In 2002 was inaugurated the New Aldeia da Luz, built from scratch two miles of the former, which was dismantled and largely submerged by the reservoir dam.
The ancient village of Luz, whose origin dates back to the Paleolithic and Neolithic period, was considered the most significant social impact of building the dam dam, now occupying an area of about 2040 hectares.
The New Village was built in the interest of maintaining the traits and property before, and also built a museum in order to perpetuate the memory of the old village and its people. A collection of ethnographic village, archaeological finds, the museum being provided with a temporary exhibition room.
The village is also equipped with a bullring, a Laundry public also has the role and viewpoint with a beautiful view of the Alqueva, counting also with the Parish Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and a source replica of the Santa present in the old village was said to bring forth miraculous waters.
Throughout the area there are numerous archaeological sites from different periods, many of them made known through the construction of the dam.

A Luz é uma freguesia portuguesa do concelho de Mourão, com 50,90 km² de área e 373 habitantes (2001). Densidade: 7,3 h/km². October 2002 - late afternoon at Terminus Place outside Victoria Station and the evening rush-hour is building nicely.
Another operator assisting TfLs replacement of London Easylink was Redroute Buses from Gravesend - despite the "London United" style livery this was a former London General bus.

Purchased in Quartier Asiatique in Bujumbura, Burundi in the early 1990's. In 2005 I donated my entire collection to the DC Public Schools so that they could allow the children to see and hold african art.
Toen in 2002 de eerste Class 66 locs in Nederland en Duitsland in dienst kwamen, na de twee locs bij HGK, bleken ze allemaal 'PB' in het nummer te hebben staan. Dat stond voor het Britse leasebedrijf Porterbrook. De locs kregen al snel de bijnaam 'Pietje Bel' maar het werd al snel veranderd in het volwassener klinkende 'Klaas'. Het is bij de PB01 t/m PB20 gebleven voor Porterbrook. Via andere eigenaren zijn de meeste locs tegenwoordig eigendom van Beacon Rail.
Op deze zonnige vrijdag moest de oranje 561-03 het stokje overgeven aan de PB06 te Antwerpen Noord. De avond er voor had de 'Hommel' een trein uitgehaald bij ADPO op de Waaslandhaven en naar Antwerpen Noord gereden. Loc stond nog bij de trein en moest op bundel N stuivertje wisselen met de PB06 welke de trein, twintig lege ketelwagens, naar Köln zou gaan rijden. Met zulks spetterende zon moest daar natuurlijk wel even gebruik van gemaakt worden om plaatjes te schieten!
Tot slot nog een zonnig plaatje van de oranje loc.
