This is basically a revamp of a series I attempted. Every major event that I liked from the New 52 and Rebirth i will take a photo of the main characters of it. And this issue is for the Justice League's origins in the New 52, where Darkseid tries to take over Earth.
From L to R:
Darkseid, Parademon(hooded version), Batman, Green Lantern, Superman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg
This is personally my favorite telling of the the Justice League's origin story. Tell me what yours was in the comments!
(P.S. sorry for bad quality. It was hard to focus well on such a large group of characters. One day I might redo it when I get better)
(P.P.S. I cancelled the villain week for now. It'll probably start again in between when I finish Vortex Vol. 1, and move on to my next project. The timing just didn't seem right for it, as I will be really busy for the next few days. Also a new Vortex issue will drop sometime before the week is over!)
The first of what I hope will be a series: PROPAGANDA posters of WW1 (Maybe also of WW2).
As always tell me what you think and if you want to see more!

"Hey, warden! Ever want to see me use the Force?" James Jesse Jr. yelled at the camera in his cell. A response instantly came.
*krssh* "Not today, Jesse. I have had enough with your...tricks." *krssh*
Jesse mocked a sigh and laid down, messing with the multiple items he had obtained over the years. It had been one month since the arrival of the Flash, and Jesse had become obsessed with her. Who is she? Why does she do what she does? Would she be able to stop him if he got out?
Suddenly, a loud crash sounded, followed by falling debris that had very nearly squashed Jesse. He looked to the opening and saw that 2/3 of his cell were now destroyed. A voice called behind him.
"You James Jesse?" asks the man, and Jesse took a minute to take him in. The man was easily almost seven feet tall, and stood there with muscles the size of logs. Strangely, his shirt had almost completely ripped apart, revealing that most of his skin took the appearance and texture of steel or iron. Jesse smiled.
"That was my father. I'm Jim."
"Whatever. I got an anonymous benefactor who wants you outta here."
"Oooookay. Any particular reason, or does he like me for my knitting?"
"He did bring up something he wants you to do...
"Kill the Flash."
Jesse's face grew into a massive grin.
"Gimme a sec."
He grabbed a green box and a piece of paper and wrote something in crayon, then closed the box and ran out with this human piece of a steel girder. The wind whipped against his face, and he breathed it all in.
"Look out Central City. The Trickster is back, and I'm not taking any chances this time."

In Illinois.

So far,
Martin

PHAENO STUDY #1
Happy new year!
After there were not that much photographic news in the last weeks in 2014 by myself, I found the time to shoot the Phaeno building in Wolfsburg (Germany) by the architect Zaha Hadid. Since I'm a great fan of her, the Phaeno has been on my list for a long time. The good news is: The building offers so many interesting perspectives such that there will be a whole series of photos of that building in the next days/weeks.
The first part of the series is somehow quite similar with respect to composition than other fine art architecture shots by me. I simply love these dramatic lines and angles in the 1:1 format. And especially with a building of Zaha Hadid, I cannot ignore this perspective since these lines and angles are a characteristic part of her architectural work from her beginnings on.
So far,
Martin
PS: The exact data of the capture can be found on www.schmaidt.de in my blog.

Fed and brushed Mama, did a quick recon around to
make sure all is OK at Mamas place.Didn't interact with
any of the other dogs. Took off to see No# 1 Wife .
Spent a few hours with No# 1, mostly watching everyone work.
Arrived home just before dark where 3 hungry dogs were waiting.
Tomorrows plan is to leave early again and head straight for
