there was thunder and lightning and so.much.rain. i was sure nature class would be cancelled. it wasn't. a morning scramble to get the family out the door only to decide in the last minute to tag along. a full sweet day in the wet woods. watching the river and taking in this wonderful world. rain, sun, rain, sun, rain, sun...
it feels (really) nice to be home, dry and warm.
According to the eldest all the animals are taking it in turns to play at tightropes on the dinosaur's tail. Though to my, obviously untrained eye it looks like they're doing a giant conga round the living room.
Another lovely, busy day today with lots of people over for lunch and a new year catch up Good to see everyone, but very tired children by bedtime. Hopefully they'll have a good night's sleep ready for the week ahead.

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Winter is closing in fast here in Scotland so it is time to start wrapping up warm. The average September temperature for the UK has been 10 degrees lower than it was last year. Stay warm and enjoy!
This is part 13 of a series of photos of cemeteries. All taken with a 50mm lens on my trusty Nikon D800. Some sort of creative challenge for me. Let's see where this will lead to.

When the opportunity arose to work in Virtual Environments in an educational context, I felt the need to create an avatar physically similar to me. Until recently, this avatar was almost only used in academic situations.

The Tower is an iconic landmark on top of the beautiful Cotswolds escarpment. It was the brainchild of the great 18th century landscape designer, “Capability Brown”. His vision was carried out for George William 6th Earl of Coventry with the help of renowned architect James Wyatt and completed in 1798 on Beacon Hill.
