Book 1, Page 1, Paragraph 1
I have said many times how I wish I could read Harry Potter again *for the first time*. What a truly magical adventure. It was my great joy to have read the books before my girls. The day I handed over The Sorcerer's Stone to our oldest in January 2006 was a momentous occasion which I noted by writing down the date on the inside cover. She zipped through it, barely moving from the chair as she soaked in each word on that chilly winter weekend. A new Harry Potter fan was born that day and I loved watching it happen before my eyes! (Our daughter told me once that she was disappointed on her 11th birthday NOT to have received a Hogwart's letter of acceptance). As I told my niece recently, "After you read Harry Potter, your life will never be the same". She wholeheartedly agrees with her aunt. :)
