Scanned with Epson V850/Silverfast AiStudio8 (16bit, 1200ppi, film delicately taped to diy silicone mat), cropped in from right and toned gently in Photoshop.
N-2 development was my thinking for non-alternative process printing. For alt-pro (e.g. Pt/Pd) N-1 may have sufficed. Also, 8'30" was probably too long even for N-1 since the neg was about 2 stops too bright; the file had to be darkened in photoshop a fair bit. Dialling in the expansion/contraction times will be a work of practice and experimentation. N-1 would have been possibly more appropriate, and a dev time of something in the region of 8 minutes or slightly less perhaps better. But still a great result as a scanned image worked on in PS.

Scanning some difficult (bad exposure) slides at the moment, so this is an old one. The Tango and its 16bit software deliver amazingly good files to work with. This one was considerably underexposed (exposed for highlights) but the Tango drew out every bit of information.

The story of this photo:
This is another photo from the Basilika St. Martin in Weingarten, Germany. On this beautiful sunny day, I had a lot of luck. The sun illuminated the church and there were virtually no tourists there. I was excited about the photos. But when I came back home, it became obvious that the dynamic range was too much for the hand-held AEB series I took. I had to learn a lot and do some extensive experiments to find out how to deal with this. But still, the post-processing of this image was cumbersome. While the original 0EV images were stitched perfectly by Photoshop, the tone-mapped images refused to stitch properly. Artifacts occurred were the images would not fit together perfectly. Usually, if you run several stitching attempts, you may be lucky and PS finds the right way to stich the images as some elements of this process are randomized. Not with this image. Yet another opportunity to learn something new since I had to fix these by hand cutting out pieces of the image and applying the right deformation by hand. Afterwards, I cleaned up using the clone stamp and the healing brush. Finally, the remaining post-processing was difficult too. The steps listed below are really only a rough estimate of the real process.

How it was stitched and tonemapped:
> Converted the RAWs to TIFFs using Adobe Camera RAW with the Five TIFFs method
> Tone-mapped the resulting 5x5 TIFFs using Photomatix Pro 4.0 (Detail Enhancer)
> Saved the images as 16bit TIFFs
> Stitched the 5 TIFFs using Photoshop

How it was post-processed:
> Post-processing was done in Photoshop
> Topaz Adjust on the entire image to get back the colors and the details [details]
> Topaz Denoise (more aggressively on some parts) [details]
> Topaz Infocus on the entire image for sharpening
> Saturation layer on the white walls (desaturation)
> Levels layer on the white walls (more contrast)
> Separate levels layer on the dome (brightness and contrast)
> Saturation layer on the paintings (master)
> Separate treatment of the culprit, the organ, the floor and the wooden parts using levels and saturation layers
> Saturation layers on selected parts of the ceiling (colorizing)

This is a narrowband image of the nebula in Orion made through a 3nm SII filter (672nm) from my backyard in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. I found it interesting how wide spread the sulphur is beyond the immediate neighborhood of the nebula and how intricate the patterns are.
Takahashi FSQ 106 EDX4 telescope, ZWO ASI6200MM cooled, 16bit, monochrome, 62 megapixel camera, Chroma 3nm SII filter. Skywatcher NEQ6 mount, autoguided. Equipment control and image acquisition Kstars/Ekos on Raspberry Pi at the telescope, run as a remote server over power line ethernet adapter from a linux desktop located in a warm place (my home office).
4 exposures: one at 20 minutes and three at 10 minutes each. Processed in PixInsight.

A Stereographic Projection of a 25 image 360deg pano. This includes 3 rows of 8 images each plus a nadir. All images are enfusions of 5 shot 1EV step brackets (2 of the shots with the child were psuedo brackets done with exposure compensation on a single raw).
Stitching details:
All input images white balance corrected in CaptureNX2 and saved as 16bit tiffs. Each of the bracket sets were processed with enfuse and the resultant 25 tiff files processed with Hugin. The base equirectangular projection was 79.8M Pixels using 3,328 control points with a mean alignment error of 15.1 pixels and a max error of 81.1. This was converted to a 46.7M Pixel Stereographic projection tiff which was flattened using GIMP (which also converted to 8bit). CaptureNX2 was used for final processing including making this 4000x4000 pixel jpeg.
