An early recipient of an allover advert in the SELNEC fleet was this former North Western Daimler Fleetline / Alexander, fleetnumber 13. Using a bus as a mobile billboard was a totally new concept at this time and this was only the fourth SELNEC bus to be so treated, which was advertising the greyhound racing track at Belle Vue. The application of the livery does absolutely bugger all for the fine lines of the low height Alexander bodywork and uses colours similar to that of a large national cowboy outfit that came into being some twenty-odd years later.

day 13. I was kind of running low on ideas, so I went to the weekly theme red. In searching for red items I saw olives in my fridge. They were jalapeno stuffed though... So in PP I changed the Jalapeno a red color to try to make it look like a pimento instead! :)

Samovar Tea House, Ely, Cambridgeshire UK

I spent a couple of hours at Samovar with Emma-Jane for the 39th Worldwide Sketchcrawl. My first visit here, such a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere...I will be back! The latte was good too!

I hadn't seen E-J in 4 years!!!...How did that happen??? We have vowed never to let it happen again.

I wanted to try my Seawhite concertina with ink and Tombow marker to see if it bled through before taking them to Rome in May, I am happy to report that the sketchbook stood up to the marker very well.

I decided to take the streetcar down to Toronto's St. Lawrence Market since today was market day.

I was drawn to Steven because of his hair, hat, and expressive face. He was surprised when I approached him for my Stranger project but readily agreed to pose. Only then did I realize his kiosk outside the Market door was selling framed photographs! His business partner Roberto (who will be Stranger #14) is the photographer and Steven does marketing. Their business is at www.RiverosPhotography.com.

While photographing Steven, I got several tips from Roberto who then agreed to pose although he said he is more comfortable behind the camera.

I learned that these two have been friends since the 1980s and have previous business ventures under their belts.

It was an enjoyable chat and they were sincerely happy to help me with my project. Thank you Steven for being my Stranger #13.

La ligne 13 du métro de Paris est l'une des seize lignes du réseau métropolitain de Paris. Elle est issue de la fusion entre la ligne B du réseau Nord-Sud et l'ancienne ligne 14 de la CMP.

Sa création était destinée à remplacer une ligne nord-sud du RER, prévue au schéma directeur d'aménagement et d'urbanisme de la région parisienne de 1965 et jamais réalisée.

Elle relie à travers l'ouest de Paris des communes de banlieue : Saint-Denis, Asnières et Gennevilliers au nord, à Châtillon et Montrouge au sud.
