Ilmnes, et ka ise taina tegemine on tegelikult imelihtne:
250 g jahu + 30 g tärklist + 150 g riivitud mandleid panna köögikombaini kaussi ja lõikuda sisse 250 g külma võid. Lasta köögikombainil mõnda aega keerelda, kuni segu on juba parasjagu purune, siis lisada 1 munakollane, 70 g tuhksuhkrut ja 1 pakk vanillisuhkrut või vanilliessentsi. Tainal võib lasta mõnda aega külmas seista, seejärel vormida sarvekesed (kogus annab 2 plaaditäit). Küpsetada 170 °C juures umbes 15 minutit ja veeretada alles soojalt tuhksuhkru-vanillisuhkru segus.
Mina võtsin osa täisterajahu. Said peaaegu sama head kui legendaarsed Oma omad!
Home-made Vanillekipferln:
Put 250 g flour, 30 g starch flour + 150 g grounded almond into the food processor, cut slices of 250 g fridge-cold butter into the flour-mix and let the processor run on middle speed till the mix is grainy. Then add 1 eggyolk, 70 g powder sugar and 1 small package vanilla sugar and knead the dough ready. Put the dough into fridge for an hour to cool, then form the little horns (2 backsheets) & bake at 170 °C about 15 minutes. Roll in powder + vanilla sugar when still warm. Voilà!
Surprise, surprise - mine taste almost as good as the legendary ones of Walter's mother! ;)

Mirfield
EE Type 4 D347 (later Class 40 40147), still in green livery, approaches Mirfield from the west with a rake of coal empties heading for Healey Mills, its home base at this time.
My records show one steam loco was seen - 8F 48620 - and six EE Type 4s - D398 / D392 / D344 / D356 / D347 / D394 - plus an EE Type 3 D6929 - apart from the steam locomotive it was all very boring stuff !!!

On Zorki, as with other Soviet-era rangefinders, the shutter speed selector rotates when the shutter is released, and should not be changed until after the shutter has been cocked. If you change the shutter speed without cocking the shutter first, the setting pin can be broken when you advance the film and cock the shutter.
Zorki-4 was possibly the most popular of all Zorki cameras. The Zorki 4 was also the first of the Zorki cameras to be exported in large numbers to the west.
Zorki-4 is basically a Zorki-3S with a self-timer. It retained all of the features and strong points of the 3S.
There are at least 14 types and 18 sub-types of the Zorki-4.
The very early models of Zorkis are Russian Leica II inspired cameras, but later models like Zorki-4 are quite different from the Leicas. Zorkis are very nicely made and finished. The results are as good as any Leica. There are many variants of Zorki models.
KMZ founded in 1942, in order to produce optical equipment for the war needs.
KMZ factory began making cameras, starting with the Moskva folding camera in 1946.
They began producing FED cameras to cover the low production of FED factory in 1948.
The factory made some design and technical changes on FED, so the production of the Zorki began in 1949. KMZ factory is the manufacturer of the Zenit and Moskva cameras also.
In 1952, KMZ created an SLR based on some modifications of the Zorki, and thus the Zenit was born.

I spent an hour in and around local reserves in fairly good weather but saw surprisingly little.
It was the first of these I have seen this year and only the second time I have even seen a dragonfly locally. One of 3 dragonflies seen on the wander but the only one that settled.
CRAAAaack... CRASH!
The door flew off its hinges as two armored men with masks and guns entered the room. I leapt into action.
Jumping of the table, I kicked one of them backwards onto his back reaching for his Uzi, I flung one of my eskrima sticks at him and caught him in the chest, knocking him back to the floor unconscious. The sound of one of his ribs cracking was deafening, even in the heat of the fight.
The other man charged me head on.
"Bad mistake, buddy. You do have a gun...."
WHAM!
The freezer door caught him square in the face, flinging him backwards, sliding across the floor.
I better get out of here. There might be more.

2013 10 22 - 18 12 32 - Ligne 4 (3)
De CC 72000. Het was niet de enige locomotief die bij het vallen van de avond in Gouaix de lucht met een luid motorgebrom deed trillen. De foto van de Intercité naar Paris Est was amper gemaakt en de trein was nog niet uit gehoorafstand verdwenen of de volgende locomotief diende zich aan. Een zware trein met goederenwagons kwam van de zijlijn van Montereau naar Flamboin-Gouaix gereden.
De spoorlijn, ook wel aangeduid als Ligne de l’Est, is slechts 27,7 kilometer lang. Vroeger had de lijn een belangrijke betekenis als kortsluitschakel tussen de belangrijke sporen naar de Frankrijk ‘Sud-Est’ en die naar ‘Est’. De geschiedenis van de lijn gaat ver terug, naar 26 juli 1844. Toen werd de concessie voor een spoorlijn van Montereau naar Troyes uitgegeven. Vier jaar later werd de lijn geopend. Daarmee is de lijn ouder dan Ligne 4, die in deze fotoserie centraal staat. De bouw hiervan begon ‘pas’ in 1856.
In 1939 is de lijn van Monterreau naar Flamboin-Gouaix gesloten voor het reizigersverkeer. Rond 1980 volgde sluiting voor goederentreinen. In januari 2012 is de spoorlijn heropend voor goederenverkeer. Graantreinen rijden vanaf Nogent-sur-Seine, richting de departementen Yonne en Loiret. Treinen met steenslag rijden vanaf de steengroeve in Haute-Marne richting Montereau. Daarnaast vinden er regelmatig overbrengingsritten plaats van TGV-treinstellen van Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (nabij Paris) naar de SNCF-werkplaats in Romilly-sur-Seine, waar de werkplaats van de SNCF voor de renovatie of groot onderhoud van de treinen van dit type is gevestigd.
Verder geldt het voorkomen van transport van kernafval door het Parijse stadsgebied als belangrijke reden voor heropening van de Ligne de l’Est. Het kernafval wordt vanuit de kerncentrale in Nogent-sur-Seine naar de nucleaire opwerkingsfabriek van La Hague gebracht. Dit argument heeft de Franse staat doen besluiten om de weerstand van bewoners over de heropening van de lijn naast zich neer te leggen.
Dit alles maakt het mogelijk om bij het vallen van de avond de fraaie steenslagtrein vanuit Montereau vast te leggen. De trein wordt getrokken door de zware goederentreinlocomotief van het type E4000. De locomotief is een jaar daarvoor geleverd aan de leasemaatschappij BRLL (Breacon Rail Leasing Ltd., London). Deze heeft de locomotief vervolgens verhuurd aan de VFLI. VFLI staat voor ‘Voies Ferrées Locales et Industrielles. VFLI is onderdeel van de SNCF en in de markt gezet als een low-cost operator.
De locomotief, de Vossloh E4000, is nog een stukje sterker dan de in deze fotoserie geroemde CC 72100. De 123 ton wegende Vossloh-locomotieven hebben een vermogen van 3178 kW (4325 pk).
Het is zeven minuten over zes als de Intercité van Paris Est naar Troyes met 160 kilometer per uur het station van Flamboin-Gouaix passeert. Na een enkele minuut worden wissels omgezet en het sein voor de E4000 op veilig gezet. Als teken dat de Intercité een seinblok verder is en voor de goederentrein de weg vrij is om de hoofdlijn op te rijden. Langzaam optrekkend vanwege de gladde rails passeert de steenslagtrein een goede twee minuten later de fotograaf.
