I don't know if there ever was Gold in Cologne, but if there was, they must have put it into this into this bridge. When I got close, I could see there is is another kind of gold on the bridge. It's full of padlocks hung by lovers. I have never ever seen so many padlocks in one place, as on this bridge. It's from one end to the other.

Von dieser Anhöhe hat man einen schönen Blick in Richtung Süden gen Alpen.
In Real waren die Alpen gut zu erkennen, da dort auch die Sonne schien. Da der Himmel hier ziemlich trübe war, die Sonne aber trotzdem durch schien, hab ich mal eine Belichtungsreihe probiert.
Mit Lightroom zu einem HDR zusammen gefügt und in Photoshop einige störende Elemente entfernt.
Danach den Feinschliff mit ON1 Photo 10.

Perhaps another image which finds its beauty in B&W. The original green color was not a shade I was fond of! This was the parting glimpse I had of the beautiful canal that feeds into the lake of the backwaters. There are a few more images of the lake that are coming soon before we leave this beautiful place.

Ich habe sie gesehen - die Sonne! Nach einem grauen Tag heute hat sie sich kurz vor Sonnenuntergang am Himmel gezeigt - bevor die graue Wolkenwand sie wieder verschluckt hat. Hier ist sie - kurz vor ihrem Abschied :-)
After being in Tasmania for 10 days and nights we had a starry sky to shoot for a few hours
We arrived here about 11pm after capturing the sunset at Binalong Bay
I got up at 3am to capture this as I needed to wait for the Milkyway to position itself east/west over the Eddystone Point Lighthouse in the Bay of Fires .
There was suppose to be low level Aurora activity most of that week
I used the parking lights on my car to light the lighthouse
I probably should have still lightpainted the immediate foreground
The grounds here were full of wildlife including several wombats feeding on the fresh grass shoots
I went back for a quick sleep before sunrise only to wake to a windy and wet change , so I just got these shots
This is a seven shot stitch
a beautiful and highly recommended national park not far from the city of Luoping/Yunnan/South West China.

Yesterday we went for a day trip to our neighbors in Austria, unfortunately we did not have snow, but at least there was sunshine.

A magnificent bull elk pauses as he is about to cross the deep water portion of the Snake River. Taken in Grand Teton National Park off of Oxbow Bend Road. I love how the early morning sun lights of the tips of his antlers and face.

Buddha in parinirvana, Gandhara art, 2nd or 3rd century
Reclining Buddha of Galvihara at Polonnaruwa (Sri Lanka, 12th century)
A reclining Buddha is a statue that represents Buddha lying down and is a major iconographic and statuary pattern of Buddhism. It represents the historical Buddha during his last illness, about to enter the parinirvana[citation needed]. He is lying on the right flank, his head resting on a cushion or relying on his right elbow, supporting his head with his hand.
This pattern seems to have emerged at the same time as other representations of the Buddha in the Greco-Buddhist art of Gandhara.
