Abellio Scotrail Class 385's 385040 + 385104 are seen here at Glasgow Queen Street at Platforms 4 + 5 prior to departure with services 2N67 and 1R96
Class 385/0 No. 385040 was in Platform 4 and booked to work service 2N67 which was the 17:20 Glasgow Queen Street to Dunblane via Stirling service.
Class 385/1 No. 385104 was sitting alongside in Platform 5 and was working service 1R96 which was the 17:15 Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh service.

Decent, restored #4 Barbie dressed in vintage pac skirt and satin body suit. Black cardi from modern circle melody. Hair covers everywhere, but is not as fluffy as some. Lips have been repainted. My restore lady did a great job with her. Legs are a little bowed. Repo shoes.
Skirt and body suit are completely intact. I think the satin bodysuit is the hardest piece to find in this kind of shape. It's from my childhood collection!
John Fishwick & Sons of Leyland Leyland Lynx II integral step entrance bus departing Preston bus station with a 111 Preston to Leyland service. This vehicle was new to John Fishwick & Sons in April 1991.
I met Tatsuru while roaming Sasebo just prior to our ship's departure. It was during this time that I really noticed how charming Sasebo could be. In the week leading up to DENVER's final farewell the weather was gorgeous and everyone seemed happy. The spirit of summer had taken its hold.
And along comes Tatsuru. This kid is talented. He was playing a game of HORSE with a buddy...on his skateboard. I asked if I could get a few actions shots and he said it was fine. I might've made him nervous. His next heelflip put him on the ground. :-P

The Daewoo LeMans is a compact car, first manufactured by Daewoo in South Korea between 1986 and 1994, and between 1994 and 1997 as Daewoo Cielo—a car mechanically identical to the LeMans, differentiated only by its modified styling cues. Like all Daewoos preceding it, the LeMans took its underpinnings from a European Opel design. In the case of the LeMans, the GM T platform-based Opel Kadett E was the donor vehicle, essentially just badge engineered into the form of the LeMans, and later as the Cielo after a second more thorough facelift.
In markets outside South Korea, the original version of the car bore the Asüna GT, Asüna SE, Daewoo 1.5i, Daewoo Fantasy, Daewoo Pointer, Daewoo Racer, Passport Optima and Pontiac LeMans names. The "LeMans" nameplate was not used at all for the facelifted model. Five-door hatchback models exported to Europe were badged Daewoo Nexia with the Daewoo Racer name used seemingly at random on various bodystyles. The Daewoo Heaven name has also been used.

A recent purchase from a well-known auction site is this 1957 Москва 4 (Moscow 4) 6x9 rangefinder camera. I love medium format, but sometimes I need a landscape format instead of the square 6x6 format of my Kiev 6C or Mamiya C220. Typical of my luck, this one has a hole in the bellows behind the front standard. The seller is sending me another Москва 4 from Ukraine. It's a beautiful camera to use, and even in non-working condition, is a thing of beauty.
The Москва 4 was a Soviet copy of the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta of the mid 1930s, with some gradual modernisation. I understand that these cameras were allocated to official and press photographers.
The Statue of Liberty is a figure of a robed woman representing Libertas, a Roman goddess. She holds a torch above her head with her right hand, and in her left hand carries a tabula ansata inscribed in Roman numerals with "JULY IV MDCCLXXVI" (July 4, 1776), the date of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue became an icon of freedom and of the United States, and was a welcoming sight to immigrants arriving from abroad.
"The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World" was a gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States and is recognized as a universal symbol of freedom and democracy. The Statue of Liberty was dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was designated as a National Monument in 1924. Employees of the National Park Service have been caring for the colossal copper statue since 1933.

So, after last night's teaser shot here's a better photo of the rather unexpected sight at a metal processing yard in Norfolk. This has obviously sat off-road for some years, perhaps turned up in a house/garage clearance or hiding on a farmyard somewhere. Shame that it's come here rather than to a yard where a few useful parts could be removed. Doesn't look like its bodywork stood up to the grab very well - I used to get a light in a 4 and remember how lightweight the structure looked inside.
The colour and grille make me think it's a late 1970s model, any better guesses?
4-EPBs 5222 leading 5251 at Selsdon on a service for Sanderstead. 8-EPB probably makes this one of the through services from London.

On February 3th, 1990, the Be 4/4 EBT # 102 (year of construction 1932), De 4/4 EBT # 235 (year of construction 1932 / conversion 1980) and the Be 4/4 SMB # 171 (year of construction 1932) in front of the shed in Burgdorf are awaiting their next assignment.

Our impromptu shoot was so much fun, and I am so glad that we did this. There are a lot of other lovely photographs from this day, but this one is my favorite.
Anna is amazing for stripping down and wrapping herself in tulle for me in the middle of January in Maine. At the end she even took off her shoes (her idea, not forced, I promise!), which didn't last for more than a minute, but I love her for doing it.

This is based on the common 3.4.6.4 pattern. You can note that an hexagon surrounded by 6 squares and 4 triangles forms a dodecagon (this could be another alternative center for several of my recent tessellations).
If you find as much of these dodecagons as possible and fold a dodecagonal twist on each one, you get this.

Het kon niet snel genoeg gaan. De zon draaide op dit late tijdstip van de dag al vervaarlijk naar het westen. Nog een paar minuten en het licht zou niet meer fraai op de beoogd te fotograferen trein schijnen. Bovendien werd in het late najaar rond dit tijdstip de zonkracht snel minder. De vreugde was groot op het moment dat de overweg van de Rue de la Gare zich sloot. Ten teken dat de Intercité in aantocht was. Exact op tijd en op een volle snelheid van 160 kilometer per uur voltrok de doorkomst van de trein. Op weg van Paris Est naar Belfort.
