Today Queen Mary 2 arrived into Liverpool part of Cunard's 175th Anniversary. She will stay overnight and meet her sisters Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth in the Mersey tomorrow.

In one of those outside corridor of the Imperial Palace, a surprised can appears everywhere... Here there is something attractive at 2 o' clock. But what?

「天童禪寺」座落在距寧波市東方二十五公里的太白山麓，為「天下禪宗五山」之一，由僧人「義興」創建於西晉永康元年，迄今已有一千七百多年。傳說當時僧人義興雲遊到此，結茅開山建造精舍，他在茅舍中日夜虔誦經書，天長日久，感動玉帝，玉帝命太白金星化為一童子，從天而降，為他侍奉供養，待寺建成後，童子飄然而歸，故得名為「天童寺」，並把三面環抱古剎的群山稱為「太白山」。「天童寺」不但是中國佛教臨濟宗的重要門庭，還是擁有八百萬教徒、三萬三千餘所寺廟的日本佛教主要流派曹洞宗的祖庭，在中日文化交流史上有著重要地位，大陸改革開放以後，每年都有大批日本信徒來天童禪寺朝拜祖庭、舉行盛大法會，在促進中日文化交流上，有很重要的作用。

「天童禪寺」群峰環抱，寺院樓閣掩映其間，像一尊彌勒佛端座在靠背椅上，故有「群峰抱一寺，一寺鎮群峰」之稱。它不僅以佛國名院著稱，而且是風光秀麗的旅遊勝地，寺院四周峰巒疊嶂、古木參天、景致秀麗。明崇禎四年密雲禪師住持天童寺，十年間百廢俱舉，千僧過堂、香客盈門，是天童寺最鼎盛時期，奠定了今日寺院的規模與格局。「天童禪寺」主體殿堂大佛殿，重建於明崇禎八年，並於清康熙四十年和咸豐三年又兩次重修，現殿宇為清式形制，但其佈局仍具明時遺蹟。寺院依山而築、層層遞升、高低錯落、逐殿登高、氣勢軒昂，整個建築佈局嚴謹、疏密相間，構成了一組恢宏、壯麗，保存完整的佛寺建築群體。寺內收藏有清代順治、康熙、雍正皇帝的御書碑刻等珍貴文物，是中國的重點文物保護單位，漢族地區重點佛教寺院。

The Dunedin Model Train Show wants this pic for their flyer so I've spent the last two hours revisiting memories from three or four trips out to Arizona seven years ago. Back then, just before the financial crisis hit, there was a lot of post-merger colour and older power on the trains (although not so much on this particular one, which was all dash-9s except for the -8 in #2 spot). The Netherlands-Wieringermeer

In 2020 the project Viskringloop Wieringermeer was realised, in the north of polder Wieringermeer, close to the old dyke of the former island Wieringen, Robbenoord wood and the village Den Oever. The aim of the project was to create a better connection for migrating fish from the Wadden Sea and lake IJssel to polder Wieringermeer. The different parts of this 17 acre terrain and surrounding area have underground interconnections, specially designed for the fish. The depths of the different parts vary and there are all kinds of spawning possibilities. An artist took care of the design of the terrain.

Taken on a rather miserable evening, with rain and cold everywhere. I thought I wouldn't be able to get any shots of note but I quite like this one.
