I tried again, not using so much yellow and got a cooler temperature in the painting, but still not what I was hoping for.
Siemens Desiro 350103 departures from platform 11 at Crewe with the 14.21 Birmingham to Liverpool service, 2nd June 2008. Originally delivered in a plain light grey unbranded livery the class 350 units are now appearing the very attractive London Midland livery.
Lakenheath signal box is seen here on the 2nd July 2012. It has had a small reprieve as it was due to close on the 23rd June 2012 however this has been put back and is now planned to close on the 19th August 2012. The box is on the Ely – Norwich line and opened in 1885. The box controls a level crossing currently still worked by gates and when the box closes the crossing will become a Manually Controlled Barrier (Obstacle Detector) (MCB (OD)) type crossing controlled by Cambridge PSB. This is the latest type of level crossing and apart from the trial crossing at Filey, Lakenheath, Shippea Hill and Brandon will become the first operational crossings of this type. Although it can be operated by the signaller at Cambridge it is designed to operate predominately automatically with the barrier lower and raise being initiated by the train. Unlike a current automatic crossing (Auto Half Barriers (AHB)) which only closes half the road against rail traffic a MCB (OD) will fully close the road and will use radars to ensure that nothing is trapped on the crossing. It uses three radars and they can be seen in this photograph, one being housed in the white canister at the bottom of the steps and the other two being mounted one above the other on the short post in between the Up and Down lines. Further information regarding the signal box gratefully received.

This first chalk festival in Ireland was organized by diffusion events on 20th and 21st of august 2011 in Dun Laoghaire Dublin.
Leon Keer and Remko van Schaik were invited to make a 3d street painting. The result is a surreal landscape with some strange flying objects. Interaction by making a photo of people standing on the flying objects in the 3d streetpainting
The road to Torver.
It hasn't been the most pretty of days today, but there was a little bit of drama in the sky for me at least. I took this as a 3 shot panorama (landscape orientation) using the D800E/Nikkor 85mm f1.8 hand held. I really must get a pano head one of these days though!
Still... it's not a bad "office" I suppose.
46032 is about to depart from York with 1M61, 10:15 Scarborough - Birmingham, 2nd June 1979.
Locomotive History
46032 was built at Derby in 1962 as D169 and was part of a batch of twenty seven Peak Type 4 locomotives allocated to Gateshead for North East – South West , Trans-Pennine and secondary East Coast Main Line duties and it would remain a Gateshead engine for all of its career. One of the last ten class 46 locomotives to receive a classified repair (light) at Derby works it was released back to traffic in May 1980 and therefore escaped the mass storage and subsequent withdrawals in the Autumn of 1980. 46032 was withdrawn in October 1981 however due to an increased need of Type 4 power it was reinstated and admitted to Derby works for an unclassified power unit repair at the end of 1981. During the first week of January 1982 withdrawn 46040 was sent up to Derby from Swindon as a source of a replacement power unit to assist with this repair and 46032 re-entered traffic in the spring of 1982. It continued in service until stopped at Gateshead in mid February 1984 with power and wheelslip problems, however it was repaired and released back to traffic on the 9th March 1984 but was back the next day with power unit trouble. Released the next weekend it was kept on local work for the next week and by the end of March 1984 it was at Bristol Bath Road as a spare locomotive. On the 25th April 1984 it arrived at Thornaby with fire damage and it was condemned on the 30th April 1984. The next day it was dispatched to Stratford works for cannibalisation. It left Stratford works for Doncaster Works on the 30th September 1984, spending the month of October en route at March and finally arrived at Doncaster works on the 15th November 1984. It was broken up in August 1985.

Cupar`s 2nd appliance is seen turning out from Crewe Toll in Edinburgh on 04/07/21 whilst on standby. Edinburgh was hit by extreme rainfall in late afternoon and there were multiple flooding incidents in the city which resulted in many standby moves to maintain cover. Also at Crewe Toll were Burntisland, whilst appliances from Alloa, Larbert (x2), Bo`ness, Haddington , Tranent and Denny RRU were amongst many others which also attended calls in Edinburgh.

It was during Emperor Justinian’s rule from 527 to 565 AD that Byzantine Art and architecture flowered. He instituted a building campaign primarily in Constantinople and later in Ravenna, Italy.

my second trial used 350 photographs to create this Time lapse
South aisle window at Pershore Abbey, during reinstallation of a lancet window by Clayton & Bell (which I'd just repaired for Norgrove Studios). Taken by a passing parishioner who was amused by my appearance in the top of the window (long-haired, bearded and bathed in light), so kindly passed the resulting photos!
