Monroe County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 152,021.The largest city and county seat is Monroe. The county was established as the second county (after Wayne County) in the Michigan Territory in 1817 and was named for then-President James Monroe.

This animated squirrel found a place to hide and eat at the same time. He defended his pumpkin from another squirrel that wanted to join the party, and I took this picture as he popped up to take a look around.

This 113.7 meters tall skyscraper in Munich was completed in 1981.

Over 130 metal sculptures created by artist Ricardo Breceda from 2007 to 2012 are scattered around Anza-Borrego state park. There are dinosaurs, serpents, birds of prey, giant insects and many other creatures all created of scrap metal. The artist lives nearby in Temecula, California.
