[Eyebrows and tattoos by Ginko & Matsuo]
JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE OMBELINE!

Here we are, since january 16th Ombeline turned 7 years old : OHMYGOD! I would never EVER thought that 7 years later we'll be at this point : 10 gorgeous pullips/taeyangs (certainly not ashamed to say so) thanks to my amazing and talented friends Ginko & Matsuo, for whom I'll be forever grateful (for everything) ♥ !
These little dolls brought me SO much : amazing friends, the possibility to admire the incredible creations of others, a little artistic sense and mostly something that I feel passionate about (my little secret garden)!
Thank you for these 7 beautiful years, I can't wait to create more; so :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OMBELINE!

CSS&SB Pullman built coach 7 at Randolph Street, Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in February 1982, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The winter of 1982 was a tough one for the South Shore. New equipment was on order but had not yet arrived. As a result of layed up older rolling stock, the South Shore was forced to borrow bi-level gallery cars and diesels from the RTA.

I feel as though I'm a bit all over the place with this project so far. There is no flow with the style I'm shooting these self-portraits in, at least not the kind of cohesive look I'd like to have, but I couldn't help but use this shot for my 7th week. I finally got my "new" Polaroid Automatic 103 land camera working (blogged!) and this was one of the first shots I took on it. I'm still getting used to the camera and it's quirks (see: always underexposing), but I'm really happy it's working at all!

This location opened in 1983; it was originally a Sunoco, which was built and opened in 1968. It became a Li'l Shopper in the late 1970s.
Week 7/52
"I didn’t know the sky was made of glass until the day your screams became thunder, and it rained so hard, I bled. I saw the way storms were woven into you, but I didn’t think you were storing up so much wind. It nearly killed me, the way you wiped me out like that. I want you to know that I put myself back together, and I only bled for a little bit. You ripping me apart, it reminded me how well I could put myself back together. I know now that I was born to love, even if it’s not loving you. My chest is far too big to only have room for a boy who kissed me while breaking my heart. There is so much more to love than the type that sleeps in your bed. I am learning that. I am not defined by how well I fit inside of someone else’s pocket. This world is far too vast, and I swear I’ll never fold myself in again. I swear I’ll never break apart my ribs just so someone can fit more comfortably inside. I swear I’ll never tie up my veins like I did with you. I swear I’ll remember the way my mother called me beautiful before I remember the way you said I wasn’t.”
-Y.Z.
I found this quote last night and it was something I originally was about to scroll past because of is length. But, for some reason, I decided to take a moment to read it. And it struck home with a lot of aspects in my life, past and present.
I picked this portrait for its simplicity and subtle emotion. I realized from the beginning I wasn't going to put out a conceptual image every week (well, when I get around to it now) and some of it was going to be a little more quiet in nature. This is one of them. I have a few of this guy in my stream now, but this is probably my favorite so far from our multiple shoots.
'Sometimes wounds re-open, and they bleed, and it hurts. Even without any physical sign.
It hurts where you can't see it, where you can't heal it.
My monsters come from within
It's fear and acceptance all at the same time'
Week 7(Monster) & Theme 65/100 - Horror
This was a hard week and none of my concepts worked (surprise, surprise!). I have a second option still in process in photoshop, but because I won't arrive on time I finally decided to upload this version.
Yay! I still haven't quit!

The Book of Psalm
Psalm 100: 1-5
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his[a]; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations
