I was tagged a bit ago, by www.flickr.com/photos/icklemia/ , there's getting less and less of me every time I upload an SP.

There were supposed to be 10 facts and 10 tags but I've just cleared instead of pasting my facts so I'll do it tomorrow now. Have a great Easter everyone.

Sorry to anyone I've tagged, feel free to IGNORE THIS!

Ack! I can't think of 10 facts I haven't already imparted in previous tags.

ok, heres 1...I have an aversion to karaoke...I would never do it if you paid me A LOTTA LOTTA money! could be because I failed miserably in a talent show when I was younger, when the pianist failed me (left the music at home so I had to sing without), and I forgot the words mid song...I died...really did...the audience just sat there and stared...as they would...and I just stared back....traumatised for life I was.

2...I am not particularly tidy, but I am an obsessive washer of everything...I have to wash everything ...cutlery, pans, plates...at least twice before I'll use it again.

3...I've just recently gone back to contact lenses, paying my monthly fee, and I keep forgetting I've got them and find myself wearing my specs all day

4...The reason you only get close ups of me, apart from i'm not particularly keen on selfies, is that I always shoot handheld, I haven't got my head around how to do a self-portrait yet, so if anyones got any tips (I do have a remote before you ask) or pointers in the direction of tuts, I'd be very grateful.

5...Today we cleaned the barbie, and the sun went in...but I don't care, the burgers and beer are making their first appearance of the year in a minute, even if it rains!

6...I lied about the beer making its first appearance of the year

7...I still haven't got my passport sorted, but I will...totally irrelevant fact...but aren;t they all?

8...The one thing I hate more than anything else is putting people in a position where they feel obliged to do something, so although i'm going to tag ten people, don't feel obliged to act upon it, or feel free to interpret an sp as loosely as you like...blur it, whatever, I don't want to make you feel bad...

9...I am a terrible cook...no...not true...I could probably cook really well if it was something I wanted to do...but to be honest...I hate cooking. I wish I didn't though. I wish I could find as much fun in cooking as I do in loads of other things I class as hobbies...but I don't.

10...My mind has gone blank.................

Romanian postcard by Casa Filmului Acin. Photo: publicity still for Gente di rispetto/The Flower in His Mouth (Luigi Zampa, 1975).

Blue-eyed Italian actor Franco Nero (1941) was discovered by legendary director John Huston. His best known role is the coffin-dragging gunfighter in one of the best Spaghetti Westerns, Django (1966). Nero appeared in masterpieces of European directors like Luis Bunuel, Sergei Bondarchuk and Rainer Werner Fassbinder, but he also played the villainous opponent of Bruce Willis in the Hollywood blockbuster Die Hard 2 (1990).

It's been a while since I last posted anything, but I've been doing a lot of work on LDW series 2. I thought I ought to post something before I go on holiday next week for 7 days. I do have ideas for other animations, but I'm very motivated to do LEGO Doctor Who right now, so I'm pushing the other projects to the side for a few weeks.

This is just a tracking shot of somebody walking, but I'm incredibly happy with the outcome of it, even if it did take me 2 hours to get about 6 seconds of footage... I'll be sure to include this clip in the trailer in about a month so you can all see it.

Apologies for the image quality, this was taken on my phone.

Miniverse Botanicals set. A mix of series 1 and 2? I’m not sure. I also think there is another version of this.

I may need to acquire a stronger UV light. I completed these yesterday afternoon and the Monstera leaf came right out!! So they are all in the window in the sun!

Interesting goings-on in the garden...

My assignment for Week 2! I had a blast with this one!

Jaivonn actually came to life through bionicle, beginning his days as the humble self moc Midnight. (No, I'm not gonna do an evolution of his bionicle form, sorry guys...) I quickly came to love the character and added him to the very early drafts of my novel, thinking to write him in as a mentor for my (then) protagonist, Eragost. Anyways, as I continued writing and building, Jaivonn bumped his way up to my lead character. By this time, Jaivonn had gone through a few renditions in lego form.

From L to R

Midnight: This version was made sometime in 2008, and was merely a minifig version of my bionicle self moc. Because I couldn't find him a proper face, I decided to give him a helmet.

Midnight v. 2: This guy was an upgrade of version one, he still doesn't have a face, and he lost his blue arms (to better match my self-moc). By this time, 'Midnight' was much more drawn out in terms of character, and I was even considering making him a major character in my novel. (Made in 2009)

Jayvon: That's right, he has a proper name now! By this point, 'Jayvon' had shoehorned his way into my novel, and had a descriptive backstory. He STILL doesn't have a face, but he had gotten a new helmet and the blue 'tunic' back. This was my shortest-lived version of Jaivonn, and 'jayvon' was soon dismantled.

Jaivonn: Slight change in the name spellig. By the time I made this fig, Jaivonn had become the main character in my novel, which I had stopped writing so that I could further develop my mythology and history. He now has a face (finally) and is very different from my previous versions. At this point, I was just barely discovering Flickr, so he was around until december of 2012.

Jaivonn Su'ornad: A surname now? Sweet! Not a big change, but I still saw it as an improvement. I actually really like this fig, and would've kept him as Jaivonn's lego avatar, but it looks much too old. I'll probably bring this back when Jaivonn grows up. This version was created in december of 2012. As for my novel, I was still fixing some kinks in the mythology and history, so I hadn't written much about him since his previous version.

Jaivonn Ma'ruvan: MUCH different figure, I know. I wipped this guy up a few days ago, and it's a young version of Jaivonn in a Wallsman uniform. For a while now, I've been really intent on creating and publishing a novel, and this is something of what Jaivonn looks like at it's beginning (he's about sixteen). Soon, he'll grow up to be the stubbled badass represented through his previous version. I also had to change the surname due to some irregularities in his family background, and with my language.

*****

So yeah, there they are. I would give a longer description of Jaivonn's character, but that would spoil my book, and I'd rather not do that in case anyone decides to read it here: www.wattpad.com/user/Manicle (As of December 2014, there is only a prologue and one chapter up, I'll put more up in the near future). But, If you're too lazy to go read that, you can get to know Jaivonn a bit more in a MOC series I'll be releasing, which will be based off of scenes in the book. I hope you guys are looking forward to it :)

1. Nick and I are getting married March 18, 2010!

2. I am getting really into film photography. I think improving my film photographs will make me a better photographer. I won’t be able to rely on post editing.

3. I am giving out fake mustaches at our wedding :)

4. I think decorating a house is really hard. We have an office that is extremely bare and I have not found/thought of a great way to decorate it. It is fairly small. Of the four walls, one is bare and has the desk against it, another has a window that takes up most of the space, another has the closet that takes up the whole wall, and the other has the door on one side. Suggestions???

5. I hate not knowing what I want to do with my life. Sometimes I think I want to go into teaching, other times I think I want to do photography full-time, and the rest of the time I don’t know. I am definitely one of those people that likes to have things thought out most of the time.

6.I do not drink any alcohol. I think Nick is lucky because he will always have a designated driver. It is funny though...when I tell people I don’t drink, sometimes their perception of me changes. I have no moral reasons for not drinking, I just think the taste of alcohol is gross.

7. Ever since Nick decided to grow a mustache I have thought they were really cool. I would like a t-shirt that has something to do with a stache!!!

8. I only like to watch movies of the comedy genre. I think that irritates Nick sometimes. I cannot handle scary movies because I am a wimp. I saw the Candy Man in 6th grade and could not sleep for a week. Action movies are fine, but just not for me. And love stories that are not funny do not interest me. I prefer not to cry. I mean, when I watch a movie I am just tuning out from reality and the last thing I want to do is cry (call me crazy).

