I've been watching the front of this business on State Street for the last few months, waiting to see what was to be revealed beneath the paper on the windows. Came upon last night while walking, and discovered all windows gone...

Saw some crazy underwater rigs while at a shipwreck conference event at WCC. This guy in particular had a bunch of go-pros rigged up. Too bad they didn't have proper underwater mounts so they are going to be blurry!

Popped in to a bike show in Detroit today, and while heading down and escalator, this interesting blue light pillar thing looked really interesting, so I stole a couple of shots on the ride down.
Another example of how Mother Nature can affect things. We had a thin layer of clouds and I couldn't get the super details that I got last night. The result is this fuzzy shot, which isn't too bad on its own. I never knew the moon could be so bright until I started to photograph it. I might need to get a lunar filter at some point.

Several swans are depicted, not far from the River Great Ouse where I always see lots of swans. The swans have been here for a few years. Has Banksy been to Cambridgeshire, St Ives?
He came over to see me and then grabbed a quick snack. Spring in Southlands brings some country to the city.
Enjoying a late evening tea, some baked goodies, and a Kids In The Hall rerun with my lady. Life is good!
We went out to celebrate my birthday tonight. I took my pressies with me to open. I got two new cameras!!!!!!!!!! Lucky, lucky me!!!!!!!!!
I found this awesome idea over on pinterest... paint rocks with hearts and leave them where others will find them. The girls and I had a ton of fun painting them today!

Margaret Thatcher once used the term "went pear shaped" to President Regan, and he had no idea what she was taking about. The term is only used in UK and Australasia. I've had a few things go pear shaped in my time... 83 of #366

Dear me, I am finding this 366 thing harder and harder this month! Not long now. Spent the evening wrapping pressies so had to hunt around for a subject. Came up with a shadow Christmas tree. It'll have to do!
Located on Lake Allatoona near Woodstock, GA. This is a composite of 11 different images and it was enhanced in Adobe Lightroom.
You will see two of the moons just above Jupiter on the right, and one more just below it to the left. I have a great deal to learn about planetary photography, but I think this is a decent start.
It was so beautiful this morning. A very quick shot of the view outside our front door across to Bowsey Hill.
Oh I'm a horrible mum! A couple of goodies from Amazon to keep Toby on his toes over the 'summer' (ha ha) holidays!!
Every time I've come across this fellow, he always seems to have a smile on his face. No matter the weather or circumstances upon passing "Wes," he always nods and smiles. Today I was feeling rather uninspired while out photographing with a friend from the area, when Wes approached me and a large smile/grin came across his face and asked me to take his photo. These types of strangers are the easiest to work with, as they make the photo happen. In the element of surprise, you capture the truest emotion (thus my reasoning for using my 35mm f2 AI-S lens), to get close to my subject to let him know I was ok with him being him! A quick introduce and exchange of names, Wes is a musician (who didn't express his instrument of choice) but stated that his music was in stores. Maybe the next time our paths cross, I will ask him what kind of music he does.
On a side note, on of the first members of the "100 strangers" project, Jimbo: informed me the last few times I've been out to be careful who I am photographing. Due in part to a lot of the regular faces downtown having mental issues/drug problems: some are considered by said term a "loose cannon." While I have the utmost respect for the strangers i photograph, I suggest if you approach someone you don't know please talk first and get permission for taking photos. Not everyone wants their photo put up in a bad light.

Stopped by Blue Springs State Park on our way out of Florida to see the manatees. It was a fun stop but my manatee photos weren't nearly as good as I would have liked.
This is my friend Nicola.
She is the kind of person who sheds warm yellow light over everyone around her.
She asks questions that most people would be embarrassed to ask, dares to rub wilted spinach in her teeth before going to order another coffee at breakfast, and has an entire clothing rack full of the tiniest most beautiful vintage dresses (all sorted into colour order), and has a beautifully vulnerable heart.
Today she was incredibly hung over, so I'm pretty darn impressed with her efforts for not only getting out of bed to hang out with me, but also with her efforts of doing handstands and jumping around like a big dick, just so that I could get my blasted 'photo of the day'.
