This is one more shot from Lost Lake. It looks a bit surreal. There were two young photographers making time lapse video. From time to time they lightened the lake with red light. I didn't see them as it was very dark, but I saw the red light. Actually I like the effects.
It was one shot: f/2.8, ISO 6400, 25 sec.
Location: The river Prüm in Irrel in the South Eifel near the Luxembourg border and not far from my home.
Looking for new perspectives today I found this place, where you stand in the water. There I hear then only the sound of water, a true meditation.

Ross Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The carousel is housed in a wooden, one story, 16-sided, pavilion topped by an eight sided cupola. The carousel has 60 horses standing four abreast, each of which is a "jumper," and two chariots. It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company and contains its original Wurlitzer Military Band Organ. The carousel was purchased about 1920 and is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), president of Endicott Johnson Corporation.
A view of Hozu- kyo ( the valley of Hozu) from Arashiyama-Takao Road
Fortunately I could see a trroco train going on a bridge :)
location : Arashiyama Takao Parkway ,Kyoto city ,Kyoto Prefecture,Japan
I have taken many photos of the trees down this stretch of road and each time they come out a little different. The combination of stormy sky and the sun going down made for beautiful light and shadows.

Goldener Oktober
Die Sonne streichelt sanft das Land,
die Blätter fallen leise.
Der Herbst färbt wieder bunt die Welt,
in altbekannter Weise.
Die Bäume leuchten golden-gelb,
im hellen Sonnenlichte.
Der Wind, der mit den Blättern spielt,
erzählt seine Geschichte.
Der Wald zeigt sich im bunten Kleid,
ein Feuerwerk aus Farben.
Kastanien schimmern rot und braun,
den schönsten Glanz sie haben.
Die Tiere sammeln fleißig schon,
für Winters kalte Zeiten.
Nun müssen wieder Mensch und Tier,
sich langsam vorbereiten.
Geerntet wird das letzte Obst,
der Wein wird nun gelesen.
Gefeiert wird der Erntedank,
das ist der Herbst gewesen.

In the distance, the Strasbourg Cathedral or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, or Cathédrale de Strasbourg, German: Liebfrauenmünster zu Straßburg or Straßburger Münster), also known as Strasbourg Minster, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. Although considerable parts of it are still in Romanesque architecture, it is widely considered to be among the finest examples of high, or late, Gothic architecture.

I haven't done a Macro Mondays shot for quite some time, so I decided to give it a go this week.
HMM!
On a cold winter evening, the Rio Grande Ski Train waits at the Fraser, Colorado, station at dusk on a snowy January 3, 2004. Those warming heaters inside the shelter sure felt good while taking this photo! Soon, the train will depart for Winter Park to pick up a load of exhausted skiers ready to head back to Denver after a day on the slopes.
Embrace the Rainbow in dreamy landscape of Skogafoss!
The majestic Skogafoss waterfall is located on the Skoga river in the south of Iceland.
Skogafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a width of 25 metres and a drop of 60 meters. There’s a lot of spray being generated by the waterfall and you can see a rainbow in the water when the sun is shining.
The very steep stairway to the right side of the Skogafoss waterfall lead to a hiking trail up to the Fimmvörduhals pass between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjökull where you can see more of Iceland's phenomenal nature.
From this point you can see Jostedalsbreen, the largest glacier in mainland Norway. Views like this is hard not to fall in love with.

In 1908, the Düsseldorf-based Central-trade-ssociation for Rhineland, Westphalia and neighbouring districts praised a competition for a fountain in front of the Düsseldorf Art Palace.
As a "figurative representation of the iron industry and the mining industry," it was to be sent to the 1902 on the site on the banks of the Rhine (then Kaiser Wilhelm Park, now Rheinpark) the industrial and commercial exhibition was held.
Among the 44 designs submitted, the jury, which was prominently occupied by the painter Fritz Roeber, the painter Georg Oeder, the architect Wilhelm Kreis and the Düsseldorf garden director Walter von Engelhardt, was Prize awarded, so also do not recommend a design for execution. It was initially planned to give the authors of the shortlisted drafts the opportunity to revise them in a second stage of competition (a closer competition).
The fountain was built in its original form between 1911 and 1913. While the Düsseldorf architect Gotthold Nestler designed the actual well complex, the sculptor Friedrich Coubillier created the three bronze figures "Schmied Vulkan," "Bergmann" and "Hüttenarbeiter." Miner and cottage worker are depicted in the loincloth. The bronze casting of the figures took place at the Kunstgießerei Lauchhammer.
On the occasion of the opening of the Grand Art Exhibition in 1913, the industrial fountain in front of the former Art Palace was inaugurated. In 1925 the fountain was dismantled there because of the extensive new buildings at the Ehrenhof.
In 1939, the three sculptures were erected in a new facility on Fürstenplatz in Friedrichstadt. In 1942 the figures were to be melted down as metal donations by the German people for armaments and were removed. However, they remained intact, and in 1950 they were restored.