9. I really like music. Sometimes it can really get me pumped about something or just make me feel happy :) I do not know if anyone saw 500 Days of Summer, but you gotta check out this song

10. I think pizza is probably one of my favorite foods. If I was not getting married in a couple of months, I would be eating it every day! Nick and I found a really great pizza place here in Phoenix and no one ever seems to know of it. If you live in Phoenix or ever plan on coming here (Jessica, you will have to go there with me) then you gotta check out this place

From the photoblog on 09/23/2010.

Continuing my short series of Versailles this week, this is a photo I captured on July 13, 2009.

No doubt this flyover was practice for the following day: Bastille Day in France!

Since the planes came in really fast, I had to make an instant decision to point my camera to the sky and snap the picture. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) the lens on my Canon 5D was the 35mm f/1.4L set to f/1.4... Somehow, the photo still turned out all right (the focus appears to be on the contrails). I thought for a moment why the contrails weren't in the colors of the French flag, but soon realized that the gold was appropriate for the moment.

Do you know what kind of airplanes these are?

Update: in case you're wondering: “Well, this shot could have been taken anywhere,” take a look at this unprocessed photo that shows you the planes flying above the reflecting pool of Versailles...

12 Incandescent about: Irish public sector workers taking a pay and pension cut while bankers are still taking fat bonuses. Corporate capitalism that has run beyond the control of National governments

13, Makes me happy - The song of a lark over a spring meadow. My cats.

14.Makes me sad - that not everyone has been or will be as lucky as I've been.

15. Sometimes I feel like I've lost everything

16. I keep taking the medication :-)

7/29-8/2;; i was in the hospital recovering from my scoliosis surgery. today, i went for my first pre-op and they took off the steri-strips covering my scar. i think it's beautiful, my scar. i can't wait until it fully heals!

1. Both my parents have been dead for years, my brother died last year and my sisters are in poor health. Those things have changed my perspective on death. I like to make fun of death and to have reminders of it (skulls etc). To ignore it would be unhealthy I think. Also I don’t believe in any afterlife.

2. I’m incredibly jaded and sarcastic. Sometimes that makes it hard for me to relate to other people.

3.I haven’t worked for 3 years, but it doesn’t feel like it other than some of my skills have gotten rusty.

4. I never went to college after high school and it’s always bothered me. Finally I will be able to say I have a degree (AA). But that doesn’t feel like much of an accomplishment so I’m trying to figure out how to go for a BA while working full time. Yeah, right.

5. I procrastinate like crazy with schoolwork. I think it’s partly due to depression and partly due to not wanting to get in the situation again where I can’t figure out how to do something and it takes hours and hours just to find out it’s something dumb. (which I'm in again right now!).

6. I procrastinate on doing crafty things because I don’t deserve to do it if I haven’t finished my school/house work. Catch-22!

7. I taught myself how to spin wool into yarn last year and it’s my favorite thing of all time! I love the colors and the textures of the fibers and I love the people I’ve met.

I recently joined the local spinning and weaving guilds and I can’t explain how wonderful everyone is. It’s like I’m home. Getting to work for a fiber dyeing artist this year was an amazing experience I will never forget :D

8. I’m losing my enthusiasm for Blythe. The collecting aspect of it bothers me now. Also I'm bored by the new releases. I find custom Blythe much more interesting. I’m starting to prefer BJD more, but I don’t want to collect 100 of them either.

9. I haven’t lost my enthusiasm for my Blythe friends! Getting to see/meet everyone at Blythecon was awesome. But I don’t know/can’t keep up with all the new people.

10. I’m totally annoyed that I haven’t learned to sew for Blythe or BJD. I just haven’t put the time and effort into it. The times I've tried it have been frustrating.

11. My health has been really crappy this year. I was worried that I have diabetes, and I found out that I had anemia, but they don't know the cause. I have been so low energy that sometimes it hurts me to be awake.

12. I like to watch the news and know what is going on. At least read news on the Internet. But I do hate the sensational or exploitive reports. I love when there is bad weather here and they play it up on NW Cable news. It's kinda funny because really, our weather is less extreme than so many other parts of the country!

