This is a Kroger Marketplace construction site at Perkins Plaza on Perkins Avenue in Sandusky, Ohio. Kroger is building a 124,000 square foot store set to open in 2016. The new location will replace a 1976 built 62,000 square foot Kroger store nearby that was last remodeled / expanded in 2004.

A bustling market scene set in a town plaza. Vendors come to sell their wares from throughout the countryside. In the scene we can see peasants here to sell meats, produce, and drinks. A foreign weapon vendor can be seen showing off exotic blades. A thief can be seen ducking into an alley with the wronged vendor & two guards in pursuit. Within the buildings facing the square we can see a few interior scenes as well.

Lightfoot Marketplace
6401 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA
This shopping center was built in 2016.
The site originally housed the Williamsburg Outlet Mall, which opened in spring 1983 and closed on December 31st, 2013. The mall was demolished in August 2014. I unfortunately never took any photos of that mall while it was open, but luckily there are a few photos of the place floating around on the web. I did go inside the place a few times back in fall 2012 back when I worked in this area and I remember the inside being horribly depressing. Most of the stores were vacant and the few remaining were uninteresting mom and pop operations. The few people I saw in the place were elderly and I was definitely the youngest person checking the place out, since no other person my age at the time would have the least bit of interest in it. Closing the place down was honestly a mercy killing.
