PS. Thanks for everyone for the support & actually it wasn't that cold.. I only took my shirt off for 5-10 minutes.. the trick is to keep your toes and fingers warm, then you're a-okay.

From Wikipedia : "Erasmusbrug (English: "Erasmus Bridge") is a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city, second largest in the Netherlands. The bridge was named after Desiderius Erasmus, a prominent Christian renaissance humanist also known as Erasmus of Rotterdam.
The 802-metre-long (2,631 ft) bridge across the New Meuse was designed by Ben van Berkel and completed in 1996. The cable-stayed bridge section has a single 139-metre-high (456 ft) asymmetrical pale blue pylon with a prominent horizontal base, earning the bridge its nickname "The Swan".
The southernmost span of the bridge has an 89-metre-long (292 ft) bascule bridge for ships that cannot pass under the bridge. The bascule bridge is the largest and heaviest in Western Europe and has the largest panel of its type in the world."

At last count there are 35 McDonalds in the City of Albuquerque. (The metro area population of Albuquerque in 2020 was 915,000). Gosh that makes me 1 in almost a million.
I'll put my hands up and admit I love their fries and coffee.

Well worth a watch is the film "The Founder" a biographical drama film that portrays businessman Ray Kroc and his creation of the McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain.

142 and a wake up to go. That's all that's left for me and Gloria. That's the nickname I gave my machine gun by the way. It's saved my life more times than I could count you know? I think we should name our daughter that when she's born. The first Gloria saved my life with lead, and she'll save me with love. Big Red got zapped the other day. Second platoon got ambushed by the old riverbed I told you about and we went to bail them out. He ran straight into a tripwire, Ernie took some shrapnel from it too but he'll be fine. We have a lot of time between patrols these days, but God damn I can't wait to be out of this heat. I think we should move to Canada when I'm finally out. Two tours in this heat and 110 percent humidity is more than enough for a lifetime. I hear they have excellent healthcare up there. I don't want our daughter to have to live in a country always at war. Where her husband or son could die for a cause nobody believes in. I can't wait for your next letter, I hope everything is well!