13. I can’t stand cruelty to animals to the point where I can’t look at it in order to learn about what is happening.

14. I hate to hurt someone’s feelings unnecessarily, I think most of us have a reason for the way we act that might not be easily observable to people on the outside. I know that might be considered making excuses for a person’s behavior, but I know the times I’ve acted badly there was a reason.

I'm trying to be better with telling people when they do something that annoys me though.

15. Like many of you I have an issue with depression. Sometimes it’s just mild and sometimes I just want to be done with everything. Because of it, I feel I’ve not taken full advantage of things I should have in life and get mad at myself, but you can’t go backwards so…

16. Also social anxiety. As another friend mentioned doing, I’ve learned to hide my anxiety behind a smile and to try to always be happy and positive when I’m around people, even if I can’t stand them or I’m unhappy or upset. I only show my true self to Jacki and Jonna. This results in my finally freaking out every once in a while! My experience is that people don't want to see the "real you" anyway. Oddly there are some weird things about me that I can't keep in, so people do find out that I am weird.

17. I don’t want to have kids, and I don’t really understand people who do. I don’t hate kids (although I don’t find them fascinating either!) they’re fine, I just don’t want to take care of one.

18. Even though I love vintage stuff and going to thrift stores, I am beginning to hate bringing stuff home. It becomes just the same as the dolls. You can’t enjoy stuff when you have it in such quantity.

I don't want to need a whole closet to store collections of stuff from thrift stores!

19. Even though I don’t believe in religion or an afterlife, I love stuff about ghost stories! I really believed in Ghost Hunters until I saw some of the footage where they faked stuff. Now everything seems to be all electronic gadgets though, and I find that boring. I do love “Celebrity Ghost Stories” even though I don’t believe them at all!

20. Kind of tying in to #19, I love the dark side of things, momento mori, things with a goth edge, spooky scary stuff, especially if it has a old creepy ornate feel. Pretty funny considering nothing in my house is like that!

Extra bonus points: I think about stuff too much :P

21. I forget to thank people for sending me things and am really bad about taking pics of the things they send me!!

I got tagged to answer these five questions:

1. My favorite song right now is the cover Toro Y Moi did of Master Of None, I've seriously been listening to it none stop for months.

2. I don't really have a good memory of all the text messages I've gotten, so I can't really remember the nicest one I've ever gotten.

3. My favorite place in the world... that's hard to say because I haven't been to many places yet, and I actually want to visit it first before I call it my favorite place in the world. It would be somewhere beautiful though, but I'm sure anyone would guess that.

4. My favorite food would be chocolate? Maybe? It always takes me a long time to come up with an answer to this particular question.

5. I had a favorite word but I can't remember what it was right now.

Haha wow I feel like I did a crappy job at answering these questions.

'Anyone making comments about the state of the Greek economy will be taken out the back of the Acropolis and speared! Just sayin'.'

Clearly the win-fig of Series 2. I want lots!

Take courage in 2009.!

I`ve been tagged too, by my flickr friend malla_mi and that means (in the time she tagged me) that I have invited to write 16 things about myself. So, if someone have excess time, here I am out my own words:

1.Happily married and with that fact is fairly to start any storyline about me.

2.I have 34 years and plan to have them proudly more!

3.Live in Zagreb 13 years, I love him, appreciate him and am get accustomed to it.

4.Originally from Labin, Istra. Istra is always, indelibly and forever in my heart.

5.Love Rijeka, in which I lived 2 years and have never ceased want to go back there.

6.After all schools, faculties, courses, seminars, finally realized that wisdom lies in pure simplicity.

7.One of the most valuable parts of my body are my hands. Because every kind of creation, repairs, modeling... I can do with them and I am very appreciate for that (it is in my family great hand, and i found that very likeable).

