Photo Bomb Lesson #2. I think this is one way people make new friends in Lan Kwai Fong where everyone is just out to have a great time. I find this photo to be too cute!!!!! =) After this, i was inspired to photo bomb wedding photos in Boracay! hahaha =) After many failed attempts and an overwhelming attack of being shy, I finally ended up meeting and congratulating the bride and groom ;)

My wife and I took a trip yesterday and did a few photos. It was a ton of fun, actually - only we got eaten alive by bugs.
This is part of a series that I'll be posting over the next few days. I'm posting them all separately because A) I like them, 2) I don't have anything else to upload at the moment. Hope you enjoy them.

We booked a sunset tour with Bay Voyager on their rigid hull inflatable, and it was such a blast! Our captain was skilled and knowledgeable, pointing out many different landmarks, recounting local lore, and all the while handling the boat flawlessly through some pretty good sized, but exciting, chop.

Just a portrait of my girlfriend's plant, using the Samyang 135mm f/2. I liked how the salt lamp behind silhouetted it.
The Sunday club outing this morning was to Aberavon old dock.

Picture of yourself with fifteen facts:
Fact 1: I just watched paranormal activity and it was scary in a non-scary way.
Fact 2: I'm dating a boy named Samuel and he is pretty cool.
Fact 3: I think people shouldn't judge before taking a look at themselves.
Fact 4: I like music from pop to metal. It's all good, except for some..

Fact 10: I broke my camera so I am using my phone until I get my new camera, which will be soon.
Fact 11: If you're looking for someone to feel sorry for you, you've come to the wrong person.
Fact 12: I could be really "chill" as people have told me, and I can be really hyper.
Fact 13: I am probably wasting my time on this.
Fact 14: These people are cool: Stephanie, Sam, Samantha, Mia, Brianna, Janell, Francisco, Angel, Facundo (of course), Ashley, Jeremy. Well to me they are(:

