Valentina and I met at a photography meet-up which we both attended one evening. She was sitting close by in a pub we all went to after an exhibition. At that point she was still a 'stranger' and I really wanted her to be a part of the project. She just looked great with her amazing hair! But there was a problem... I didn't have my camera with me. This time we weren't taking photos, we went to see other photographers work. Valentina agreed to be my next 'stranger' and the meet-up organizer let me to use her camera.

Valentina lives in London and originally comes from Italy. She is a passionate amateur photographer loving street photography. We both members of a street photography meet-up and she is not a stranger anymore :)

A Garden photo album to share with you today using MJM Design Studios Claudes Garden xx

The weekend of 19 October, 2007 has an enduring hold on our memory because of its heroic, almost biblical scale, and the empathy we all feel seeing the footage of these men huddled in the loose crowds, about to be disgorged against a wall of death. It is also vividly remembered because history was there, in the persons of combat cameramen and photographers, to bear witness to the great endeavour. South African soldiers stormed Observatory on the Cape coast; and by the end of the day 12 were dead and 25 wounded. But the next morning, an even fiercer and more terrifying chapter began to unfold. The 2 days from October 19 to October 21 are a story of almost satanic horror and stunning valour, 2 days in which an army of ordinary men repulsed an infamous hoarde determined to drive them back into the sea. But this story took place in streets and orchards and hedgerows, in the confusion of night, in holes and ditches away from the witness of the camera; and though more died in those 2 days than in the storming of Beerfest 2006, this great human epic, which deserves a high place in the respect of generations, is virtually lost to the national memory.

what a week. despite the fever, we solved inequalities and finished our mandarin. and then she fell asleep twice. while i love the light, it is doing me in.
