This is a model of what is known as a Super Stock 4, which is a 4-cylinder full tube frame racecar built to race on dirt ovals. They are a very popular class and one of the staples of the American dirt track racing scene! The class goes by many names (such as Mini Stocks, 4-cylinders, Super Stock, etc), but they all put on great racing.

 

Built for the NCLUG Discord January MOC Challenge. Theme was "Sports"

 

Model features the modified nose and tail sections of the Speed Champions NASCAR Chevy Camaro ZL1 in an attempt to recreate the common nose/bumper covers and decals these cars race with.

My inspiration of the day: my new scarf that I just finished last night! I've been wanting to make one of those cliché crown shots FOREVER so I made one, HA. felt like kindergarten all over again.

This looks like 'icequeen was cold so she needed a scarf!' haha!

 

I had a hard time choosing, so that's why I upload more!

Die S-Klasse Baureihe W 126 war als 500 SE ab 1979 das Maß der Dinge im Reich der Oberklasse-Limousinen

Dank zahlreicher elektronischer Assistenzsysteme und Allradantrieb zoomt der S 500 4Matic,

obwohl mit 2.050 Kilo Leergewicht über die Jahre rund 400 Kilo moppeliger geworden, vollkommen schlupffrei aus dem Stand in 4,8 Sekunden auf Tempo 100.

Noch beeindruckender ist aber die Effizienz der derzeit stärksten S-Klasse: Verbräuche mit einer Acht vor dem Komma sind bei entspannten Autobahnfahrten mühelos möglich. Auf unserer Verbrauchsrunde mit Stadtverkehr und Volllastanteil genehmigt sich der Mercedes S 500 im Test 9,4 Liter Super Plus. Das liegt auch am Luftwiderstandsbeiwert, der ausstattungsabhängig bestenfalls bei 0,22 liegt. Der Testwagen bringt es auf 0,25.

Den Fahralltag in Innenstädten oder Tiefgaragen meistert die S-Klasse trotz ihrer gigantischen Außenabmessungen im Test ohne Probleme, weil die Hinterräder einen Lenkwinkel von bis zu zehn Grad ermöglichen und der Wendekreis von rund zehn Metern auf Kleinwagen-Niveau liegt.

 

In ganz anderen Sphären bewegt sich der ab 122.451 Euro teure S 500 4Matic preislich. Das hat aber bei Mercedes ebenso Tradition wie der Anspruch, mit der S-Klasse das beste Auto der Welt zu bauen.

Die Unterhaltskosten haben für den Eigner eines Fünfhunderters traditionell nie eine wichtige Rolle gespielt. Deshalb erkennt er die 8,9 Liter Normverbrauch auf 100 Kilometer als so realistisch wie eine kurzfristige Rückzahlung der Staatsverschuldung. Bereits zügiger als eine Wanderbaustelle auf der Autobahn bewegt, zeigt die Verbrauchsanzeige schnell 14 oder 15 Liter an. D-Zug-Tempo rückt schon mal die 20-Liter-Marke in Aussicht.

 

Die Werksangabe für den damals noch gültigen "Drittelmix" wies 1981 beim 500 SE 12,5 Liter aus. Und damit war der Fünfhunderter schon zügig unterwegs

Un día yo cometí un gran error, me sentía muy mal conmigo mismo por haber cometido tal error. No entraré en detalles. El punto es que esa misma tarde, en algo que ocurre pocas veces, se subieron dos jóvenes a predicar en el bus. Después de predicar nos dieron un "pan de vida" a cada uno, yo esperé a que se bajaran para ponerme a llorar, entre una mezcla de felicidad y otra de consuelo. Me puse a orar cuando llegué a casa y después todo se calmó.

 

Después de eso he pasado cosas peores, pero Dios siempre ha estado conmigo de una u otra forma. Así que soy feliz siguiendo sus caminos :)

One day I made a big mistake, I felt very bad about myself for having committed such an error. I will not go into details. The point is that that afternoon, something that rarely happens, two young men went to preach in the bus. After preaching got a "bread of life" everyone, I waited to get off to get to mourn, from a mixture of happiness and a comfort. I began to pray when I got home and then everything calmed down.

 

After that I've been through worse, but God has always been with me of one way or another. So I'm happy following his ways :)

 

Here is the verse: "Get wisdom, get understanding; don't forget my words or turn away from them" Proverbs 4: 5

A small blast of blue energy hits Drax making him disabled temporarily, I bring out my gun to fire but not before a green blast strikes the ground beside me. A small explosion occurs making me jump slightly. Naturally I fire back therefore causing another explosion destroying yet another part of my ship “My ship!”

