Day 2 I didn’t take any pictures, the puppet Ihad with me made that impractical, but Day 3 was MUCH easier. Of note is also that this was my first time attending a shoot *behind* the camera. Also, please note that you’ll see some repeats. I’ve been going back and re-editing some of these photos as I get more and more familiar with Lightroom

1. We used some decorations in the background, cold chocolate milk instead of hot chocolate milk, shaving foam as whipped cream, and for the cookies we sprayed alcohol on them to make them more shiny.
2. I wanted to make an homage to a tradition from my childhood.
3. When I was shooting my final I took photos from all angles. I wanted to keep focus on the mug and cookies so I used a low f-stop. The elements in the background are all Christmas themed and the cookies are meant for Santa while the hot chocolate is usually paired with the cookies.

Here's my collage for Lesson 2. I don't have a charcoal pencil so I opted to leave the image whole. I did layer the background papers and gesso them, added a flourish, button and some clipped words from a very dreary old novel.
We had to cut this trip short as 1) We'd taken Bingley and he wasn't allowed in the National Park 2) I felt c**
Found at a church sale in Edwardsville, KS. Complete with oiginal Arch Pyre Globe and a Good+ high style vent - this was only $2. I gave them $5 as rarrely do we seen such nice examples in the field and they needed the money for their programs.
Inside was a gunked up disgusting green mess - but after 20 years of playing with these and a few very useful tools - cleaned up and running in less than two hours, only part replaced was the fuel cap gasket.

If there is one game you must buy, its No One Lives Forever: Game of the Year edition, and NOLF 2. I highly recommend purchasing this game before they are sold out. The story line is easy to follow, the cut scenes are fun to watch, and the sniping or blowing everything in sight is more than one can handle. Cate Archer is the epitome of all spies. She is just as good as James Bond himself, if not better. You get to control her every move. You get to watch her climb rooftops and scour back alleys to pick off any H.A.R.M. agents. Her weaponry ranges from handguns with silencers to shotguns, hairpins that unlock to hand grenades to toss. You can use 1st person or 3rd person. Just like ‘Hand Shadow-1 & 2’ I’d used a blue light and my GE X5 Bridge camera on my old TriPod to take the photo. With this photo I’d used a filter to get the blue glow. (the filer I used was called Glowing Edge, (I had it set so it was; Edge Width: 14, Edge Brightness: 20 Smoothness: 15) After that I then used to burn tool.

Day 2: I journaled about how I like to wear jeans and a t-shirt (just about everyday!). I used the brayer technique with the Tim Holtz acrylic paints. I added distress inking & stamping. Then pulled it all together with drawings, doodled banner & borders, and hand journaling (inspired by this video www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/projects/videos/1909923-... over at Two Peas In A Bucket).
1. To take the photo I used a Camera mounted on a tripod, and edited it in Adobe Lightroom Classic
2. I took the photo because from this angle, the building looks as if it stands up higher than everything surrounding it.
3. I positioned my camera to face this specific angle so the building could look taller.
So, as I'm getting ready to jet off elsewhere, I've spent some time actually opening some boxes before flying off again.
In addition to the Black Canary that I mangled, I brought back three additional Bishoujo statues - Black Widow (version 2 I believe), Wonder Woman (Standard Edition), and Power Girl, all of which came with a box, and was most of the reason I had to actually mail stuff home.
Without getting into specifics yet. the overall rating, as it were, for these range from good to average. You'll notice on all of them, as usual, there's some deviation from the source art. Sometimes is subtle, like with Widow and Power Girl, but with Wonder Woman it changes the feeling and energy of the statue completely. More than anything else, this is what makes or breaks the statue for me.
Finally, we have Power Girl, the most recent of the three, though it's still going back to 2013. Comparing Wonder Woman to Power Girl, you'll see how far Koboukiya came in two short years, and how going forward, this is the same company that produced the excellent Black Canary, Poison, and R. Mika statues. Deviation from source art is probably the least of the three, with the only real noticeable part being how the eyes stare in a completely different direction. The good news, however, is that the shape of the face and facial features is actually pretty much bang on.
What IS annoying is that despite getting the pose right, despite getting the general art direction right, Koboukiya managed to cock it up by having the statue posed at the wrong angle in relation to the Power Girl logo on the base. Typically, I would presume that should be angled flush with the viewer, which throws the viewing angle of the piece off.
Curvier than the other statues, which is expected considering the source materials and generally just bigger and more muscular, which are all Power Girl trademarks. Detailing on the hair, specifically the back of the head, is a bit of a let down. Fabric details on the cape are very nice.
Paint and Build are on point, though compared to the other two, Power Girl is much easier to manage.

Film from last Trip 2
I shot several rolls of both B/W and CN film. These are from Orwo NC500 color film. Under the cold, dull light it gives very „subtle“ negatives, I boosted them more than usual because of that. Basically I didn't really have a idea how to process, so just played and tried some things. More to come!
This was treehouse #2, I believe. We called it the honeymoon suite because it only had room for 2 to sleep there.

Revontuli-sjal strikket i Drops Kid-Silk - med glassperler i siste hullraden. Jeg ønsket et litt kortere og bredere sjal denne gang, så jeg endret oppskriften litt. Alle maskeøkningene ble byttet ut med kast, og feltet mellom hver hullrad ble kortet ned ved å kutte ut noen av de repeterende omgangene. Er godt fornøyd med resultatet, som ble et luftigere sjal med et åpnere mønster! =)
My sister did some research and found this temple. After seeing "Kungfu Hustle" I've always wanted to shake a jar of sticks to find my fortune. Sadly, I don't think my fortune was read correctly because
1. My questions were not general enough.
2. I got two sticks at the same time for two questions that I asked that were very similar and
3. I forgot to write the number down for one of the questions.
Everything just wasn't going my way...and on top of that the reason why I asked 2 questions during one shaking session was because none of the sticks would come out.
My sister said it was because I didn't believe in it. I think she's right. Being at the temple, I already felt a spiritual rebirth within myself.
Anyway, when I was shaking the sticks I was starting to think I wasn't going to get anything out. That's when 2 sticks came out. I was pretty excited that 2 came out the same time...I wish I knew that would be a problem. =)
The jar of sticks were free. The fortune reading wasn't. I think it was 210 HKD for each person and 300 HKD for a palm reading. I think that's the most I spent at one time...well, besides the clothes shopping. Which was AWESOME btw! Yes, we went shopping before the temple...it felt strange going there after spending so much money on material items.
My fortune came out "medium" for everything...life, love, family, and maybe health? I can't even remember.
I guess I'll never know, but it's okay. I happen to believe that I can control parts of my life to a degree. =)
Btw, there are 3 spirits/Gods. You take 9 incense and you leave 3 at each alter. I HAD to ask before doing it. I should have asked before I shook the sticks. =) At least I got one thing right. My sister did it twice and did it incorrect both times. Her fortune reading was correct though. Hehe. =)
