I had another picture in my mind for today's 365: A selfie near a certain statue in the Tournay-Solvay Park. Unfortunately, the place was invaded by Boy Scouts and I didn't want to make a show of myself running to and fro between the statue and my "gorillapoded" camera! Maybe I shouldn't have minded them. Did I make fun of one of their leaders wearing a sombrero? It was Sunday, after all, and all kind of nuts are turned loose on that day!
Anyway, I kept the statue selfie in store for later and chose the nearby train stop for its colorful tags... And so ends Chapter 6 of my Awfully Big Adventure...

The pier is located at the edge of the Fisherman's Wharf district and is close to North Beach, Chinatown, and the Embarcadero. The area is easily accessible via the historic F Market streetcars.
From the pier one can see Angel Island, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Bay Bridge. Blue & Gold Fleet's bay cruises leave from Pier 39
Anne managed to stay on the bar for 39 seconds before her hands slipped off. Only one person beat her, and that was a fellow who managed to make it to 45 seconds. Most others fell off after 10 to 15 seconds.
Day 39 of the 365 Journey. Looking for something a little creepy today? One of the few things I dislike about the new house. I couldn’t actually see anything in this photo, it just looks REALLY CREEPY. A new door is going up shortly!
