This intersection was lame, and still is. But in about four weeks' time, this intersection will be "pretty," once the new traffic signals get installed. This time, city crews are doing it properly, by actually removing the old lampposts, rather than installing new ones behind the original ones, like at the intersection of 22nd Street and 3rd Avenue. To see that terrible job, click here. Sadly, the lights at 22nd Street and 3rd Avenue are still like that today, with the exception of the signals facing southbound traffic.
Things never go to plan. I was meant to get the last bus home at 6pm so I could get stuff done and then stay up late to prep for tomorrow's nightshift, but I didn't really want to leave; the weekends never seem to be long enough in spending time with Tom, so he convinced/bribed me to stay with the promise of a cooked dinner. I sat drinking wine while he cooked for me. Not a bad situation at all.
