"made it ma! top of the waterfalls"
These waterfalls are absolutely beautiful during the autumn season and well worth the trip up the hill.
Osteospermum is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the Calenduleae, one of the smaller tribes of the sunflower/daisy family Asteraceae. They are known as the daisybushes or African daisies. It has been given several common names: African daisy, South African daisy, Cape daisy and blue-eyed daisy. Osteospermum used to belong to the genus Dimorphotheca, but only the annual species remain in that genus; the perennials belong to Osteospermum. It has been given several common names: African daisy, South African daisy, Cape daisy and blue-eyed daisy. There are about 50 species, native to Africa, 35 species in southern Africa, and the southwestern Arabian Peninsula. They are half-hardy perennials or sub-shrubs. 21342

A gate in the ancient Roman Aurelian walls, named after the church San Giovanni in Laterano, just a stone's throw away. So the wall is ancient, it was built 271-275 A.D. and named after the emperor Aurelian (Aurelianus). The gate is not the original from that time, the gate for this part of the wall is the Porta Asinaria that is right next to this one. But with all the traffic to the church the pope decided to have a new gate built in the 1570s, and the result is this one - inaugurated in 1574 (probably more practical but very much less imposing than the Asinaria one which is situated just beside it - and looks like this www.flickr.com/photos/dameboudicca/50779414817/

In the distance, the Strasbourg Cathedral or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, or Cathédrale de Strasbourg, German: Liebfrauenmünster zu Straßburg or Straßburger Münster), also known as Strasbourg Minster, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. Although considerable parts of it are still in Romanesque architecture, it is widely considered to be among the finest examples of high, or late, Gothic architecture.

This lovely design is from Miyuki Kawamura. When you turn them, you will have a different view.
The name origami "Dualo" came from the polyhedron of the center of the model. Here you can see two modules.
You can make several variations with this nice module:
-The little ones are made from 6 modules each.
-The middle ones made from 12 modules each and you can choose for a 3 or 4 unit of modules, which gives different results.
-For the bigger ones you need 30 modules each and also here the choice is 3 or 5 unit.
I used these 60 modules also for an other pattern.
Each module is folded from 7,5x7,5 cm, duo-colered paper.

*Süntelbuche im Herbst*
Last Wednesday I drove to the northern Eifel to catch a few autumn moods. Fortunately, the over 200 year old dwarf beech tree on a Celtic burial mound near Blankenheim still had a few autumn-colored leaves ... and occasionally the sun came out.
Thanks for visiting!

Korestia is a historic region of Western Macedonia in Greece. It’s a cluster of mountain villages (Ano and Kato Kranionas, Halara, Ano and Kato Melas, Makrochori, Mavrokampos, Agios Antonios, Gavros) exhibiting strong architectural and cultural interest. The traditional architecture of the villages is great for the region of Western Macedonia. Old houses are constructed with handmade bricks with red clay and straw, giving a reddish color to the landscape. The construction of the houses was maintained until the mid-20th century and then abandoned.

Found her during a fototrip in Darmstadt Park Rosenhöhe with my fotofriend Dagmar www.flickr.com/photos/137645690@N02/
on a dull day. At a time, the sun came out.... what luck !!
The Rosenhöhe (Rose Heights) is a beautiful garden, which was previously a vineyard in the possession of the royal house. It was transformed into a landscaped garden in the English style at the beginning of the 19th century. The royal architect Georg Moller decorated the park with tea-houses and pavilions.
The mystical park serves also as the cemetery for the Duches of Darmstadt with two impressive mausoleum buildings in its remote parts.
