The tea terraces of Munnar ramble on for miles. Many were planted when the British controlled the country. Now a huge conglomerate called Tata owns the various properties. Tata also makes the new cars seen on the highways of India.

The business of cultivating tea is enormous as well. That is until it comes down to the harvesting. About every three months or so, only the new leaves are cut on a plant that are then processed into the tea that we finally drink!

Mt. Robson (3,954 m = 12,972 ft), is also known as "Cloud Cap Mountain" and by climbers as the "Great White Fright."

With 2,975 m (9,760 ft) elevation gain from the valley floor below it is a difficult challenge for those brave enough to climb it.

Dublin Castle (Irish: Caisleán Bhaile Átha Cliath) is a major Irish government complex, conference centre, and tourist attraction. It is located off Dame Street in Dublin, Ireland.

Until 1922 it was the seat of the British government's administration in Ireland. Most of the current construction dates from the 18th century, though a castle has stood on the site since the days of King John, the first Lord of Ireland. The Castle served as the seat of English, then later British, government of Ireland under the Lordship of Ireland (1171–1541), the Kingdom of Ireland (1541–1800), and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (1800–1922).

After the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty in December 1921, the complex was ceremonially handed over to the newly formed Provisional Government led by Michael Collins.

It now hosts the inauguration of each President of Ireland and various State receptions.

The castle was built by the dark pool ("Dubh Linn") which gave Dublin its name. This pool lies on the lower course of the River Poddle before its confluence with the River Liffey; when the castle was built, the Liffey was much wider, and the castle was effectively defended by both rivers. The Poddle today runs under the complex.

It can be very pleasing to be out early in the morning. This spot was as peaceful and quiet as it seems. Wish you all a wonderful Sunday!

An over 180° panorama of the Schrannenplatz in the town of Erding. The red building on the left is the Schrannenhalle, built 1866 in gothic revival style. A Schranne in southern Germany is a storage and trading place for grains, mostly wheat, barley and rye.

In case the town name Erding rings a bell:

Yes, this is the town where the Erdinger beer comes from. 🍺

(Gesualdo Bufalino)

Life is a path along which we grow, we encounter obstacles, we struggle to achieve our dreams and we become wiser by all going in the same direction. Our stay is limited, but this does not mean we must live passively oppressed by our destiny. On the contrary, we must try to get the best out of existence.

There are those who travel to get lost, there are those who travel to find themselves.

(Gesualdo Bufalino)

Our visit of the famous North Cape in Norway during our Hurtigruten trip with the MS Polarlys

It was such an amazing feeling to be there, having the impression to be at end's world with an wonderful view on the endless ocean.

Despite of having iced fingers related to rain and snow, the great view, let you forget the coldness.

Seen near Munich airport.

Ban Gioc – Detian Falls or Ban Gioc falls
