Too bad whoever took the photo did a shitty job. Like you really couldn't get closer and at a better time when the sun shifted? Oh well. Too bad I give more of a fuck about grocery store photos than the guy who took this did.
