Upland heathland under restoration, Manor Common, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall.
The common is showing good recovery of dwarf shrubs, especially Heather (Calluna vulgaris) and Western Gorse (Ulex gallii), amongst the Purple Moor-grass (Molinia caerulea), following reduced stocking under a Countryside Stewardship agri-environment agreement. It used to look like a billiard table (I'll scan an old slide of it when I get chance)!
Another dandelion seed head with morning dew as well as a dead fly. I've seen "frozen" bees in the early morning dead, clinging to a flower but this is the first fly.

Here a bare flash was set 18 inches from the subject. The head was zoomed to 24mm resulting in hard shadows. Note with the head zoomed to 24 mm there is less light on the subject than when compared to zooming the head to 105mm.

I see these kids everyday and they're always up to something funny. Once I saw them flipping an old mattress down the street. Once they were shooting water guns at passing cars. Once they were painting another neighbors motorcycle. There's a lot of evil in Osan.
