Today IUC took us on a field trip to Sankeien (三渓園) a famous garden in Yokohama. It used to be the home of Hara Sankei, who apparently had enough money to buy buildings from Kyoto and Kamakura and bring them to Yokohama!

I had a brief vacation here before heading to my final U2 show in December. It's one of my favorite places on earth. The third largest monolith in the world is the large rock you see to the right. It's absolutely breathtaking in person (and yes, it was featured in The Goonies).
My third and final photo of the love birds ( better viewed at a large image size). I almost deleted this one because the wasp are blurred but you do get some nice details of them (up close) and the detail on the flowers was really nice.
