1. What are you grateful for today?

That I had the courage to confront mum as she is strongly against my decision to go traveling. I was not happy with the way she kept on criticising on the little things and I burst out my anger and I talked senses into her by reframing all the negative things she see in everything. I coached her to stay away from negativity and be more positive in life so she'd be much better off in maintaining good relationships with people and keeping herself happy.

2. What emotional message did you have today?

Calm. Angry.

3. What have you done today that move you forward to achieving your dream or goals?

Purchased travel insurance with AXA Smart Traveller VIP at RM321. Checking out phone plans and making to-do-list for tomorrow errands run.

4. What have you learned today? How can you do it slightly better next time?

It's hard to affect people, it may be more appropriate to influence them by your mindset. They can believe in what they believe in or do what gives them fun, you can also believe in what they believe in and do what gives you fun. Same concept cannot have double standard because priority and personal pleasure have no measurement in terms right or wrong. Asking a reframing question is the key to leave the impact you want to have, because ultimately it's all about perspective.

5. What have you done to leverage your ability today?

Coaching mother and Munyi and controlling my own emotions.

6. Have you veered off or stayed back at your centre? Have you contracted or expanded?

Remained.

7. What is that one issue/mistake that you notice today and what can you learn from it?

The main reason why people can't be emphatic because they see things using their lens. If there is a universal lens can be used by everyone, everyone in the world will be much better off in being empathetic. Nevertheless, it is the different lens that make things interesting eventually because it gives you a different perspective and the blind spot that you don't see. Learning when to put up or take off the lens in seeing things are crucial.

8. What's the one thing I want to focus more/ 1 thing I want to eliminate?

Be very firm and determined in the decision and the stance (belief system) and never get swayed away by the other voices. You don't need to sell people anything, you just need to tell them what you believe in. And like I told Munyi, we need to treat certain things in life like a game, in order to play it well you must learn to enjoy it first, and play with a lot of fun to sustain it. When you don't get carried away by your emotion and stay focus in the game, you will win it in the end.

Clara and I had been looking for this large and beautiful species of woodpecker for many, many years. Then we saw two in a span of three days. Go figure.

This is the male: one can tell by the red band behind the bill. though the red is muted as this was taken at sunset.
