if you saw the race, you know what happens...
Alberta Driver's 2006 Handbook
(Caution do not take this seriously, "some will & do")
1. Turn signals will give away your next move. A confident Alberta driver avoids using it.
2. Under no circumstance should you maintain a safe distance between you and the car in front of you, because the space will be filled in by somebody else, putting you in an even more dangerous situation.
3. The faster you drive through a red light, the less of a chance you have of getting hit.
4. Warning! Never come to a complete stop at a stop sign. No one expects it and it will result in your being rear-ended.
5. Never get in the way of an older car that needs extensive bodywork, especially with B.C. or Sask, plates. With no insurance, the other operator has nothing to lose.
6. Braking is to be done as hard and late as possible to ensure that your ABS kicks in, giving a vigorous, foot massage as the brake pedal violently pulsates. For those of you without ABS, it's a chance to strengthen your leg muscles.
7. Never pass on the left when you can pass on the right. It's a good way to prepare other drivers entering the highway.
8. Speed limits are arbitrary figures; given only as a suggestion and are not enforceable in Alberta during rush hour, especially in Calgary.
9. Just because you're in the left lane and have no room to speed up or move over doesn't mean that an Alberta driver flashing his high beams behind you doesn't think he can go faster in your spot.
10. Always brake and rubberneck when you see an accident or even someone changing a tire. This is seen as a sign of respect for the victim.
11. Learn to swerve abruptly without signaling. Alberta is the home of high-speed slalom-driving; thanks to the Department of Public Works, which puts pot-holes in key locations to test drivers' reflexes and keep them alert.
12. It is tradition in Alberta to honk your horn at cars in front of you that do not move three milliseconds after the light turns green.
13. To avoid injury in the event of a collision or rollover, it is important to exit your vehicle through the windshield right away. Wearing your seat belt will only impede your high-velocity escape from danger.
14. Remember that the goal of every Alberta driver is to get ahead of the pack by whatever means necessary.
&
15. In Alberta, flipping the bird' is considered a polite salute. This gesture should always be returned.

Leslie, Andrew, Craig and I played our second game on the easiest setting (four Epidemic cards). We were more careful this time to balance our efforts between managing outbreaks and curing diseases. With just 2 player cards (1 turn's worth) remaining, we cured the last disease to squeak out a victory. The scary thing is that we really got lucky because the 4th Epidemic card was at the bottom of the deck, so we effectively won on a "super easy" setting.

NICK(周湯豪)高雄場唱了3首歌,
1.《Turn up 》
2.《帥到分手》
3.《My Boo》
3.《TURN UP》
就覺得會中,唱片公司有燒錢喔!
終於有公司好好栽培他了。
2017.1.14(六)只是簽唱會怎麼是4個月後啊?氣勢都減弱了。

"10-10--10" and the 2nd annual Youth Climate Summit to be held at The Wild
Center on November 9th and 10th.
Students are volunteering for this Sunday's "10-10-10" event to raise
awareness about climate change. A fundraiser pancake breakfast at the
Shipman Youth Center in Lake Placid began the day serving at 9 AM and will
end at 1PM. Cost is $5, Children "10" and under $3. (Proceeds to go to the
HS Environmental Clubs).
Work party continues until 3 PM. Help us:
1) Turn your old t-shirts into tote bags
2) Plant garlic and winter cover crops in school garden
3) Build a compost system and a rain barrel and gutter system

Have you hugged Earth today?
Here Omnicity 1 departs on the 11:15am departure from Newbury Station to Vodafone HQ via Newbury town centre. I was slightly disappointed to see this arrive as Solar 1032 had departed on 10:45am departure (the train I arrived on was scheduled to arrive at 10:44am). Just after 11:15am, Omnicity 1 turned up displaying not in service so presumably this was the start of a new driver's duty.

Ion Orchard building, 1 Orchard Turn, (Cnr Orchard & Scotts Rds), Singapore.
Designed by leading architecture firm Benoy, who brought shoppers iconic malls such as the Bullring in Birmingham, UK, ION Orchard’s signature futuristic architecture has won two prestigious awards at MAPIC 2006 against stiff competition from submissions from around the world. The panel recognized that ION Orchard “demonstrates unique and progressive urban design” that will bring vitality to one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent sites.
The Benoy team looked to nature for inspiration and re-imagined the orchards that made up the origins of the site, continuing the theme of growth in the design: from seed to stem to tree. The powerful organic presence communicated through a uniquely free form feel, amorphous cladding and tree-like columns will provoke interaction between visitor and destination.

San Gregorio.
We started at Union City BART, rode over the Dumbarton Bridge, all the way down 84 to Highway 1. Turned South at the coast, then East on Pescadero Road. Stayed the night at Memorial Park (in the cheap little dome tent on the top of my rack), went home the next day.
My traveling companion took this picture with a cheap disposable film camera, and I mailed a print (in a stamped envelope) to Richard Schwinn at Waterford. I thought he'd like it, and didn't give it much thought after I dropped it in the mailbox.
Three years later, a customer came in to Cycle City and told me that I was on the Waterford website, but that my name wasn't right. I looked for myself and there I was. With the wrong name. I emailed Richard, and he responded quickly, apologized for the error, and corrected the photo's description on the website.
This image is still on Waterford's online rider's gallery. I still have this wonderful bike. I'll tour again.
Someday.