8.My hands probably would not know what to do that I do not have a great need for creation of which I express in different times in different ways - writing (in past time a lot), sewing, modeling, decorating, communications, and of course inevitably – photography!

9.Standalone since I was 18 – that influenced on me as a person in every possible way (now I see - for good).

10.Not once in my life I was held by friendship (missing some of them now).

11.Worked all and all - short term, physical, poorly paid, serious, intellectual, creative jobs. Various jobs have brought me various advantages and many people! Currently working in the library.

12.One of the jobs which I worked that filled me up is job with children – this is one of most honored, if not most honored job in the world and it given the results which are visible and palpable.

13.I love film in general, especially Spanish, sensibility in them fits me the most, in French photography, in Czech humor...

14.I can not imagine a day, or my personal development without music!

15.Love wine, especially since I stopped smoking, since then I revealing in it even more flavor and fullness.

16.There are no day passing by that I do not read part of some book (at least a section)...

Too much words for one person... I don´t know. You don´t have to read this, of course, but for those who come to this very end – thank you! Salute!

This is Jack: PloesiePoesie #054. He was custom made for L. who ordered a PloesiePoesie that would love going to New Zealand. Jack is 14” tall and has a kiwi-patch on his belly. He also wears a real gemstone around his neck! It’s a tiger eye and has special powers!

Each PloesiePoesie is 100% handmade and 100% unique. There are no 2 alike. And... just like real cats each PloesiePoesie has a unique name and a unique character. Every PloesiePoesie is tagged with it’s unique number and comes with a personal behavioral guide. In this guide you will find 10 tips, favorites and character features of your own PloesiePoesie. It’s very important that you check these guidelines carefully to see if you and this PloesiePoesie are a good match.

These are the 10 tips, favorites and character features of Jack:

1. Please don’t wash me. I’m a cat and I don’t like water.

2. I’m a really adventurous cat. I want to explore the world, but will start in the backyard of course. It can happen that I’m gone for a few days, but I will always come back to you.

3. I’m totally addicted to Hokey Pokey ice-cream! It’s vannila ice-cream with small, solid lumps of toffee in it! It’s delicious!

4. My ideal evening would be a small outdoor gathering with some mates, a guitar, a couple of beers and a bonfire.

5. I believe in the power of gemstones. The stone around my neck is a tiger’s eye. Many legends say that wearing a tiger's eye is beneficial for health and spiritual well being. Legends also say it is a psychic protector, great for business, and an aid to achieving clarity.

6. When I grow up, I really want to have a big Maori tattoo.

7. My favorite game is rugby! I’d love to play a one on one game with you, but I enjoy watching a game on television too.

8. I love to be outside and walk through the fields, letting my hair blow in the wind, smell the fresh air and maybe climb in some trees. I think it’s important to protect nature, so I would appreciate it if you donated something to WWF every year.

9. After a long day of exploring and running, I want to fall asleep with you in your bed. I love to hug and get hugged!

10. My favorite drink is, of course, beer. And the best brand, in my opinion, is Pale Ale.

For more information about the PloesiePoesie, or if you want to order one, please send me an e-mail!

5. spiders don't scare me.

6. my room is like a library.

7. i'm thinking about doing a free print exchange with anyone who's interested. just flickrmail me!

8. the number 8 has always been my favorite number.

9. my junior year is coming to an end and i cannot be more excited.

10. (sort of stealing this from lillian) i would really like a penpal.

Apologies to those of you who have no interested in St. Patrick’s Day but I am about to upload many photographs of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin. I will begin with photographs of Shorecrest High School and over the next few days I will upload photographs of other bands and pageant groups. I selected Shorecrest because they are a favourite of mine.

I had a few problems this year [1] The organisers had in the past provided two buses as platforms for the media and this year they also supplied buses but one was for international media and the other was for local media. The bus that I was assigned was badly located because multiple street signs obstructed the view to a unacceptable extent and the result was that I had to shoot at an unsuitable angle or crop my photographs to an unacceptable degree [many of the photographers were really annoyed however as I am a street photographer rather than a professional I was not especially annoyed and I can’t really complain] [2] I used a camera/lens combination that I had not used before and this also impacted on my photographs especially as some were out of focus. [3] I was suffering from a really bad cold [that’s life, is it not].

