As the Soviets surround the capital of the Großdeutsches Reich, Berlin, the German defenders, Wehrmacht, SS, and civilians alike are making the final preparations for what will become one of the deadliest battles in the history of warfare. Not even the walking wounded are spared from the carnage.

“The war is nearly over. Everyone feels it, I know, but nobody voices it. Being a tank commander in a city is absolute hell, I must say. Everywhere you go there is risk of a sniper perched in an apartment building, ready to blow your brains out. The SS soldiers show nothing but ferocity. Fools, I say. Death is not something they fear, but they fear the possibility of failure. Damn fanatics. They've been rounding up anyone who makes a defeatist comment.”

This is an attempt to illustrate Philippians 4:19, which says:

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (World English Bible, public domain)

Paul wrote this to the believers at Philippi. I recently read that Philippi was an important city in Paul's day, but that it no longer exists.

Thanks for looking!

I got just few minutes to shoot. My life is running so fast that I have to think today for the shoots I will take the next days. But I am pretty satisfied.

Decided to take my Z-95 headhunter set and transform it into a V-19 Torrent. My goal was to try and use majority of the pieces from the original set, but unfortunately had to grab some extra pieces to make it all work. Enjoy.

I think this was in one of the nicer residential areas of Norwich. I recall that at the time it was a bit borderline to bother with a photo of, but realised that early ones were becoming rare and this one looked particularly good.

As occama notes blow, it would seem to have been scrapped in the meantime. Scrappage victim maybe?

Not quite sure why there was a pair of British telephone boxes in the middle of this town.

I think the local youths hanging out in the square were puzzled as to why I was taking a photo of a Renault 19......

Designed as a cheap attack helicopter to be exported to poorer nations, the H-19 was built in great numbers and is used by many airforces all around the world.

Second entry for the 2013 Lego Military Contest,

from last night. i'm ecstatic and i've got the best friends and the best boyfriend ever! 19 is so big, innit?

Plenty of R19s still about, even a few phase 1 cars like this. Their scarcity in the UK probably prompted my capture of these, hence the R19 is quite well represented in this batch of photos!

Still earning its' keep some 27 years after purchase, this was one of twenty-three Leyland Olympians with Eastern Coach Works bought by Trent under the National Bus Company, but subsequently shuffled across to Blue Apple (predecessor to Notts & Derby) in 2002, where it has spent the last ten years.

366 Project Day 19

My husband has decided to teach my oldest to read. He, however, would rather make up stories than read what's on the paper. Which frustrates my teacher-trained husband to no end. This image makes me smile because you can just see the crazy story possibilities blooming in my son's eyes.
