When I asked to take her picture, first glanced to her Mom then smiled back to me like this. She is shy and beautiful.

We're looking for a nice simple logo for the Third Floor Gallery.
We're located on the third floor of an old building in Cardiff Bay, in the old docks. You have to ring a buzzer to enter. We'll be showing contemporary photography and visual arts. We hope that the work we'll show will breath and be alive, sometimes harsh, sometimes intimate, sometimes beautiful, always compelling.
The sun was short lived. It's been snowing. But fresh smoothie for breakfast brings a bit of luxury to the day. When Nixon got back from his teaching we wondered through town, stopped for lunch, spent lots of money on pretty things, then snuffled (we're both ill..) our way back to his to drop off our shopping before going for a walk round a park. We saw lots of goldcrests and stood inside a 400 year old elm tree! Apparently Brighton has the biggest elm population in the UK. The evening was spent rustling up a vegtastic chilli before hitting a few pubs then curling up with a funky film. It's been good to hang out again and destress from recent events :)
Piper had a beach party themed 3rd birthday party.
Complete with blowup pool, sand box, and a "sand castle"birthday cake.
Here in Chicago, the big city show is on July 3rd, while the 'burbs have their shows on the 4th. I was quite disappointed in the show myself...it only lasted about 20 minutes and wasn't near as cools as I'd hoped it would be. Tonight, however, my neighborhood more than made up for it. In fact, they're still making up for it lol The only downside is that Molly (my dog) won't come out from under the bed!!
I won! yay! such a big blessing and privilege to be able to receive 3rd place in the "Bandung Ayeuna, Bandoeng Bahuela" Competition...! (translation: Bandung Now, Bandung Then)

Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade
November 15th, 2012
Santa Monica, CA
Finalized in December of 2012, the City of Santa Monica funded the LEDs project with a $668,000 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) award from the US Department of Energy. For the project, LEDtronics provided:
-LED Light Bulbs, S14 Style for the Looff Hippodrome.
-LED Post Top Lights in a pendant style with mogul-base fixtures for the outdoor, rest area.
-LED Post Top Pendant Lights for the Santa Monica Pier Boardwalk.
-LED A19-Style Bulbs were used in the hard-to-reach, beacon light fixtures around the Pier's perimeter.
"The old, fluorescent lights on the Pier burned out, left gaps in the lighting and were in a difficult area to maintain," states Matt Henigan, City of Santa Monica, Office of Sustainability and the Environment, Energy Efficiency Engineer. "With the new LED lamps in place, maintenance is minimal, and we have already reduced energy consumption by over 30%. And because the LED lighting is directional, it improves safety and enhances the Pier's appearance without causing light pollution for local residents."

I'm throwing French knots at the seam. Here I am using perle 8 with 3 wraps. My fabric pieces have been getting bigger, and it seemed to want the thicker thread.
On this day in history in 350 – Nepotianus proclaims himself Roman emperor, entering Rome at the head of a group of gladiators.
Flavius Julius Popilius Nepotianus Constantinus was a member of the Constantinian dynasty who reigned as a short-lived usurper of the Roman Empire. Nepotianus was the son of Eutropia, half-sister of Emperor Constantine I, and of Virius Nepotianus. On his mother's side, he was the grandson of Emperor Constantius Chlorus and Flavia Maximiana Theodora. After the revolt of Magnentius, Nepotianus proclaimed himself "emperor" and entered Rome with a band of gladiators on the 3rd June 350. After attempting to resist Nepotianus with an undisciplined force of Roman citizens, the defeated Praefectus urbi Titianus, a supporter of Magnentius, fled the city.
Magnentius quickly dealt with this revolt by sending his trusted magister officiorum Marcellinus to Rome. According to Eutropius, Nepotianus was killed in the resulting struggle, his head put on a lance and borne around the city. In the following days, his mother Eutropia was also killed, during the persecution of the supporters of Nepotianus, most of whom were senators.
