Come si può resistere all'eleganza di un vestitino bianco e nero a pois?

Era una vita che ne desideravo uno... Un piccolo delizioso sfizio che mi sono tolta!! ;)

Io al Nido dell'Aquila - Berchtesgaden Germania

Oh yes, that's right, this guy's got a letter jacket! Sophomore year of high school I earned a varsity letter for speech and debate. I was gonna be damned if I didn't get a jacket for it just like all the jocks. It got some good use too. For three years, I lived out of this thing in the cold Wisconsin air. They're actually quite warm and cozy. I found this guy while rummaging through my closet, seen here in the background. There's some other goodies in there that I might whip out in my remaining days back home. I'll be up north away from the internet for deer hunting this week, so I'll post again on Friday-ish.

Friday! It's fun. Disco~Stu and his family came round for tea tonight, and, as you'd expect, Stu just happened to be carrying some emergency dress-up gear.

And there's a slight lack of fun on my photostream (though it's there if you look carefully. Occasionally) so I chucked opn the galsses and started shooting.

I think I subconsciously got the idea for this from this shot by Poems of a selfish record player.

And now, I've had a really long week, full of long days, so I'm going to apologise in advance, post and run again and try to veg out a bit. Today wasn't the relax-fest I'd hoped for, in fact it was quite the opposite so need to sit in front of the TV for a while and do nothing but drink Coca Cola and eat crisps.

With every passing weekend, with every return trip home, I feel more and more disconnected from the place I came from. I'm standing there in that room and people are talking about stuff that I was never there to see.

I'm also reminded of how beautiful my home is. Not just the house but the whole area. People that had visited our area had always told us how beautiful it was but I never fully appreciated what they were saying until now.

However that doesn't mean that I will return. Amongst all the beauty and familiarity there are still those old thorns that I left behind.

It's a struggle between reasons for and against following this crazy dream you see. If I ever want to move to America for a while I would have to leave this little guy to grow up on his own. Which brings rise to how much you are willing to sacrifice for a place you know nothing about and a goal you have no idea how to achieve.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just being (crazy) silly. Maybe this will all turn out to be amazing but right now I'm grateful for moments like these where I can create things that I can find an escape in.

BIG appreciation

Where I'm at: Minneapolis, MN

I could have been in Chicago still attending art school, or Los Angeles going into photojournalism, or even traveling after selling off all of my belongings (tried it once. A volcanic eruption interrupted that trip)..but everything has kept me in this city for the better. Time will come to move on :]

Oh. I still cooked dinner tonight too ;]

I whipped up some Ziti with Basil Pesto and Havarti mixed in. French bread on the side.

It’s odd how I’m still finding hidden treasures and landscapes in my backyard after all the time I’ve spent exploring it. Spencer’s been hassling me to go on ore adventures and recently I found myself at the Cleveland Dam which is where I met Aaron. Aside from Jon and Justin he’s the only other person I’ve met through Spencer. I’ve met a lot of people this year and from the amount of time I’ve spent with Spencer you’d think I’d have met more people through him. While we didn’t spend much time talking I got to learn him through his shots. He was trying for long exposures of water and was steadfast in his resolve for them. It was a wet day from all the water pouring over the falls but a good hike and adventure nonetheless.