“My ship actually.” The raccoon replies. Before I can respond rocks start floating up around us. I jump onto one and pull out my blaster. I hear whistling indicating the yakka arrow is in use. Then everyone goes into a frontal assault. Including the raccoon. Multiple blasts hit Him at once. But of course it does nothing. He raises his staff and Drax slowly flies off the ground while a spike emerges from the ground. He swiftly pulls down. Then I hear a scream, I turn around and see Drax on the ground being impaled by the spike. “No!” I scream in rage as his soul leaves his body.

 

I jump off of the rock and land near him. His lifeless body stares into eternity and back. I remove my helmet and place it down next to him. I turn my head and star yelling at Him. “How dare you! You, you demon, you murderer, you Warlock.” He looks over and simply says with a soft voice, “help me.” I scream in rage and pull out my blaster and fire three times. One blast hits the staff and the other two hit the infinity stone. I look closely and see that it cracked. The Warlock just, falls.

 

I look around, nothing to be seen but dust and of course Drax’s dead body. Everyone crowds around his body with me. The raccoon asks “Wait who are you people, some kind of team?” I look over and reply, “Yes, yes we are. And you are part it to.”

“Wait what?”

“So what are we going to do about my ship”

“My ship actually.”

“Our ship then, so who are you anyway?”

“The name’s rocket.”

“Cool, rocket raccoon.”

After months of procrastinating, I finally got around to finishing him- The day before Halo 4! Could the timing be any better? :D I'd originally planned, and began to make, some special legs for him, but today Pecovam released pictures of his Spartan IV, which has legs. So, in the near future, he will most likely be upgraded with those. I'd like to thank Brick Affliction for making such an amazing set, this is probably my favorite figure ever. On a side note, I got my Brick Warriors armor today! It's awesome, y'all should get some. Or wait for Peco's... I'll have both, I can tell you that! Just noticed this picture is somewhat blurry... Sorry guys...

Am Montag, 16. Juli 1990, fährt die Be 4/4 101 der EBT mit dem Güterzug Nr. 922 pünktlich um 9 Uhr 36 in Burgdorf auf Gleis 5 ein.

 

On Monday, 16th July 1990, the Be 4/4 # 101 of the EBT with the freight train # 922 promptly at 9:36 arrives in Burgdorf on track 5.

Since childhood I've been exposed to the image of Jesus Christ. Usually bloody, and nailed to a cross. I was told that we is the savior of mankind. I was also told he was the son of God, God himself, and many other conflicting things, including that he does not, and did not, exsist at all.

 

I have had a long and very serious relationship with this man. I have thought of him often for year upon year. Yet still, I don't know what he is, or if he is anything.

 

I have spent hours speaking with him, though even as I spoke, I did not know if I was talking to him or to myself. I have an idea that he did exist, yet also ideas that he was created by men to control man.

 

I think it is good what he, among others, represent, (usually). Something should stand for what we have come to believe is good and noble in us. I think that this is useful.

 

However, It seems to me that science disputes him. That even common sense dictates that the existence of he as a God is foolishness.

 

And yet, there is a burning desire in me that wants these "fairy tales" about goodness, and righteousness, and a everlasting soul living beyond this world to be true.

 

What a shame if all there is to us is this short and mostly superficial life of ours. What a disappointment.

 

In my home, and in my studio, I have many images of the Christ. Also, Buddha, and other persons said to be inspired from things beyond this short life span.

 

Even my own father, long dead, I relate to as if he were still alive. I carry on conversations with all of these people. Some would think me mad. And in a way, I must agree. Is it madness to believe in something that is logically and scientifically disputed? Is it mad to believe in magic and miracles? Is it crazy to think that there is anything more to us than this struggle we call our "life"?

 

If I were to live 1000 years I doubt I could be certain of the most simple question of anything pertaining to life beyond death. Jesus Christ is the symbol that represents all these questions to me.

What happens if you give anabolic steroides to a Porsche 911? You get a 959! 4-wheel drive, 6-speed gearbox, the first engine with a sequential twin-turbo and an amazing "bodykit" combined with the classic design of the 911.

 

The 959 was first built as a Group B Rally car and finished 1st and 2nd in the 1986 Paris-Dakar Rally. The street version was the world fastest production car when it hit the streets (Vmax = 195 mph / 317 kph). It was first beaten by the Ferrari F40.

 

I wanted to build the 959 quite for a while, but I have to admit that Loek Marcus was faster. He was the first buider I know who made a 4-wide 959. But it was Tom's (DeTomaso Pantera's) "fault" that I really started building this one. He wrote a comment for my latest 911 that mentioned the 959.

 

I started with the 911 and tried to combine it with some details from my Audi Sport quattro S1. It became quite difficult to combine the "3-wide" center section of the S1 with the side panels of the 911. There was always a "half plate offset" in the way. But I finally found a solution.
