This was taken while I was back from Uni one time, I went out and took some pictures just for fun. I felt like this showed how much I loved photography!

So the "Cornhusker" #7 has arrived from Chicago on its way to Omaha, for which it can depart behind me going in the same direction. Not so for Rock Island's southbound "Plainsman" #17 from Minneapolis to Kansas City. The Twin Cities-KC mainline crosses the Chicago-Omaha mainline at Short Line Tower, east of the Des Moines depot, so it must either head in and back out or it must back in and head out. Evidently it's the first choice in effect here as it arrives at the station behind an FA1, E8 (133….) to pick up passengers, including my mom and I and anyone who wants to connect off of #7. The FA1 is rebuilt with an EMD engine and rides on EMD trucks, still showing some silver in what is my favorite of MANY Rock paint schemes. It's also not normal passenger power, being without a steam generator. Maybe the E-unit lost power and the FA1 was taken from a passing freight while the steam generator from the E-unit kept passengers warm. Hopefully, both units are working because, once we backed out to Short Line Junction and headed south...

Dolce was carrying his baby T-Rex when he felt the ground tremble. He glanced back to see momma T-Rex coming up behind him, so he screamed and dropped the baby dino. Time to run!
We took a mini trip for Valentine's weekend to Glen Rose, TX which is about 2 hours away from us. Dinosaur Valley State Park is near Glen Rose so we went to check it out. There are dinosaur tracks and fossils around the state park, and they have two life size dinosaur statues that were used in the 1964 World's Fair in New York City.
I took this photo in front of the hotel before the tour bus left for Jiuzhaigou.Over the -10 degree night, the sun finally rose.

Completely re-built to what I think would be suitable for an "official set" standard.
Everything is now legit in terms of parts, connections,strength and above all an enjoyable building experience :)
The short cut 3mm rod on the front wheel arches will be replaced with black t-bars when I can get some.
I've had to dumb down the detail in this version, compared to my previous renditions and honestly I think "IF" this idea ever got through review, etc, it would have to be dumbed down even more, but I went with this one with everything I could do.
This is one legal option, I will do another with fixed steering as I think realistcically that is the route TLG would go with if this ever "made it".
