This vertical version seems to be preferred by 90% people I show it to above my preference for the horizontal shot. Certainly it has some advantages : more even lighting, less movement of the foliage. Specifications : Canon 5D, 16-35mm 2.8L, Gitzo tripod, polaizing filter, ISO 100, f22, shutter 20 seconds.

To be in a magical place at the right moment can only be compared with a few things in your life. One thing I learned the last few years in my photographic adventures is to relax, let the anxiety (for making a good capture) go away and finally to embrace and "feel" the nature surrounding you, then everything can take its turn and become reality.

The distant cloud played its part in this composition, I was on Morfa peak starring and enjoying the wonderful view from one of the most beautiful spots in Greece, the sky was kind of dull but that lonely and attracting cloud standing in front of the sun was just calling out for a nice sunset capture.

I left my equipment on the ground, and relaxed enjoying the view, waiting for the sun to touch the distant mountains and waited for the time I would be able to shoot a sunstar with some summer colors in my frame.

I had already spotted a lonely rock in the peak which gave me a wonderful view without any distractions, once the sun was lower than the cloud I started preparing for the capture.

This is a double exposure manually blended with Tony Kuypers Luminosity masks.

An extremely versatile 6×6cm twin-lens focusing reflex taking twelve pictures on 120 roll film. Although this camera is priced at the lower end of the scale, it incorporates most features required by the keen beginner and yet has a performance that will satisfy the critical user.

The lens is a 75mm coated f/4.5, which focuses down to 4'. The leaf shutter is behind the lens, has five speeds from 1/15th to 1/250th second, and is synchronized for flash.

Another image (hand held) taken with my Helios 44-2 48mm vintage lens. I also used a macro extension tube. It's been fun learning, there is a slight learning curve to using this lens. I hope you guys like it.
