Driven by an elderly gent and not one I've seen before.
Apart from a few minor dents and scratches it looked in good rust free condition.
This house dates back to the late 1970's or early 1980's. It was, for a time, the home of its designer: Barton Myers. The house is located in the Yorkville area of Toronto. When designers speak about a degree of timelessness to design I would use this as an example. It has a number of stylistic cues that still have currency with designers.
Recycling has become a big thing as the City tries to divert waste from landfills. You can see that this process has created a new type of street furniture.

What is even odder is I was listening to the Rolling Stones 'Shattered' on my headphones. From the album 'Some Girls'. Which for me is a throwback to my misspent youth, actually almost my childhood.
But the lyrics...tho.
Shattered, shattered
Love and hope and sex and dreams are still surviving on the streets
And look at me, I'm in tatters
I'm shattered
Shattered
Friends are so alarming, my lover's never charming
Life's just a cocktail party on the street, Big Apple
People dressed in plastic bags (Shadoobie, shattered)
Directing traffic, some kind of fashion

So this is a day late, lame, and candid. Because I had no time whatsoever and now I’m complaining. How lovely.
Don’t look at it too long. It works for a second or two but after that you start to wonder the real reasons I’m in the hospital so much ha
This friend of mine has no filter whatsoever. She says nasty things that she assumes are okay because she really doesn’t understand right from wrong. You know, she would constantly say hurtful words and I would constantly use her being naïve as an excuse. I would try and justify the hurt she caused me and then I realized this: in the end what she says won’t matter.
Of course this is corny and lame but one thing I’ve always told all my christian friends is that what that girl says about the clothes you wear or what that guy says about your social scene won’t matter. They can judge you all they want but standing in front of the gates of heaven their judgement won’t even cross your mind. It will not matter. It has no worth or strength because the only judgement that counts is God’s.
We get so caught up in what people think of us and what they say that we close ourselves off or give ourselves these small areas to live in. Boundaries like that won’t keep you protected or safe, they will keep you dry. Cold. Dark. You need to be able to break out of those new comfort zones to really live. Whether you’re a believer or not. God is bigger than anything you do. He is the judge but I don’t think we realize how merciful and forgiving he is?
Think of it this way, imagine having your dad or mom or any close family member a judge for you in court. Do you really think they would condemn you without hesitance? That they wouldn’t try to find a way to help you? Is God not like that? He’s a Father. He wants to protect you, he wants to see you happy.
That’s why he gives you the chance to redeem yourself. Ask yourself this, those friends that judge you for stupid things like the way you wear your make up or the way you speak, can they redeem you or forgive you for your sins? For your wrongs? Of course not. Their heart is so filled with so many wrongs so you have to consider, where do they get off being able to judge you?
But also with that you need to understand, where do you get off judging others?
You know, I’d rather be happy and myself then making others happy by being someone I’m not, as cliché and Oprah-y as that sounds.
"You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, My decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with The Father, who sent Me." John 8:15-16
Imagine if God judged you like humans do, Imagine God being like “Oh. Your shoes clash with Heaven’s gates. We can’t let you in. Sorry.” Obviously, that’s ridiculous and unfair. Compared to the love, mercy and wrath of God that silly statement is the equivalent to your friends judgement of you.
I mean, it’s your choice. Either you let it affect you or not.
But personally, I’m going to stick by what I’ve told so many people before, what people say about you now means nothing because they won’t be the ones who decide where you spend your eternity.

I saw her coming from a distance and I knew instantly she'd make a great subject. She was with a male friend and I asked them both if I could take their photo and explained why and a little about the project. Her reaction was not positive initially but her friend was up for it and he went first. I think that made her feel a little more comfortable about it and decided she'd give it a go.
She was great...she knew what to do straight away...and made this cool photo. Thanks Stranger #19.