The MetLife Building, formerly and way better known as Pan Am Building, towers over Park Avenue just north of Grand Central Terminal. One can see here the southeast corner of the building, which opened in 1963 as at the time largest commercial office building in the world. Designed by Emery Roth & Sons with the assistance of Walter Gropius and Pietro Belluschi, the Pan Am Building is an example of an International style skyscraper. As an iconic New York landmark, the building has been seen in a few films such as Coogan's Bluff, Armageddon, Catch Me If You Can, Godzilla, Knowing, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The building is seen in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV as a parody called the GetaLife Building, and in the game Crysis 2, in which it is hit by alien artillary fire and collapses onto Grand Central Terminal. The building once provided helicopter service to John F. Kennedy International Airport, a seven-minute flight that left from the rooftop helipad. This service was offered from 1965 1968, by New York Airways and for a few months in 1977. It ended after a major accident that killed five people. (More about all this on Wikipedia.)
THE X-FILES (Fight the Future) was a great five star film for loyal fans as well as non-viewers alike. I was as pleased with this first film as I was unhappy with the second. This first movie was fast paced and left the viewer no time to look back. To be honest, the story was over and neatly resolved before I knew it and there wasnt a second to be spared. The film flowed beautifully from the TV series to the big screen and from one scene to the next, and every special effects shot was breathtaking. I especially enjoyed the final scenes which presented Scullys rescue by Mulder and their narrow escape from a huge alien spacecraft. These grand scenes made the long running X-Files story larger than life, adding new dimension to the series. This X-Files movie delivered on every possible level and was extremely well thought out and executed, and was one of Chris Carters best productions ever!I saw this film in a very good big screen movie theater when it opened and it made for an excellent viewing experience. Chris Carter could not have done a better job of recruiting new viewers with this film which was a wonderful showcase for the look, color, flavor and wonderful mood of the X-Files. If only he could have done something nearly as good in the recent X-Files 2 (I want to believe). t's been some time that I have been able to add to my Urbex portraits. So I am really pleased to bring you a talented photographer and Great Explorer - Shexbeer. I have followed Shexbeer since I found Urbexing streams on flickr, and found his amazing photographic and processing skills so inspirational. I had the pleasure of meeting him with the C4 crew in Berlin with our hosts Andre Govia, ill-padrino and photoportee. What a fun guy to be with! He has such a real passion for Urbexing. Enough said, just see and appreciate his wonderful work.1. 3. My adventure with Urban Exploration started about 5 years ago. It was winter, end of December 2007. I have fond memories of my first Urbex trip into abandoned buildings used for school projects. (Photos from flickr set called "Rzeznicka 90"). It was a really impressive place for me, it will stay in my mind and heart forever. Some of the rooms and staircases from this building now do not exist.
2. I was many years a Nikonian but for almost 2 years I have become a Canon man. I actually use a Canon 5D Mark II and some cool lens’ :) I like my wide angle lens and sometimes I use my fisheye - but so much now as the early passion of the fisheye lens is gone. Since I began my journey with Canon gear I have fallen in love with my 135L, especially when I take portrait photos of my daughters.
4. My scariest Urbexing moment ... I don't know, I haven’t had it yet and still waiting for that day :D Actually nothing terrible has happened to me during an exploration as far as body injuries go. I have escaped from security many times: I have run around a shipyard area in Poland, run across bushes and mud in Wales (greetings to Max the dog) and I have done "forest running" in France; they are all brilliant memories! :)
I really expected some strange feelings during a visit in "Overlook Hotel" because my friends that were there before me told me some strange stories about photo equipment going missing, cameras not working correctly and batteries fully charged going down in a couple minutes. However, when I visited this place nothing strange happened to me and others I was with - apart from my cable from my remote control broke there. BUT this hotel really did have a strange atmosphere... so silent... if you have great imagination you can have great time there! :)
My funniest times in Urbexing are when everyone in my urbex trip are great and we always have fun for sure! Maybe my memory is fading? I have had lots of fun with Andre Govia, Lucas (Photoportee) and Matthias (ill-padrino). One time when we were walking in total darkness after some alcohol party in Mountain View Hospital (Germany); we all tried to make our crew shot in the glass reflection of a big round window. We tried focusing light from our torches on our faces, but nobody could keep still enough for a still shot. So finally we spent the rest of the time by the window drinking vodka and beer - it was funny time for sure! :) I had lots of great fun and memories from this years trip to Germany with C4 Crew ;)
Urbex is fun, not only when you make photos in great locations but when you spend your time with great people. That’s all!
And here is the everyday clutter in my bag. Because I'm still in school, I have school things. Yeah.
The Metéora (Greek: Μετέωρα, pronounced [mɛˈtɛoɾɐ], lit. "middle of the sky", "suspended in the air" or "in the heavens above" — etymologically related to meteorology) is one of the largest and most important complexes of Greek Orthodoxmonasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos.[1] The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece. The nearest town is Kalambaka. The Metéora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List under criteria[2]I, II, IV, V and VII
The Theopetra caves 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of Meteora had inhabitants fifty millennia ago.[4] The oldest known example of a man-made structure was found within a prehistoric cave in central Greece, according to the Greek culture ministry. The structure is a stone wall that blocked two-thirds of the entrance to the Theopetra cave near Kalambaka on the north edge of the Thessalian plain. It was constructed 23,000 years ago, probably as a barrier to cold winds. “An optical dating test, known as Optically Stimulated Luminescence, was applied on quartz grains nested within the stones. We dated four different samples from the sediment and soil materials, and all provided identical dates,” Nikolaos Zacharias, director of the laboratory of archaeometry at the University of Peloponnese, told Discovery News. According to a statement by the ministry of culture, “the dating matches the coldest period of the most recent ice age, indicating that the cavern’s inhabitants built the stone wall to protect themselves from the cold.” Excavated since 1987, the Theopetra cave is well known to palaeontologists as it was used and inhabited continuously from the Palaeolithic period onwards (50,000 to 5,000 years ago).[5]
In the 9th century, an ascetic group of hermit monks moved up to the ancient pinnacles.
They were the first people to inhabit Metéora. They lived in hollows and fissures in the rock towers, some of which reach 1800 ft (550m) above the plain. This great height, combined with the sheerness of the cliff walls, kept away all but the most determined visitors. Initially the hermits led a life of solitude, meeting only on Sundays and special days to worship and pray in a chapel built at the foot of a rock known as Dhoupiani. As early as the 11th century AD hermit monks were believed to be living among the caves and cutouts in the rocks.[1]
The exact date of the establishment of the monasteries is unknown. By the late 11th and early 12th centuries, a rudimentary monastic state had formed called the Skete of Stagoiand was centered around the still-standing church of Theotokos (mother of God).[1] By the end of the 12th century, an ascetic community had flocked to Metéora.
In 1344, Athanasios Koinovitis from Mount Athos brought a group of followers to Metéora. From 1356 to 1372, he founded the great Meteoron monastery on Broad Rock, which were perfect for the monks; they were safe from political upheaval and had complete control of the entry to the monastery. The only means of reaching it was by climbing a long ladder, which was drawn up whenever the monks felt threatened.
At the end of the 14th century, the Byzantine Empire's 800-year reign over northern Greecewas being increasingly threatened by Turkish raiders who wanted control over the fertile plain of Thessaly. The hermit monks, seeking a retreat from the expanding Turkish occupation, found the inaccessible rock pillars of Meteora to be an ideal refuge. More than 20 monasteries were built, beginning in the 14th century.[1] Six remain today.
In 1517, Nectarios and Theophanes built the monastery of Varlaám, which was reputed to house the finger of St John and the shoulder blade of St Andrew.
Access to the monasteries was originally (and deliberately) difficult, requiring either long ladders lashed together or large nets used to haul up both goods and people. This required quite a leap of faith – the ropes were replaced, so the story goes, only "when the Lord let them break".[6] In the words of UNESCO, "The net in which intrepid pilgrims were hoisted up vertically alongside the 373 metres (1,224 ft) cliff where the Varlaam monastery dominates the valley symbolizes the fragility of a traditional way of life that is threatened with extinction."[7]
In 1921, Queen Marie of Romania visited Meteora, becoming the first woman ever allowed to enter the Great Meteoron monastery.[8] In the 1920s there was an improvement in the arrangements. Steps were cut into the rock, making the complex accessible via a bridge from the nearby plateau. During World War II the site was bombed.[citation needed] Many art treasures were stolen.[citation needed]
Until the 17th century, the primary means of conveying goods and people from these eyries was by means of baskets and ropes.[9]
Six of the monasteries remain today.[7] Of these six, four were inhabited by men, and two by women. Each monastery has fewer than 10 inhabitants. The monasteries are now tourist attractions

