Dear me, I am finding this 366 thing harder and harder this month! Not long now. Spent the evening wrapping pressies so had to hunt around for a subject. Came up with a shadow Christmas tree. It'll have to do!

Located on Lake Allatoona near Woodstock, GA. This is a composite of 11 different images and it was enhanced in Adobe Lightroom.

Summer is coming

You will see two of the moons just above Jupiter on the right, and one more just below it to the left. I have a great deal to learn about planetary photography, but I think this is a decent start.

It was so beautiful this morning. A very quick shot of the view outside our front door across to Bowsey Hill.

The small object in the upper left is Jupiter.

Oh I'm a horrible mum! A couple of goodies from Amazon to keep Toby on his toes over the 'summer' (ha ha) holidays!!

Stopped by Blue Springs State Park on our way out of Florida to see the manatees. It was a fun stop but my manatee photos weren't nearly as good as I would have liked.

This is my friend Nicola.

She is the kind of person who sheds warm yellow light over everyone around her.

She asks questions that most people would be embarrassed to ask, dares to rub wilted spinach in her teeth before going to order another coffee at breakfast, and has an entire clothing rack full of the tiniest most beautiful vintage dresses (all sorted into colour order), and has a beautifully vulnerable heart.

Today she was incredibly hung over, so I'm pretty darn impressed with her efforts for not only getting out of bed to hang out with me, but also with her efforts of doing handstands and jumping around like a big dick, just so that I could get my blasted 'photo of the day'.

Where The Heart Is

Included in my "2012 - 366 Days" project

Tennis Season is right around the corner guys! I haven't been outside of the house for a couple of days so thought I'd go to Jefferson to check it out and decided to do this as my picture for today. I also buried the ball in that little pile of snow so if it snows hard tomorrow go find it!

Hmmm..... not sure what to say really .... dew drop. Or, as Simon helpfully pointed out, "Yet another green picture!"

We stumbled upon this poppy field whilst walking Milo today. A week or so late judging by the number of seed heads! Nevertheless it was a beautiful sight. I must try and remember it for next year!

" The Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial, 50.5 acres in extent, is situated in a beautiful wooded area. The cemetery was established on December 29, 1944 by the 609th Quartermaster Company of the U.S. Third Army while Allied Forces were stemming the enemy's desperate Ardennes Offensive, one of the critical battles of World War II. The city of Luxembourg served as headquarters for Gen. George S. Patton's U.S. Third Army. Gen. Patton is buried here.

Not far from the cemetery entrance stands the white stone chapel, set on a wide circular platform surrounded by woods. It is embellished with sculpture in bronze and stone, a stained glass window with American unit insignia, and a mosaic ceiling. Flanking the chapel at a lower level are two large stone pylons upon which are maps made of various inlaid granites, with inscriptions recalling the achievements of the American armed forces in this region. On the same pylons are inscribed the names of 371 of the missing. Rosettes mark the names of those since recovered and identified.

Sloping gently downhill from the memorial is the burial area containing 5,076 of our military dead, many of whom lost their lives in the Battle of the Bulge and in the advance to the Rhine River. Their headstones follow graceful curves; trees, fountains and flower beds contribute to the dignity of the ensemble.

The cemetery is open daily to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except December 25 and January 1. It is open on host country holidays. When the cemetery is open to the public, a staff member is on duty in the visitor building to answer questions and escort relatives to grave and memorial sites. "
