It's time for a garden tidy-up!
Determined not to have another evening looking round the house for something to photograph so popped straight into the garden after work while there was still just a little light.

Well, here we are. It's done. Thank goodness! I'm dedicating this last shot to the 3 people who have put up with me during the last 366 days. Thank you Immi and Tobes for being willing subjects and taking an interest in what I was doing (sorry you are out of focus Toby!) Thank you Simon for bearing with me while I dragged you all out to places so I could get a photo, and then when I spent hours at the computer uploading, editing and looking at everyone else's images. And thank you too for my beautiful new camera!! Love you all xx
I'm very surprised with myself for finishing this - I'm not good at completing things normally!! I'm really pleased that I did though. I'm now on the look out for some weekly challenges rather than daily so hopefully I will stay in contact with all of you lovely flickr people. Thanks so much for commenting and encouraging daily - it helped so much that you were out there!! Anyway, I wish everyone a truly Happy New Year and I look forward so much to seeing everyone's images over the next year!
Last minute again. Busy day at work then we went to watch Nativity 2 last night - it's ok but not as good as the first one

Derek Anderson skates outside Black Moon Tattoo on East Johnson Street in downtown Madison.
I approached Derek with a request to do a more gnarly trick, when I noticed he was handling his wrist rather gently. Turns out he broke it back in October, which as a matter of fact isn't the best bone for a tattoo artist to break. Finally being able to be out on the board again, Derek might have pushed himself to his limits as he tweaked it again earlier this week. I shared with him my photo and explained the concept of (608)strangers project to him. He was more then happy to be included, and gave me a little bit more incite into his life. While he calls Wisconsin home, Derek is originally from Texas; Moving to Poynette when he was only two gave justification to where "home" really is to him. We discussed the bi-polar weather we've been having in the upper Midwest lately, and came to the agreement that we don't mind the clouds but the mercury needs to change for the better. I left as it was time for me to call it a day and get back home. Before parting I shared my Facebook photo page with him, and as the Earth is round he and I have mutual friends in common (via my earlier days of the 100 strangers project! For the sake of both of us I hope the weather turns for the better sooner then later.

Ha! Was taking a pic of something else entirely but Simon's laptop was in the background! Not very inspiring but another busy day culminating in a long meeting tonight with the chap who is designing our extension. These things take a lot of chat!

My RED Colour #photoassignment post.
I took the baby tomatoes from the fridge and placed them over a green cloth (the pale green makes the red look redder) and then got two holes center stamp outs from the hole punch added eyeballs with a black felt pen. The tomatoes where cold so condensation on them held the eyes in place.

Beautiful old house in Newport, near Saffron Walden. It is close to the railway at Bridge End. It has the date 1692 over the door but dates from the 16th century. I have been lucky enough to go inside, when I visited the owner a few years ago. I am not surprised to find that it is a listed building. Grade II* which relates to particularly important buildings of more than special interest Apparently it used to be an inn and was known as the Kings Head and from 1692, when it was refurbished, The Crown Inn. Legend has it that Nell Gwyn stayed here to meet with with King Charles II when he stayed at nearby Audley End House (the property which he bought for £5 in 1668, for use when he visited Newmarket)!
