Au Player's 200 qui se court le 1 juin 1963 à Mosport (CDN), une autre nouvelle Monte-Carlo y est alignée par le team du texan John Mecom : #965 qui a fait sa première course une semaine avant à Pensacola, est conduite par Augie Pabst. Elle est équipée d'un FPF 2.0 litres terminant 18ème à Mosport.

En octobre 1963 se déroulent les traditionnelles courses en Californie : le LA Times GP couru le 13 sur le circuit de Riverside et le Pacific GP disputé une semaine plus tard à Laguna Seca. Jimmy Clark, champion du monde des conducteurs depuis même avant le GP F1 des USA à Watkins Glen le weekend avant le LA Times GP, se fait engager par le team Arciero pour disputer la course au volant de la #951. Hélas, des problèmes de pression d'huile connus aux essais l'empêchent de prendre le départ. Lloyd Ruby sur la Harrison Special abandonne de même que Jerry Grant, accidenté, ainsi que Augie Pabst dans la voiture bleue du team Mecom (#965). Ces mêmes voitures sont présentes la semaine d'après à Laguna Seca, de même que la #955 de Jack Nethercutt. Alors que Jimmy Clark sortit de route lors du dépassement d'un concurrent lent, c'est Ruby qui termina avec le meilleur résultat pour les Lotus Monte-Carlo à une maigre 15ème place.

#965 du team Mecom se voit échanger le Coventry Climax 2.0 litres contre un V8 Buick 215 ci pour le Player's 200 à Mosport disputé le 6 juin 1964 aux mains de John Cannon. A partir du 26 juin 1964 à Elkhart Lake, c'est Walt Hansgen qui en devient le pilote attitré, gagnant deux courses à Galveston au Texas le weekend du 3 juillet 1964. Le 3 août 1964, elle apparaît au Guards Trophy à Brands Hatch, avec Walt Hansgen au volant, mais doit abandonner des suites d'un tête-à-queue avec sortie de route.

The big brother needed some quality mom time this morning. We decorated each other in hearts. He still has one on his cheek some 12 hours later. These two blue hearts stayed on the outside of my hand much of the day and reminded me of this quote.

#19 Baldwin 2-8-2 is nicknamed "Pancho" due to its time spent in Mexico in the 1920s and possible squabble with the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa. #19 has appeared in many movies, the most famous being "Emperor of the North" and "Stand by Me"

The YWRR is sadly no longer in business as of 2013 but the excursions were ended in 2009 due to the economy