NGC 7380 refers to both the open star cluster and the associated nebulosity that is referred to as the Wizard Nebula. The stars and the nebulosity are located in the northern hemisphere constellation Cepheus. Cepheus was a King of Ethiopia in Greek mythology.
NGC 7830 is located about 8,000 light years from Earth in the Perseus spiral arm of our Milky Way Galaxy. Given is distance, the Wizard Nebula can be considered to be located in our cosmic backyard. The nebula is approximately 20 light years in its longest dimension. NGC 7830 is considered to be no older the about 10 million years. The nebula is very difficult to see telescopically and must be viewed from very dark skies to see traces of its existence. Photographically, it takes long exposure times to gather a sufficient amount of light to visualize its full structures and colors of the nebula.
Two massive O-type stars at the center of the star cluster stimulate the hydrogen gas to glow thus showing the nebula’s structure in the Flickr photo. Hydrogen gas and interstellar dust in the nebulae are triggered by density variations to gravitationally collapse and form new stars. The structural features of the nebula indicate that the gas has be sculpted by the strong stellar winds of the adjacent massive blue stars in the open star cluster.
The Wizard Nebula obtains its sorcerous nickname from the pointed conical hat that is associated with the traditional image of a magician. The blue part of the Flickr photo is the sorcerer’s hat.
The Flickr photo was obtained by using hydrogen-alpha (ionized hydrogen HII), singly ionized sulfur SII, and doubly ionized oxygen OIII narrowband filters. The SII image data was assigned to the red channel, HII image data was assigned to the green channel, and OII image data was assigned to the blue channel. The 3 color channels provided the colorization to the captured gray-scale filtered image data in the processing software. The intensities of the data in the channels were manually manipulated to produce the final Hubble Palette false colored image shown in the Flickr image.
The SPA-2 astrograph located at the Telescope Live’s remotely controlled IC Astronomy Observatory in Oria, Almería, Spain was used to acquire the image data from the Wizard Nebula shown in my Flickr photo. SPA-2 consists of an Officina Stellare 0.7-meter (27.6”) diameter Ritchey–Chrétien reflecting telescope with a photographic speed of f/8 coupled to a Finger Lake Instruments FLI PL 16083 monochromatic CCD camera. AstroDon GEN II HII, SII, and OIII filters were inserted sequentially in front of the CCD camera to take the individual exposures. A total of five hours of exposure time was used to acquire all of the image data with the 3 filters. Telescope Live curated the image data from SPA-2. I downloaded the data and postprocessed it to produce the Flickr photo. I used the following software to postprocess the data: Astro Pixel Processor, PixIinsight, Topaz Denoise AI, and Topaz Sharpen AI.
On the 14th of February, 2014 VCAD students celebrated Valentine ’s Day in Vancouver, BC. We had a small exhibition of the hearts with what we love. Feel free to post your comments underneath because we want to know what you think.
Here is what one of the Graphic Design program students says about VCAD: “The instructors help to make my education better by giving suggestions to improve our assignments, show us ways to improve our work in VCAD, point out our mistakes, tell us proper way to complete projects for school or clients, and by giving us skills we can use for our future jobs. The new computers, programs, and other tools make our classrooms innovative. Overall, my experience has been good. We have clean work spaces, clean classrooms and teacher and staff who are nice and work with us.”

