The rear of 188 was awful before primer, it has been transformed. Really happy with the results so far. Just gutted I can only do this one day a week for a few hours.
Ran at Le Mans in 1989 with Damon Hill joining David Hobbs and Steven Andskar. Achieved the final podium for a 962 in a World Championship round in Montreal
This Leyland Lynx was new to Keighley & District as 201 in 1989 and was the first of 8 new buses for newly privatised AJS holdings that latterly became Blazefield Holdings. This vehicle found its way to Sovereign in Stevenage before being sold to Stotts of Minsbridge - that used it with 3 other Lynxes on school contracts until they were replaced with Darts in 2008. Due to the historical significance of this vehicle it was purchased by some of the founders of AJS holdings and is currently back at Keighley where it is seen getting restored next to the last remaining fleet liveried ECW bodied Leyland Olympian 389.

This morning we had our carpet cleaned (hence the empty space in our dining room) and seriously less then an hour after the guy left my dog managed to pee, poop, and throw up three different times on the newly cleaned carpet. WTF!!! Anyway it was one of those days I was too busy to think about a shot or even have the motivation to want to. This was right before bedtime and I just grabbed my camera to get something for today. Hopefully tomorrow I will have more inspiration and motivation.
I tried to get her on the cow for Happy Big Cushy Chair Tuesday, but she was being difficult... such a girl. I'm going to use it anyway, so HBCCT!
Hmm... a concept to work on, didn't quite turn out the way I had planned but then again that is probably because I was impatient and frustrated with getting the framing right.
Brand new Relco 1500 XD CIC 201 sits outside the Crandic shops in Cedar Rapids alongside CIC 115 and its slug. The 201 was just delivered a few days before. The slug which will accompany 201 is in the enginehouse.
The thing with telling things about myself is that i create a story with a life of its own. And then i start wondering how i fit into that story.

A work of art and a work of science - DR (East Germasn Railways) Class "18.2" 4-6-2 No. 18 201; a magnificent mongrel. DR rebuilt it in 1961 using the 7'6.5" driving wheels, most of the frames and the bogie from the experimental DRG Class "61" streamlined 4-6-6T, the outside cylinders, trailing truck and rear frames of the even more experimental Class "H45" 2-10-2 turbine loco (the inside cylinder of 18 201 was new), the all welded boiler from a withdrawn DR rebuilt Class "22" (ex-Prussian "P10") 2-8-2 (but 18 201 was fitted with a giesl oblong ejector) and a 2'2'T34 tender from a DRG Class "44" 2-10-0, the entire ensemble being semi-streamlined. It was designed for 110 mph running and reached 113 mph in 1972. In 2011 it reached 100 mph - the fastest steam engine of the 21st Century! It is pictured on arrival at Darmstadt Kranichstein with a special from Leipzig for a steam fest, 06/11. In preservation 18.201, it is fitted with with two tenders to increase it's range.
This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 215 in 2011.
Seen here leaving 215 behind at Western Harbour terminus.
I was photographing around UD's campus when I came across this gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) stuffing its face with a newspaper. The paper was huge, but it was pretty determined to fit it all. Finally, it gave up and ran off into a window well where it had trouble fitting its prize between the iron rungs of grating. Eventually, she made it in and scurried to build a nest.
