Beyer Peacock No13 "Kissack" gets smartly away from Castletown with the 13.50 Douglas - Port Erin.
Easter Monday 28 March 2016.
I've been a little busy recently creating some large landscapes and didn't have time to knock out any portraits worth sharing so here's one from a few weeks back taken close to Chiang Dao. It's a bit grainy but I quite like the atmosphere.
Here's one of my recent panos if you're interested..
A CSX transportation building, next to the former Old Town Depot, turned Redemption Center.
"CSX Corporation is an American holding company focused on rail transportation and real estate in North America, among other industries. The company was established in 1980 as part of the Chessie System and Seaboard Coast Line Industries merger. The various railroads of the former Chessie System and Seaboard Coast Line Industries that are now owned by CSX Corporation were eventually merged into a single line in 1986 and it became known as CSX Transportation. CSX Corporation currently has a number of subsidiaries beyond CSX Transportation. Previously based in Richmond, Virginia after the merger, the corporation moved its headquarters to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2003. CSX is a Fortune 500 company.
CSX Transportation is a Class I railroad operating in the eastern United States and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The railroad operates approximately 21,000 route miles (34,000 km) of track.
As of December 30, 2016, CSX Transportation served population centers in 23 states east of the Mississippi River, the District of Columbia and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Also as of that date, it had access to over 70 ocean, river and lake port terminals along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, the Mississippi River, the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway.
Following a successful merger application to the Surface Transportation Board, CSX Corporation and CSX Transportation acquired Pan Am Railways in 2022, including a 50 percent stake in Pan Am Southern." (Wikipedia)

De MRCE 1206 LO32 van Veolia met 7 ECR class 66 aan de haak vertrekt hier vanaf de Maasvlakte opweg naar de Botlek waar eerder op de dag al een transport heen was gegaan.
While I was editing this I was listening to some really upbeat song so I imagined all the hands snapping their fingers to the beat and now I think this picture is hilarious.

37086 gently vibrates the platform as it waits for the clock to tick round to 13.30. The train will then depart for the shortish run to Leeds. Although the station is still imposing BR's policy of "neglect and it will go away" is evident, particularly in that half of the station name board is missing on one of the main platforms.
37086 was a product of Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd, it went new to Gateshead on 28/12/1962 as D6786. it became 37086 under TOPS and was again renumbered 37516, 01/04/1987. it was withdrawn from West Coast Railway Company 30/09/2008 and sent to C.F. Booth, Rotherham where it was cut 31/01/2009

This is the 13th photo in a series of analog photos I took when I was in Berlin for a week in October this year.
All of them are taken with a Zenit TTL and the film is all Kodak Gold and Kodacolor.
More pictures will follow, chronologically, as some kind of diary, an experiment, a documentation of what it was like. Because one photo tells more of a story than a 1000 words.
The series is called Berlin'10 and I'm putting all of it in the set with the same title.
Dominique (stranger 13)
“I have a date with my boyfriend tonight,” Dominique said. And so early, eleven o’clock in the morning, she was painting her nails. The jar of nail polish on a wall in front of her. “At least I’m on time,” she said. “Yes, you can take a picture.” In the meantime, she had removed one headphone from her ear so she could hear me. Can I take a picture that also shows your new nails? That was no problem either.
This is already the 13th picture of the 5th round of the 100stangers project.