The good news is that the weather was excellent and the parade was interesting and I enjoyed. After the parade I had an excellent lunch at Hanoi Hanoi and the owner supplied me with a special treat to cheer me up … thanks!

Dubrovnik Museum has a display of iron treasure chest locks.

1 of 2.

I was fascinated by the complicated locking mechanisms on the chests.

They look like they secured the chest well and are works of art in themselves.

They were made during the period between the 16t and the 19th century.

Underneath the lid is a very intricate locking mechanism consisting of up to twelve bolts often covered by a decorative metal panel to hide the bolts.

The metal panels often feature various animal motifs and floral decorations making them the most aesthetic and artistic part of the iron chests.

With the techniques of forging, engraving, damascening, and

embossing, craftsmen were able to create the unique and luxurious forms out of a simple iron mass.

Iron chests are valuable examples of the blacksmith's and locksmith's craft of that era.

Modern locks and safes might be more secure, but they couldn’t possibly be as beautiful.

1. I am short. lol

2. I have glasses.

3. I don't have any BA protos.

4. I might be getting a raygun!

5. This picture was taken in my backyard.

6. I went to BBTB last year with samaroni.

7. I know 2 flickr members in real life.

8. They are samaroni and whiteNbrown.

9. I don't know what else to say...

10. I'm done! :D

My riding school is loaded with sheep. They're so cute. My teacher, Mauro, says it's funny when there's a bunch of them with their fuzzy butts turned to us :)

I'm finally off to the beach tomorrow, by the way.

AND!

I've been tagged by my wonderful friend Darin. So, here are the 10 things about me:

1. I know most people use self portraits for the tag game, but really, I hate taking self portraits. This picture of a sheep is just gonna have to do, lol.

2. I know I said this in the last tag game, too, but I reaaally feel the need to say it again. I ADORE horses; they're the most perfect animals in the world. I ride English style, and the staff at my riding school are like the sweetest people ever. Horse riding is like therapy to me - it's the only thing that brightens up most of my days.

3. I love the guitar. I have 3 at the moment, but my favorite is the Giannini. I want to play just like my dad one day, and then take classic guitar lessons.

4. Some of the sweetest people I know, I met on Flickr. You have all definetely been an inspiration to me; not only in matters of photography, but in matters of life, too.

5. I want a DSLR really, really bad. I'm pretty settled on a Nikon D40, but I probably won't get it anytime before Christmas.

6. My family and I have a beach house. We bought it when I was 7, so I have somewhat of a bond with that house. I've always liked going there (not really because of the beach - it's ugly, lol - but because of the house itself). Lately I've been breaking a lot of my psycological bonds. I'm ready to sell the house and buy a new one in a better beach.

7. I was born and have lived all my life in Brazil, but I hate everything about this country, lol. I always say I shoul've been born american.

8. I've spoken only English with my dad since I was born. We've gotten so used to it, that it's completely impossible to make us speak Portuguese to each other. Don't try to understand - we don't either, haha. Some people find it annoying, because they can't understand what we're saying.

9. Ever since I was little, I've always hated watching brazilian shows on TV or dubbed films and cartoons. It gets on my nerves!

10. I love music from the 80's, even though I wasn't even born by then. Also, my favorite movie is Back to the Future :)

Ahh, that was hard :)

So here are the 10 people I'm tagging:

1. Abrielle.

2. Chelsea.

3. Saskia.

4. Lynda.

5. Ashlyn.

6. Ron.

7. Abdulrahman.

8. Larose.

9. Steph.

10. Jutta.

In this option 2 I decided to do a more normal and less ghost like. I wanted to still keep the ghoust inspired dress but remove the white contact lenses and make it a little darker

I listened to the whole song and read all of the lyrics but the part I really got inspired by was this one:

The secret side of me, I never let you see

I keep it caged but I can't control it

So stay away from me, the beast is ugly

I feel the rage and I just can't hold it!

