I'm afraid I might be coming down with something; I spent most of the day flat on my back with Gwendolyn hopping up and down on, and just generally enthusiastically abusing me. It's days like this that I almost feel guilty for taking her from her dad; the two of them used to roughhouse and tumble around all the time. She was very much Daddy's little girl. I've been trying to fill part of that rough-and-tumble void, but especially on days when I don't feel well, it's really difficult.

It sucks that there wasn't anywhere closer that I could go, but I just have to keep telling myself that this is what's right for both of us. I'm certainly not going to keep her from my ex, but there's absolutely no way we could have stayed, either.

I'll just keep telling myself that while a three-year-old continues to jump high in the air and land on my solarplexus. Ooof.
