Day 26/365
More in-home/studio work today, but this was a really fun one! Got creative with making my own flash flags/grid (i.e. a lot of tape, straws, and cardstock), but learned some cool stuff. #365project
My dad came down to Mississippi. This is the second time since my mom passed. I always loved playing cribbage with dad.
Went to see my old friend Jose Ruiz speak at a workshop he was leading. It was so great to see him and reconnect. He calls me sister and i call him brother. That's how it feels. I've known him since about 2002 when I started working at his dad's office ( Miguel Ruiz )

I came across these birds (off Lombard Street in Portland, OR) on my way to work.
I drove past them only to stop a little bit ahead and walk by with the camera.
They seemed content where they were, looking down at all the morning commuters, perhaps a bit envious of their situation...or not...who would know?

Worked a boring 8 hour bartending shift today for Super Bowl Sunday. I spent those hours staring at all the drunk people across the street bbqing and having fun. Sigh.
10 of 365 "NoH8" Today was a groundbreaking day for the LGBT community...Proposition 8 was overturned and ruled as unconstitutional by chief Vaughn R Walker. This is just one step closer to marriage equality! Since I grew up with lesbian moms, it is an extremely happy and emotional day for me and my family, which is why Colleen and I decided to dedicate our 365 picture today to the LGBT community.