But in this case, the beast is just a more punk and dark side of Daniela!

Hope you like it and lets hope I dont hop right off to the bottom 3!

Not the best shot, but one of the few of a 33/2 I have.

7 Random (boring) Facts about me :

1. I have 6 pillows in my bed, sometimes they take all the space but I'm not complaining.

2. I made a promise to myself to learn at least one musical instrument a year. I did flute, guitar, (barely beginner level) piano and bass. And right now, I only remember how to play guitar. And I am not even confident I play good! LOL.

3. I love the beach but I don't know how to swim. And I go loco over beautiful papers and boxes.

4. My fantasy job is to be a member of CSI or one of the profilers in ala Criminal Minds. Teehee!

5. I was supposed to be named Charles as my parents were expecting a boy. But to their delight, a girl came out. And thus named Dianne, from Princess D.

6. I only have one sister and she's studying back home. So every summer break I kidnap her to spend a month with me here in Singapore.

7. I got lost in the City when I was barely 4 years old. I was with my grandma and somehow I lost my hold on her hand and wandered off on my own. I just followed the traffic of people, just consttantly looking up on the play of lights, craning my little neck towards the land of the giants. It didn't entered my mind how lost I was until it was already getting dark, and I was probably getting hungry. Then I began to cry, and I saw a young couple and they asked for my name and my address. Good thing my parents taught me well that I was able to say my full name and my complete address. They took me to our home and I was reunited with my worried parents. I swear, I will let my future kids memorize their address down to their blood type!

~~+**+~~

First 7 days down, I hope I can finish till 365! Good luck! I'll just drown myself with inspiration from you my flickr friends! A million thanks for the views, comments and faves. Gracias!

7.I discovered that negative experiences make us grow spiritually (wish it did not have to hurt that much).

8.There are only wonderful people in my life (that includes YOU!)

9.I absolutely love my family (we laugh a lot).

blogged!

Hi, there! I've been tagged on Facebook by various people and I've been tagged by Virginiaz and Mulia here on Flickr. The rules were a little different but basically write 25 random things (or 16 here on Flickr) about yourself. So...here are mine.

I tag Keith and Jim.

1. I believe in soul mates because I found mine. I love my husband so much that my heart hurts just thinking about it. Sometimes I have this thought that we will not be together forever and I cannot bear it. I know everyone says this about their spouse but he is the kindest, most soulful, funniest, most loving, most selfless and smartest man I will ever know.

2. I feel guilty every day because I feel like I'm not doing enough with my time. I procrastinate a lot when I should be working.

3. I talk to my parents and my sister multiple times a day and I worry if I haven't heard from them.

4. I think that my mother and my sister are the strongest women in the world. They inspire me every single day.

5. My dad is an encyclopedia. If my sister or I ever have a question and we ask the other, our first question is "did you ask daddy?" He knows everything.

6. I am a crier. I cry at commercials, I cry when my niece laughs at my silliness, I cry when I'm happy.

7. I love maps and globes. I like to study them and play that game where you close your eyes and put your finger on a random place.

8. I have some of the most fascinating, craziest, quirkiest and smartest people as friends. I feel sad that I don't get to see some of them as often as I'd like.

9. Sometimes I still cannot believe that I left my job as a corporate lawyer to be a professional photographer. I didn't know I had that strength or the guts in me until after I finally did it.

10. Manners, especially table manners, are very important to me. I think it's gross when people slurp their soup and I get annoyed when people don't cut their food properly. In fact, this entire list could be about people's bad manners. I just do not understand why people don't teach their children proper manners and why as adults they just don't know better.

11. I love my out of control, crazy curly hair. I spent years fighting it and then I finally got smart and learned to love it (or at least deal with it).

