I often overlook Seagulls when I am out and about as they are so common. However, on a recent outing there were several Gulls sitting on a fence and surrounding cement posts. I took several shots of this bird and caught him in various poses. Later, when I was processing the images from the day, this one caught my eye with the bokeh ball above the Gulls head and the birds overall pose. It looks like the bird has an idea or is thinking with the bokeh above his head! Anyway, I thought it to be an amusing image of this Seagull and an image worthwhile sharing. View large for details.

The "Slikken van Flakkee" are between Goedereede and Herkingen (behind Melissant). The west side area is bordered by the Grevelingenmeer. The total area covers approximately 1,500 hectares reclaimed land, and 1250 ha. water which is shallower than 2.5 meters. The shore length is approximately 20 km. The width of the area ranges between 500 and 2500 meters.

Bells Pond -This pond is a run off and fed from the Waitaki River in South Canterbury. It has canals that run out from it in east & westerly directions to provide water for irrigation on rural farmland.

I don't know if there ever was Gold in Cologne, but if there was, they must have put it into this into this bridge. When I got close, I could see there is is another kind of gold on the bridge. It's full of padlocks hung by lovers. I have never ever seen so many padlocks in one place, as on this bridge. It's from one end to the other.

In der Vergangenheit habe ich es im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ziemlich bunt getrieben in meinem Stream; das soll sich im neuen Jahr ändern. Den Anfang möchte ich mit einem Motiv machen was Euch "in bunt" bestens bekannt sein dürfte :-))
In the past my stream was a place full of colors; that might change a bit this year. I will make a start with a motive which is likely to be well known "in color" :-))
