me: wearing my favorite t-shirt(s). back when i was still a freshman in college, i had the unfortunate habit of coming late to class due to...(i'm ashamed to say) spending too much time in picking which clothes to wear (because i had clothes and pants of various colors). to end the problem, i bought six t-shirt with the same design, the same color, and combined them with my batik pants (back when they were still presentable in public view. hihi). one shirt for each day, except (i don't have class in) sunday.

*friends of mine thought this was a freshmen class 2001 (of which i was) t-shirt. i told them it wasn't.
*they also often asked me: so what does the numbers represents? to which i answered: i don't know, you have to asked the guy who designed it or the factory that made it. hihi.

Da una quindicina d'anni la sera del 4 gennaio mi ritrovo con gli amici,
sempre nello stesso locale, bevendo una birra e ricordando un "fratello"...
Quest'anno il 4 gennaio, prima di trovarmi con loro, ceno con mia sorella e mia madre,
assieme, ricordando un padre ed un marito che non c'è più...
Il 4 gennaio io lo trascorro con le persone che amo.
This, is Misty.
Misty is a remarkable dog, and even though I don't post as many photos of her as I do my other dogs, she still means just as much to me.
Misty is 7 years old, turning 8 this coming summer; I've had this dog since she was 2 months. She is 3/4 Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) and 1/4 Mountain Cur. We got Misty from a horse ranch, the litter was an "accident", so the pups were free. Most of the pups were actually the blue heeler color, and only 2 of them were black and tan.
Misty wasn't born with that white smear on the side of her face, she got that when she was 2 years old - kicked by a horse and the hair regrew white.
She is ultimately the alpha of our pack of dogs, she keeps everyone in line with her trusty sidekick, Petey. She is so fiercely loyal. When a strange dog comes along and she's there, she's the first to rush out and defend everybody. Although she's on her toes with strange dogs, she melts like butter to people. She's like a big teddy bear and is so tolerable she's the best with kids that like to pull on her ears or try to ride her, haha. Never in her years has she shown an ounce of aggression towards a person. She's had her fair share of dog fights though, and (even though it is most times not a good thing) I've never seen her back down even to the most "Kujo" of dogs. Even though Misty has a bit of dog aggression, I do manage to compete with her in agility. (: The trainers have to instruct everybody else though to keep their dogs back when she's running the course. It's just a safety measure though, so we understand.
Misty's motto is pretty much "tough as nails with a heart of gold". This is the kind of dog that would walk through hell with you and back. Even if her feet are scorched to the bone and she's gone blind and deaf she will still continue by your side. I'll never find another dog so epic as Misty. She is truly one hell of a dog.

A re-visit to my early digital past to show how great a small resolution camera (in modern day terms) can still cut the mustard in terms of picture quality.
This was shot with a Panasonic DMS-LC5, a 4 megapixel unit with an optical finder, and a Leica Summicron (f2 aperture) lens. The camera dates from 2002, and was also available in a slightly different skin as a Leica Digilux 1. The biggest drawbacks were that it offered no RAW image option, only JPEGs and TIFFs, and if you were after the best quality, the write speed on TIFFs was slow. And there have been no firmware upgrades for it. Ever.
The grain has been added to give a film feel - the original image is of very high quality given its resolution limits.
I look back and wonder why we are racing to huge pixel densities and mediocre image quality?
