Sculpture of the 1950/60s weekend cruising scene for teens in Modesto and a thousand other American towns. A nod to hometown boy and American Graffiti director George Lucas, sculpted in 1997 by Betty Saletta.
My parents were cruising here in the early 60s. My dad was invited to join the Pharaohs car club at one point. My hometown is mentioned in the movie several times (Turlock).

I was in New York and went to visit 5Pointz on the 17th November 2013. There was already a lot of graffiti urging "save 5Pointz". Then a day or two later, it was reported the whitewashing had begun. I returned on the 20th, 3 days later, to witness practically all the graffiti already gone, but also graffiti writers' angry responses on the white walls.

A 30 second long exposure taken on the Whittier Greenway Trail at the 5 Points Bridge. Taken on Day 3 (5/6/19) of the 4th Annual "One Week in Whittier" #1weekinwhit photography event.
Since its a 30 second exposure, only the bridge is not moving. Everything else shows some form of motion.
