"How's my hair?"
"Umm, good. It frames your face pretty well"
During one of Ox-bow's open studio nights a fellow fellowship student, Sophie Roessler, and I had a show opening in the Old Inn Gallery. I created a multitude of costumes, foam wigs, and props to be worn by all willing viewers at the show. It was set up like a small costume shop and I manned the "photo booth" area and played photographer. Sophie created a tween dreamscape combining dollhouses with human hair and tiaras and wands dangling from the ceiling. It was a young girl's dream show.

This was one of the flowers we got for Sarah's Grandma. Today was her funeral, we will miss her tremendously.

"A quiet mind cures all"
Today was pretty good! I was supposed to have a reading quiz in English, but instead she said there would be no quiz and we watched Forrest Gump instead! I love that movie lol. Then I got home and had time to take a nap before my sister woke me up and I went out to dinner with the family. Then I got home, took my 365 pictures, and edited them! The best part is I don't have to worry about anything for the next week 'cause it's break! Gosh I need this break so badly, I've been having the worst headaches lately and I think it's because of stress. I was sick, and I had headaches because of that, but then when I got back I was sort of overwhelmed with the work I had to make up. blehh. But I'm happy now because I don't have to check for homework every night and all that jazz for the next week. And I'm hoping my mom will finally get around to emailing my administrator in the next week, so I can drop Algebra 2 trig and pick up an independent study for photography. That would make my school life about a million times better. ^__^

I was drawn to this number plaque by it's intricate pattern and bold colours so couldn't resist snapping it. Sometimes the simplest items make for interesting photographs.
Also, I've recently started a photography blog, you can find the link in my profile information, labelled as 'my website', here --> www.flickr.com/people/hannahbennett22/

Preserved Ashton-Under-Lyne Corporation Roe bodied Leyland PD2 39, DTJ 139 B (centre) is pictured on display at the Lancastrian Transport Trust's premises in Blackpool.
This shot was completely accidental, but I'm enjoying the sorta Lady-Gaga-being-inundated-by-paparazzi vibe it has.
A dirt-poor ice cream jockey as a pop superstar, is that surreal enough for ya?
We're Here is going dreamlike today.
And because I have the best fiancé ever, and through a series of hilarious events, this was waiting for me in my hotel room. :D

The Naming of Parts
Henry Reed (1914-1986)
Today we have naming of parts. Yesterday,
We had daily cleaning. And tomorrow morning,
We shall have what to do after firing. But today,
Today we have naming of parts. Japonica
Glistens like coral in all the neighboring gardens,
And today we have naming of parts.
