The new Wartburg 353 saloon was presented in Autumn 1965. It had a very modern and attractive bodywork for mid 1960s. But engine and technics were already out-dated at the presentation.
The 353 was designed by Hans Fleischer in cooperation with Clauss Dietel and Lutz Rudolph.
In October 1967 an estate version was added: the 353 Tourist.
1989 was the very last model year Wartburg offered 3 cylinder 2-stroke engined cars.
In 1970 ventilation outlets in the C-pillar appeared.

They were in the pit garage. The sound of racing motorcycles screaming past the main straight filled the warm humid air. "She's finished" he said admiring his fully restored Honda racing motorcycle, whilst sipping a cup of much needed coffee. "Yeah" his friend said in agreement. "I'd say she's ready to race".

The Special X (SX) was an attempt to produce a more stylish Lambretta, symbolised in the companies marketing slogan SX appeal.and came in two variants SX150 and SX200 replacing the Li Special 150 and TV200 though the Li Special 125 remained in production. Very much the Scooter to own by any self respecting Mod large numbers were imported into the UK.
The machines were produced over three separate Marks.
The Mark One was a revamp of the Li Special 150 the changes were that the paintwork was no longer metallic, a chrome horn casting grill and a chrome flash were added on the horn casting and front mudguard respectively. The bike kept the Li Special body work with the octagonal headset and squared off front mudguard as well as the side panels with the two rear 'finger flashes The engine and gear ratios was modified to gain more speed over the Li150 Special by modifying the ports, this gave the bike 9.38hp and a top speed of 56mph
The Mark Two arrived in early 1968 the badge on the horn casting was changed to a rectangle one, the front forks had press in bump stops and the glove box was changed to grey plastic
The Mark Three of late 1968 its panel handles were removed and replaced with Lambretta GP/DL style clips

The BSA Bantam is a two-stroke unit construction motorcycle that was produce BSA (Birmungham Small Arms) between 1948-71 The Bantam was based on the DKW RT 125, a design that was received as war reparations, with the Bantam as a mirror image so the gearchange was on the right side as with other British motorcycles of the period
The D7 Super was introduced in 1959 and produced through to 1966, powered by a 175cc two stroke engine of 7.4bhp giving the machine a top speed of 57mph. The D7 succeeded the D5 and shared the same engine configuration but had an entirely new swinging arm frame and hydraulically damped forks which incorporated a nacelle mounted headlamp. The D7 continued in production until 1966 with at least 3 different styles of tank and alterations to the Wipac (Wico-Pacy) powered electrical system including a change to battery powered external coil ignition.

The B1000 was quite modern at the time of its presentation in 1961. Only the 2-stroke power source was already outdated.
During her almost 30-year lifetime the B1000 remained unchanged. Only in Autumn 1989 the old Wartburg 2-stroke engine was replaced by a 4-stroke 1.3L engine.
This new engine didn't brought a solution for the big amounts of unsold vans in 1990. In this last year the curtain fell for good for IFA Barkas.
This van still has the old type engine. So we can presume that it is older than 1990 but was finally sold in 1990 out of an old stock.
This van was in use as service vehicle of 2-stroke specialist Garage Oppermans, Tilburg.
The owners, the two brothers Oppermans, retired in 2019 and the son of one of them took over the company. I don't know if this garage is still involved with 2-stroke vehicles.

It was not so easy for me to get suitable pictures of this moving van. Also sunlight wasn't cooperative.

My old Supa5. This is my favourite motorcycle of all the many I have owned. A very relaxing bike to ride over a long distance. Seen in around 1992. A scan of a 35mm negative.
Afaik one of the last built of this design of Kenworth SAR model, this 1986 8V92TA Detroit Diesel powered example is looking anything but its 30plus years of age as it passes through Bellingen, NSW.

In 1959 artist Vegter van Slooten (1926- ) and his girlfriend Diny Vrieling departed from Yde (Drenthe) for a long journey with their T300 to Cape Town, South Africa. It took them three years vice versa. 42.000 (other source says 53.000) km with 500 kilogram luggage, through desserts and tropical forests.
When finally back in the Netherlands they were offered a new Goggomobil TS-series Coupé by Goggomobil director Glaser because of their achievement.
Van Slooten still had his T300 Limousine in 2000.
In 2021 this Goggomobil was on display in 'Het andere Museum', Leeuwarden.
The Goggomobil microcar was presented in Autumn 1954 by Hans Glas GmbH, Dingolfing, Bayern. Chief engineer was Karl Dompert.
The Goggomobil T250/T300 series was expanded with the T400 in October 1957.
A second front wiper came late 1956 for model year 1957.
From March 1964 onwards the door hinges of all models were replaced to the front side of the doors (conventional way).
In 1966 the Glas company was bought by BMW, but the production of these microcars remained till 1969.

2016 TX RACE™ Conversion Kit® for Honda 2-Stroke CR 125 250 2000 2001 is an update and modernization of the aesthetic line of 2-Stroke Motocross and Enduro [CR and CRE], a model which Honda stopped selling in 2007. This solution offered by TX RACE™ can be easily put up, notably improving the appearance of the motorcycle, no chasis modification is required and involves a significant revalorization of the motorcycle which compensates for the cost of the updating kit.

I've owned Stanley since Sept 2010 (a 1970 Subaru 360 Van )
Been working really hard on him trying to get ready for spring/summer and the car show season =)
Since I have owned him, I've added the headlight "eyelids", rebuilt and reconstructed all "3" (yes 3...) sets of OE style mud flaps, and finally - added a custom made roof rack.
What an awesome winter project.
Next up is to get to some of the mechanical bits and other details.
I'll post updates as the project progresses.
This photo is from Stanley's super hot glamor shoot (yesterday hahaha)
Enjoy!

Now I have my Trojan Mini Motor taxed, MOTd and insued it is finally road legal. I had to go on a trip to Geoffrey Butler cycles in Croydon at the weekend about 8 miles from my home in Sutton. The route takes me down Purley Way in Croydon which is where the Trojan factory used to be and where my Mini Motor was made. Trojan Way used to be the entrance to the factory and I believe was named after the company. My camera came along too as I couldn't resist taking a couple of pictures of my Mini Motor back where it was made 58 years ago.
There is a link to an aerial photo of the Trojan factory in the 1950's here:

(click the 'Explain' link)
Trojan Way is now home to a Currys superstore and a Toys-R-Us.

This little Kawasaki started out life with a 400cc. 3 cylinder two stroke engine, Then a very clever man decided to strap on a couple of extra cylinders...
During 1952 the German engineer Fritz Fend (1920-2000) had developed his Kabinenroller into a small tandem 2-seater: the 1953-54 KR 175, which was succeeded by this KR 200.
