There is hardly a better place in my area to enjoy a perfect Autumn day than the open-air -museum in Detmold. We spent a whole day in beautiful sunshine without a cloud in this lovely location.
The LWL-Freilichtmuseum in Detmold is a great place to learn and experience the world of our ancestors. The open-air-museum is covered with buildings, tools, animals and plants of countryside life in Northwest Germany in the last couple of centuries. An endless source of inspiration for HDR photography.

I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. In 2013 the park was closed because of the government shutdown (don't get me started). Last year, clouds rain and snow kept the Tetons hidden while we were there. This year - bingo! While the sky did not light up much, the mountains sure did! It was a sight to behold and well worth the wait and cold temperatures!

While this is not the "Schnoor" alley itself, the alley "Am Landherrnamt" is already part of the Schnoor quarter.
The Schnoor quarter is the oldest documented quarter of Bremen and it has largely preserved its medieval character.
First mentioned in the 13th century. The two oldest remaining buildings are from 1401 and 1402 respectively.

The arum was even selected "Poisonous plant of the year" 2019 in Germany - spotted in the Nymphenburg Palace Park.

The European herring gull (Larus argentatus) is a large gull (up to 26 in (66 cm) long). One of the best known of all gulls along the shores of western Europe, it was once abundant. It breeds across Northern Europe, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic states. Some European herring gulls, especially those resident in colder areas, migrate further south in winter, but many are permanent residents, e.g. in the British Isles, Iceland, or on the North Sea shores. European herring gulls have a varied diet, including fish, crustaceans and dead animals as well as some plants.

Eng 👉Built in 1860, the Moulin Bleu (Blue Mill) is a traditional mill located along the St-Esprit river, in St-Roch-de-L'Achigan in Quebec. Even today, there are produced several types of flour, cereal flakes, grains and legumes. Saint-Roch-de-L'Achigan is located forty kilometers northeast of Montreal.

Candles in the Zen (Chan) Buddhist temple (菩提禅寺) in Anting.
The temple is dedicated to the Chan (禅) School of Buddhism, the mainstream of Buddhism in China.
Anting is a town far in the outskirts of Shanghai, nearly in neighbouring Jiangsu Province. The home town of Shanghai Volkswagen.

The "Duhnen" leaving Cuxhaven to transport pilots to the station ship "Elbe".
The "Duhnen", her sister "Döse" and the station ship are built using SWATH hull technology, making them less susceptible to wave motion.

Guelph’s Covered Bridge is a landmark crossing the Speed River. This magnificent lattice bridge was built in 1992 by over 400 volunteers from the Timber Framers Guild.
