I was finally able to find and photograph Battery 247 in Washington. It is located in a Washington State Park on part of what was once Fort Canby. The primary problem in locating it is that State Park Maps mention the fact that this is also a "Lewis and Clark" historical location, they don't mention that Battery 247 is here.

We went to this really cool park today. There was lots of swings and dangerous spinning park toys to almost puke your lunch out on. It was loads of fun.

Last weekend we headed up to Cheddar Gorge. Unfortunately it was a bit of an overcast day and the sky wasn't up to much so I didn't get any of the landscape shots I was after. This shot is of the 247 steps up to Jacobs ladder.
This will be my last post for a few weeks as I am off to California this weekend. Look forward to catching up with everyone's shots when I return and hopefully, I will have plenty of new stuff to share myself ;)
My brother just got back from the Holy Land so i was thinking of this...Self portrait as The Dome of the Rock, in Jerusalem. I don't recommend gold leafing your head! It makes a terrible mess and is something to get off!! :] I did not use the flash. The lights from my bathroom mirror lit up the gold so nice.
