Je pense que seules les coïncidences font, que l'on peut se retrouver influencer dans certaines circonstances...
Alors parmi les superstitieux, "on croise les doigts" !!!
Cette borne domaniale des eaux et forêts a été prise en Bourgogne lors d'un viron dans les bois chez un ami.
Ces bornes marquent les layons des propriétaires dans les bois.

Day 13: "Tramp"
Damian had a big part in the making of this photo. As i was setting up to take the shot he said "what are you doing? taking a picture of your crack?" Yes, the first few shots did show crack. So i pulled my pants up.
Then after i edited it he said "tramp?" and i explained that "Tramp Stamp" is a nickname for lower back tattoos on women. And he said "oh, i didn't know that, i'm not a tattoo freak like you". Ha, oh i love my boyfriend <3
Anyway, that was Damian's description of my photo, here's mine...
Yes, I have a tramp stamp. And yes, i know it looks a little fake in this picture, but i assure you, it's real. It is a quote by Marilyn Monroe, complete with her signature. I thought about posing for this shot nude(ala inspiration from a topic in the 366 self portraits group), but i didn't want to scare anyone with my bottom.
This is also my second most recent tattoo, which i got in August.
Went for a walk late this afternoon. There was no good light, it was very cloudy. I noticed that tree, all alone in the snow, that made for a good subject.
This tour guide was discussing all the interesting features of the Manitoba Legislature. The number 13 places a big part. It sounded like a very interesting tour. The architecture of this building is amazing.

While the guards stationed at Checkpoint 13 were busy handling Captain Ahnee and his truckload of looted gold, they failed to notice that their zombie-on-a-chain had jumped the barrier and spread the infection. How sad!

13 / 100 : The Queen
I have no idea why but yesterday was one of those days MEANT to be spent shooting portraits of strangers.
Maybe it was because of me being in such a good mood, maybe it was because of the music i was listening (Songs to Sail By - Meghan Arias), maybe it was because of the great whether, not too hot but sunny, or maybe it was simply plain luck.
Nevertheless, the outcome was amazing : a 5 hours long walk lead me to come home with 22 different portrait of strangers in my memory card.
I usually go by 5 or 6 at the end of the day, and once only i was in a "berserk mode" that had me take home 15 portrait, but 22?! That's something new!
Not all of them were great, of course, not all of them were exactly what i wanted but still, that's a hell of an amount.
And what really surprised me yesterday was the answers i had given when asking "Can I take your picture?"
A street performed agreed but also said that he's against posing in any way so he wanted to close his eyes and open them just when i was ready to shoot. A lovely elderly guy with a great beard answers me "Yes, i'd love that! Thank you for choosing me for this project of yours!"
A young girl gave me one of the most confident looks ever while saying "I'm so not photogenic, this is gonna turn out bad"
It was wonderful.
But this portrait, well… It has a deeper story behind it.
So there i was, taking photos of the very collaborative elderly guy, when she passed next to me. She turned in my direction to look at a shop's window just for a second. The best part is : i saw her trough the viewfinder.
It was just a matter of a moment, but i knew she would have made a keeper, i was sure of it.
Her grace, her beauty, those eyes wrapped in perfect make up, the hat. All of that hit me, hit me real hard.
By the time i finished with the old guy, she was long gone.
I started running in the direction she went, kind of knowing that the chances of finding her again in one of Rome's most touristic alleys, crowded in people, were really low.
4 or 5 minutes later, in this huge flood of tourists, i saw her hat standing out of the crowd. I had found her again.
I approached, took photos of both herself and her husband, gave them my card and left.
Happier than anyone could ever be :)
Last but not least, i had the hardest time ever choosing which photo to post for my 100 Strangers Project. I made it a personal rule to always choose JUST ONE portrait for every "shooting day" and there are 3 more from yesterday that i really like. I'm gonna post them on my Facebook page so PLEASE, go here and check them out too. It would mean a lot to me!

It's cold again! So I'm wearing a self-made knit dress. Everything went wrong in making this dress and it did not come out as planned, but it's so comfortable I'm wearing it a lot anyway!
the slow morning was serene. we went in the woods and found our tree. the branches are so thin I think all ornaments might need to be paper. we have no idea when we'll be able to decorate. park day and cross fit and hip hop and nature studies and hanging out with friends and Christmas concerts and party preparations. the slow morning was serene.