12. I speak three languages fluently.

13. I am obsessed with make-up, especially lip gloss and lip balm. I will buy anything and can spend an hour in the make-up aisle at the drugstore, never mind the make-up counters at Saks and Bloomingdale's. When I see a Sephora I have to fight the urge to go in bc I will lose two hours in there and not even know it. This usually means that I have to cross the street to avoid it.

14. I LOVE shoes (and bags). I'm not embarrassed (although I should be) that I own over 15 pairs of boots and 150 pairs of shoes and sandals. I never throw a pair away and even if I'm sick of them, I get them fixed and then give them to a church or charity bc someone will wear them.

15. I believe in ghosts.

16. My Italian great-grandmother died 11 years ago and I miss her as though it was yesterday. I always think of her when I chop tomatoes or when I see an aloe plant.

17. My grandmother and aunt in Argentina make their own moisturizer. It's a family tradition and secret recipe and I have a huge tupperware full of it in my fridge (that's another random thing - I keep my moisturizer in my refrigerator bc I like the way it feels when I put it on my face). I labeled it: "PLEASE DO NOT EAT ME. I AM NOT DESSERT." bc I'm afraid D will think it's vanilla pudding or something.

18. I love my huge, crazy, loud and opinionated family. I love that we all talk at the same time in Spanish and English and that it takes 30 minutes to tell a 2 minute story bc we constantly interrupt each other.

19. I love all of my grandparents and feel blessed that I've had them in my life. My Cuban grandmother is the funniest and sassiest woman in the world. She makes me laugh out loud and sometimes she even makes me blush. My Cuban grandfather is the most patient and wisest man in the world. I wish I could crawl in his head and learn all of his secrets.

20. I miss my family in Argentina every single day and wish that we were closer to each other. I think about my grandfather every day and it breaks my heart to think that he never met my husband. I feel sad and start to cry when I think that my grandmother doesn't have him by her side anymore. She is the kindest, most sincere, genuine and classiest lady.

21. I think that two of the most important things that we can all teach our kids are tolerance and to have an open mind.

22. I never spent time in the Hamptons until we bought a house there. I love our home and I love that from the moment we walked inside I saw our entire life there. Aside from my grandparents backyard in Argentina, our home in East Hampton is the one place that brings me peace. I like inviting my parents to my house bc I really feel like they relax there.

23. I love New York and I feel lucky to live here. I love the kinetic energy and the anonymity. I love how tough and resilient it is. New York moves me and inspires me. I love how some days I feel like it's swallowing me up and others I feel like it's giving me a bear hug. I love the diversity and how chaotic yet oddly calming it is. I love how utterly fascinating and ridiculous it is.

24. Nothing inspires me more than travel. It is my number one indulgence and aside from photography, it is my passion. It is great that I'm with someone who loves it as much as I do.

25. My (top three) favorite cities in the world (so far) are New York, Buenos Aires and Paris - each place has played a significant role in making me the person I am today.

26. I find it really difficult to follow rules. ;-)

I was talking to some folk about tags so I thought I'd post another one. Anywho.

1. I posted a Tag just last month, but I figured I'd do it again.

2. I recently got scars on both knees, my shoulder and my hip from basically tripping during a relay race.

3. No, I'm not always a monk.

4. No, I'm not always a regular kid.

5. I only tagged a handful of peeple. Go ahead and tag (or untag) yourself, if you like. :P

7. I just skipped six.

6. This is messing with the OCD people.

8. I mowed the grass for the first time this year today.

9. I also had hiccups for the first time this year today.

10. Blurry picture is blurry.

11. This is the last fact.

This is version 2. I decide to re-visit this shot and use some of my new know-how about ACR to re-work this image. I'm fairly sure this is better than the first one. Sharper, the colors are more accurate etc.

OK, apparently I still need to work on my JPEG export skills... seriously bogus gradients on the outer parts of the image...