DC United versus Philadelphia Union
Final Score: 2-2
I recently took an opportunity to travel down to DC to catch a DC United game. Surprisingly it was a great night weather wise. This time of year in Maryland and DC area can be incredibly hot and humid. The day was fairly warm but low humidity, that ushered in a nice night down in DC. Unfortunately the stadium was not very full, a holiday weekend and probably cause soccer/football is not as popular as most sports in the US. None the less, there is great passion among many of the faithful fans who do watch. In this picture I am sitting among the flags, drums and chants of the Screaming Eagles fans. Everybody is celebrating on and off field to the beat of drums because DC United's Andy Najar had just fired off beautiful 35 foot strike on goal.
1) Daniella
2) I dentify ethically alot through my physical features but also through the way in which i was brought up and certain things which have become a part of everyday life being black.
3) I don't think that they my ethnic identity influences my character but it influences more how other people see my character, if my tone of voice becoms stern i will instantly be percieved as being aggressive or defensive and i think it comes down to the colour of my skin.
4) when I was on holiday and in a take away shop i went over to the massive fan that they had as I was really hot. It was a massive industrial fan so it blew my hair upwards. One of the men who worked there tried to tell me in the little english he knew that i shudn't go by the fan because of my hair and then proceeded to gesture at me by pulling his hair while pointing at me saying "authentic, authentic". When i realised that he was trying to ask if my hair was real, i said yes it is thankyou and walked off. (just for the record my hair was my own at the time, had have not been i wouldn't have felt any way about telling him that it wasn't)
5) I don't feel that white people face many oppressions in today's society. People tend to judge black with out really knowing anything about the person. White women will do well in business whereas a black women has to try 10X as hard to succeed. I feel that black women just have to prove them self more than white women. Also in terms of beauty products, sometime black women have to go to a certain shop just to buy a shampoo for their hair or makeup for the skin, whereas all shops sell products for white women. Although makeup for black women is now very easily accessible, hair products are not. Recently some tesocs have began to stock Dark n Lovely hair products for black people. Only certain tesoc's sell it, this must be dependant on the area but then what about the odd black person that lives in that area??... do they then have to travel miles just because they want a chemical that will allow them to have straighter hair?? and also why do we not get a choice of brand, white people can choose from in tesco brands such as: loreal, garnier, revlon, clairol etc... and black people have the choice of one brand and about 3 shelfs dedicated to their hair products. This introduction only started last yr 2007!!!!!! in the millenium all the major high street shops cannot stock black peoples hair products!?!?! it makes no sense!
6) i do feel comfortable as a women of colour
7)yes there is, they always say women have it hard the work place, but what about the black women in the work place??? how hard has she got it... does she get he pay rise on time, is she considered for that new role?
8)i thnk it could, but the term would never be used as peoples would always want to be politically correct. if we could see it from other peoples views it would help the way that things are dealt with and for eveyrone to be able to get an undertsnading of each other and nt just judge.

The Metéora (Greek: Μετέωρα, pronounced [mɛˈtɛoɾɐ], lit. "middle of the sky", "suspended in the air" or "in the heavens above" — etymologically related to meteorology) is one of the largest and most important complexes of Greek Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos.[1] The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece.
The monasteries are now tourist attractions.

Jolly LLB 2 movie official trailer has been unveiled by the movie unit. Watch now the latest trailer of Hindi movie of Akshay Kumar – Jolly LLB 2. I admire the way this guy is taking up more matured, sensible and meaningful roles given his age. Recent films have brought out the best of...
usually i do that on my bday. but i did it 2 days ahead because i was pissed off. we played la traviata. conductor sucked. violetta never dies. she lasts forever!!! so i HAD TO smoke and drink.
1 OF 2
I had to escort this little guy across the road. He was sunning in the middle, and 2 cars were coming from both directions.
2 Licca Club 67 reproduction Liccas in their default bathing suits. Necklaces by me.
More pictures in my journal.
The last of my shots with my EOS 5D mkII and amazing Canon 85mm f1.2... I sent the camera body back today, I will sell my lenses on eBay. I just don't like the noise the mkII produced, it's too digital and too easy to perceive in shadows. I didn't give it a chance really, but had only one day to return it in line with the shops terms and conditions. I was most concerned that it would show the vertical banding in low key studio shots - maybe it doesn't but I haven't the time to read any more forums or to set up more test shots.
I'm kinda sad to have to sell the lenses, the 85mm 1.2 is stunning and cost me an arm and a leg. The 70-200 2.8 is awesome. The Nikon versions aren't as good apparently. That said, I doubt I'll notice the difference in the shots I take. I just don't like digital noise when it looks as unnatural as the mkII produces... it's a matter of taste of course but there simply shouldn't be any noise at ISO100.. I should be able to pull 2 stops and there still shouldn't be any noise, let alone vertical banding.
*sigh*
Assuming they accept the returned camera, I have asked them to send me a Nikon D700 instead. I've also asked them to send me some new Nikon glass too... 70-200mm f2.8 VR, 24-70mm f2.8 and 85mm f1.4
I Still have my D300 and many DX lenses, all gonna be sold on eBay soon. At least I can keep hold of my Nikon strobes and battery grip.
