I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.
I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.
By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

This is a tribute to Bio-hazard 2 / Resident Evil 2 (1998), the iconic survival horror game made by Capcom.
The portrait subject is Claire Redfield, the pony tailed biker heroine in her iconic "Made in Heaven" pink denim outfit, proudly looking onward.
The original sketch was done traditionally with a ball point pen and digitally colored in Photoshop.

A sunrise photo from the 'beach' on the Thames foreshore in front of the OXO tower. I don't think I've ever seen the tide as low as this and consequently there were quite a few 'mudlarkers' on the beach with us at 6am......
Participating in the annual Photo24 event gives me the opportunity to take such shots, as long as the weather plays ball......

ACTS occasionally rented diesel locomotives in Belgium due to a lack of traction equipment. They were familiar: the freight carrier owned five former Belgian locomotives. On August 18, 2002, NMBS 6304 helped pull a container train from Veendam to the Rotterdam ports, pictured at Hulten.
This is a highly detailed, original watercolor painting of the 2002 Minnesota Twins uniform. It was created as part of a collection of 15 pieces of original art celebrating the history of the uniforms of the MLB Minnesota Twins (originally the Washington Nationals). This original painting, and more than 1500 other MLB, NFL, NHL, NCAA football and CFL uniform paintings, is available for sale at our Heritage Sports Art website.

Im Juni 2002 begannen die Arbeiten des Konzerthauses. Drei Jahre später wurde es im Stadtteil Kirchberg am Place de l’Europe eröffnet. Architekt ist Christian de Portzamparc, die Ausgestaltung der Akustik im großen Konzertsaal besorgte Albert Yaying Xu.
Das weiße Hauptgebäude hat im Grundriss die Form eines Auges. Die Stahl-Glas-Fassade wird von 823 weißen Säulen von 20 Metern Höhe und 30 Zentimetern Durchmesser optisch dominiert. Das Konzerthaus hat insgesamt einen umbauten Raum von 192.883 Kubikmetern und eine Gesamtfläche von rund 20.000 Quadratmetern. An der Stahl-Glas-Konstruktion wurden 2.500 Tonnen Baustahl verbaut, die verglaste Oberfläche liegt bei 5.000 Quadratmetern. Die Baukosten betrugen 113,5 Millionen Euro.Der große Konzertsaal Salle de Concerts Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte hat normalerweise 1307 Sitzplätze, diese können auf maximal 1500 Plätze erhöht werden. Er ist 24 Meter lang, 48 Meter tief und 17 Meter hoch. Die Bühne bietet 120 Musikern Platz, sie kann auf 14 verschiedene Höhen eingestellt werden. An ihrer Stirnseite steht die Orgel. Das akustische Raumvolumen beträgt 19.300 Kubikmeter.
Im Untergeschoss der Philharmonie liegt ein kleinerer, 120 Plätze umfassender Saal, der sogenannte Espace Découverte. Er ist vorgesehen für elektroakustische Musik, Experimentalkunst im Bereich Elektronik, Film oder Video oder für interaktive Musik-Workshops.
Neben dem Hauptgebäude liegt der gleichfalls weiße, muschelförmige Kammermusiksaal Salle de Musique de Chambre; er hat 313 Plätze[1]. Seine Bühne ist 80 Quadratmeter groß, das Raumvolumen umfasst 8.153 Kubikmeter. Der Kammermusiksaal ist mit dem Hauptgebäude verbunden und von ihm aus zugänglich.