PARTS
• 2 or 3 12-position rotary switches (or 10-position, whatever you can get)
• 2 pin or banana jacks (to match your test leads)
• resistor assortment from 5 ohms to 1M or greater; gold bands (5% tolerance) are better than silver bands (10% tolerance).
• project box
INSTRUCTIONS
1- Get a box and drill holes for mounting two or three 12-position rotary switches. Drill holes also for the two jacks.
2- Mount the switches and the jacks; label switch positions with corresponding resistor values.
3- Follow this diagram and solder resistors directly to the lugs of the rotary switches.
NOTE: If you solder the resistors so their unsoldered leads extend the opposite direction of the switch's shaft, these leads can be gathered together and soldered at once, connected to the bus wire terminating in point "A".
• The first switch would provide the lowest resistance, the next would provide mid-range resistors, and the final switch would be wired to the resistors with the greatest resistance.
• As seen, the 12th lug of the depicted switch connects to the next switch in the array. Naturally, the final switch in the array would have its 12th lug connected to the final resistor in the matrix.
PANEL
To mark the panel for the resistor values:
1- Turn the mounted switches to position "1" (doesn't matter at all how you orient the switches, just turn them to their lowest resistor settings).
2- Place knobs loosely on shafts and turn their pointers to wherever you want "1" (your lowest resistor value) to be located around the dial (near top or bottom of dial, usually).
3- Once all pointers are angled to this position, tighten their set screws to keep them in place.
4- With your marker, put dots where the pointers point as you click them all around their orbits.
5- Label these dots with the corresponding resistor values. Position "12" can be marked with an arrow pointing to the next switch.
USAGE
1- Set all rotary switches to "12" for starting position. This will provide the greatest resistance available (this is safest on the circuit). Plug your test leads in.
2- Begin turning the LAST dial downward and observe the response of the circuit (LED brightness, audio output, circuit clocking - whatever you're after).
3- When you get to position "1" on this switch, turn the next rotary switch to position "11" to continue the resistance decrease, and so on until you reach the resistance value desired.
4- Observe the resistance the dial is pointing to; grab another resistor of the same value, and your green LED will never again scare you with that ember-like, off-yellow, over-voltage, "Seeya in LED Halvala" glow.
On the 2 Days i visited this lovely location hopeing to get some freight, not a single 1 turned up!
So the best i could do was this light engine move with 1116 120 + 1144 094 + 1116 266 passing Rosenegg on Saturday 26th May 2012.

This is a very high quality, cosmopolitan M1 Garand, and the bolt is a German Sauer and Son unit from Suhl (Thuringia), Germany, on a Breda receiver, and so on.
These were probably the best bolts ever produced for the Garand, and seem to have been the last. "Best" mainly means set up for used rifles and benefitting from latest technology. There isn't much to choose between the postwar specification bolts.
It is a stainless 1 turn in 12" barreled unit, in .308, a vastly more efficient and accurate round, far more similar to the original .276 Pedersen Center fire than was the .30 Model of 1906 with which this design fought in WW2 and Korea.

M’ILLUMINO DI MENO
Energy Saving Day
- 13 February 2009 - 6 pm -
M’illumino di meno (I will use less light) is both one of the most important awareness campaigns on energy saving and a widespread symbolic one day event. It was first launched on 16 February 2005, when the Kyoto Protocol, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions from developed nations, came into force.
National Energy Saving Day The day’s philosophy is to convince as many people as possible to focus on saving energy. Everybody will be asked to reduce their private energy consumption to the minimum from 6:00-7:30pm. By doing so the maximum visibility in the media and the largest participation by common people are concentrated on the Energy Saving Day.
The fifth National Energy Saving Day will be held on 13 February 2009. The initiative has received for the second year the Patronage of the European Parliament and aims to grow as a European and world experience
Good habits for February 13 (and after!)
1. turn off the lights when not needed
2. turn off the electronic stand-by (options on all appliances.)
3. frequently defrost the refrigerator, keep the coil clean and away from the wall so air can circulate
4. put the lid on pots when you boil water and avoid as long as the flame is wider than the bottom of the pot (?) questa no la capisco
5. if you lower the heat radiators instead of opening windows
6. reducing fixtures (leakage)spifferi of (insulation)filling material that does not (circulate)move air
7. use tends(drapes) to create spaces in front of the windows, the fixtures, doors external
8. Do not leave curtains closed(drawn) in front of radiators
9. insert special film and reflective insulation between the outer walls and the radiators
10. use the car as little as possible and if necessary with those who share the same route.
And remember to turn off all lights and electrical devices (that) are not indispensable Friday February 13 at 18.00!
The initiative was first launched by Caterpillar, a popular and successful live radio program which reaches more than a million listeners per day. Caterpillar is broadcast by Radio2, the entertaining channel of RAI, the Italian Public Service Broadcaster. The program airs from 6pm to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday and deals with major issues and themes in the world in an informal and ironic way underlining contradictions and paradoxes in our society.
